Hi, friend of mine, a non-smoker, told me I should try them so I could come inside. Started with an Eversmoke starter kit. It was ok and never lit another cigarette. Forty five days as of now. I switched to ego c on the 5th of July. Like the vapor and longer battery life. Still real new to all this and a ton of questions.

By the sound of it your on the right track. Keep it up and enjoy trying new flavors to keep things exciting.

Hi All,
This is my first post on ECF, have been lurking around for a few weeks gleaning info & reading everyone's stories....
Here's mine:
I bought an Ego T starter pack for myself & my mother-in-law in January this year after she was hospitalised with a broken neck and her Doc put the fear of God into her by telling her that she wouldn't heal properly (they put a metal plate into her neck and took bone from her hip to make a new vertebrae) if she continued to smoke - she'd been smoking for about 40 odd years and since going into hospital she's been smoke free! Even though my Father-in-law continues to smoke inside.
Well, if my chainsmoker Mother-in-law can give up, so can I!
Unfortunately I'd bought 0 nic juice and that left me craving the fags so I didn't stick to it.... then three weeks ago I caught an evil chesty 'flu and couldn't smoke without coughing violently... So I looked online and found another e-cig starter kit for 15€ that had 18mg nicotine juice..... (eleo.... think it's a clone of Leo)
Since then I've only had 2 analogues when my batteries both went flat on me when away for the weekend.... I can't believe how much better I feel in the morning - the cement block on my chest is GONE!! After 20+ years of smoking!
Now I've found some great online stores here in Germany and bought myself a couple of Clearomizers & a purty extra battery, as well as a juice kit to try some new flavours - so far am very happy with Hazelnut, it's like inhaling Nutella :).... Even with the €€ outlay so far, am still ahead - I was spending 5€ a day on analogues :-/ And I don't crave fags at all!!
SO HAPPY!!
I'm incredibly grateful to ECF and all it's members, Vapes Up to you all!

I guess what got me started this time was changing jobs, being upside down on a mortgage and having to rent in a new city while still paying for the vacant house in another state. Made finances a bit.... tight I guess you could say. Smoking 1.5-2 PDA gets a little pricey. Have dumped some money into getting the vape started again, but should break even after a month or so. May have to go get the Ego kit I gave my dad back from him as well, as I know he's not using it.

I quit smoking and used nic patches. My doctor told me to put on 2 of the highest concentration ones at a time. Did so - and still felt like I was going to climb the walls. Some-one told me her husband had bought an e-cig at the gas station. Straight after work I went there. They had none. Drove rather fast to the corner shop. They had what must be a super-super mini called hydro. I bought it. It worked. It was also horrendously expensive - $35 for 5 cartos and they and the battery only lasted about 30 mins. I had to stop the nic patches because they gave me a rash. So it was just me and ecigs. Looked online for e-cigs in NZ and started with Greensmoke. Vaped them for about three months - can you believe it? They are overpriced too. Read this forum and chose Volts from Smokeless Image. Love them. Getting an X2 soon as well. Have started my own dripping and carto filling. Haven't smoked since the day I quit. I now prefer vaping to smoking anyday.

Checkout line at a local gas station. I had noticed the display for Metro a few times and it always seemed to be empty. I saw them stocking the display on a Friday and by the next Monday the thing was empty. I asked the clerk if they worked and they said it depends on the person but Metro kits kept flying out of the store. I decided to give one a try and it was the best gas station purchase ever.

So far I have converted two pack a day smokers, one skoal user, and I am working on two more people. All of that was based off of the results of the sub par Metro kit. Now that I have an eGo and I know what real vaping is about I will be able to convert more.

I heard about vaping about 4 years ago, because it was relatively new, I thought I would wait until it was more developed, I thought if it was any good it would become popular, and here I am............

Vaping came to my attention Again a few weeks ago when the police pulled a bus over on the M6 and terrorised the people on it for FIVE hours, pointing guns at them, only to discover the bomb they were looking for was an ecig. I thought, wow, they give off enough vapour to simulate a "bomb" must be good!

Next, I was on holiday last week in Cornwall, I went into a shop to purchase some regular cigs, when I commented to the lady in the shop at how expensive they had become, she told me that she was a 40 a day smoker until she tried the ecig (she held it up and showed me) that got me thinking further.

