Mine has quite a ......ed history to it.
I've always been fond of studying martial arts... and I am well versed in Judo, Hapkido, and Jujitsu. Although I failed Jujitsu horribly (too much meditation and balance involved) I find a nice balance in between Judo and Hapkido. Sort of a defensive martial art paired with an offensive martial art.
Minja was something my friends joked about when we were all smoking
cannabis one late evening, which they all said I was only harmful or deadly on the stroke of midnight, making me a "midnight ninja" or a "minja". Of course that was years ago when I was a rebellious teenager. I have since grown up and realized life is worth more than getting high all day long (I have been sober for around 8 years). I also am quite into the art of urban design, A.K.A. Graffiti (Not "sally loves tom" or "f#$% you" sprayed under an overpass... I'm talking about tasteful LEGAL graffiti on designated walls)... and my friends and I would go on "minja missions" to see how fast we could paint a wall.
Since I became a father in 2001 I have dropped out of martial arts and I now do artwork... mostly custom airbrushing .... freelance auto design, in my spare time. I also occasionally do some tattoo work.
I work at a sewage treatment plant as a technician and operator during the days... but I guess the ninja thing... or minja thing just stuck.
