now a little background

my great great grandmother did tapestries, she has them all over the world and some still hang in church's. ( ill have to find the book and see if i can get some pics for you

) my great great grandfather made spinning wheels called carrington wheels. most of which are now in the melbourne museum. my mum learnt how to use a spinning wheel and how to use a loom and produced her own tapestries for around the house. she started teaching me and my sisters when we were young, but none of use really took to it.
learning to weave on the little one i have is great to begin with soon my hubby plans on making me a viking weighted loom. great for re-enactment!! and hopefully ill soon have a spinning wheel.