Then, a few days ago whilst purchasing some pipe Backy in Sainsbury's, I noticed on the counter that they were advertising an ecig, I do not like to make impulsive purchases so I came home and looked on the Internet, I then discovered this great site and all the helpful information it has, watched videos on utube, sat down and ordered myself a Vision 1000 ultimate from Vapeescape. My ecig arrived in an amazing 24 hours (yesterday)

It has been one day since starting and I cannot believe how good ecigs are, and so easy to vape, just pop them into my top pocket, pull it out and puff, try that with a regular cig and see what you get! No ashtrays either.

Woohoo, I'm puffin away like a steam train :toast:

A friend of mine told me that his wife quit smoking by using an e cig, she used a brand called blu, at that time I did not know anything about it so I searched for blu and when I found out that they are bing sold at Walgreen, I drove there and bough me one, I thought was expensive but I loved the taste, and to be honest I am so grateful that I started with blu.

A couple of days later, I found ecf and then I bought the kGo, now I have the Provari with a vivi nova on top.

Been smoking fulltime for roughly 10 years and just started 1 month ago. Best decision ever!

Elusion Ecigs - got me started - did not work and was back on to analogues. 1 week later...

eGo C with clearomizers - was so so, but ultimately did not work - back on to analogues. 1 week later again...

ProVari with Liquinator/boge - SUCCESS!!! - off analogues over night and have been since :)

Took me 3 weeks and 3 tries .. but I kept at it cause I was determined to get off the cigarettes. Cannot stop raving about it now and have recommended making the switch to everyone I see by giving them a go on the eGo's. The ProVari is my one and only go to now.

I am another accidental quitter, Bought a cig a like to use when I was in places that smoking was not allowed. Started with that and just didn't smoke again :)

+1- Not much different for me. Took a cross country train ride a few weeks ago and wanted something to tide me over between stops, so I bought an eGo-C starter kit. Received the kit a few days before we departed and started vaping. By the end of the three-day trip I was basically down to a couple of analogs. A few days later I was off them completely. Just have not gone back.

Hello All, I am a noobie too! My adventure started with the Blu disposable and I loved it instantly, I purchased the Blu Premium 100 kit online and haven't had a analog since. I discovered quickly the batteries for the Blu ecigs did not last very long and became quite frustrated, but I refused to go back to smoking those nasty analogs. I love the flavor of Blu cartridges and ordered a bunch more and another battery. The problem I had was always having to keep those little batteries charged. I just received a Bloog kit and do enjoy the longer lasting battery and the flavors are nice too! Here's my thoughts on the whole battery issues - Save yourself some frustration and get a passthrough battery! It totally enhances the flavors!

I am anxiously awaitng the arrival a Ego with a 900 mah battery. I am hoping this will be the one I can use for when I am on the go!

I started with an eGo-C and stopped smoking instantly thanks to it after 20years.

A month later i bought a Lavatube and some CE4+ clearos and a little later decided to give some repairable atomizers a try.

Bought an Orionv2, a Bulli A2-TM and then came one thing to another, ending up with much love for GG devices, currently an Odysseus and Penelope.

Now looking forward to get my hands on my first GGTS :)

cheers phk

My girlfriend has an app on her iPhone that records me in my sleep saying all kinds of funny stuff!!
But it also recorded me coughing a hell of a lot, which I never knew and explains my rough sleeping.
So in a funny way the iPhone made me quit smoking!!

On your way to a healthier you. Iphones and ecigs changing lives across the world!!! :D

A good close friend of mine (kewlguyjeff) introduced me to e-cigs... He was kind enough to let me borrow (which he eventually ended up giving me) his ego-c kit... It took me about a week before I finally kicked the analogs for good. Since then, I bought an Apollo SS mini Vtube kit, a couple of ego twist batteries, and a Black Satin ProVari V2.

All of them still get their daily use... I use my egos for work and if I'm out and about... my Vtube and ProVari never leave the house, but get the most attention.

It's been over a month now, since my last analog... And I couldn't be more grateful... Thanks Jeff! You da man, bro!

A co-worker was using a disposible one. He offered me a try, did, liked it. About a week later he gave me one. Then went on to buy two more disposibles after that. Looked into local suppliers, bought a kit. Took me about 5 days to get use to it. It's been a little more than 6 days now without an analog.

Still adjusting and getting use to vaping in public, however it's well worth it.
