Although he did get a new one. I would get a new one from the shop too in his situation. It's too hard to have to vape a mod like that. It's just an upside-down situation...

Interesting! This made me look at my black/gold AL85 and it had no lettering on it. That is, until I took a second look and discovered the lettering you can't even see until you tilt it just right to see it very faintly. I would post a picture, but doubt I could even get it to show.

ETA: But it is right side up!

I have no clue but I hate Smok mods just based on threads like this... They're a bit too numerous for me.... Why not get a couple cheap stick mods with variable wattage that you can recharge with a charger and swap out? Seems to me it might be less expensive, depending on when your vacation comes up.... Best of luck, I have no clue how to do anything and maybe Smoke will LevelUp their products, but for now, they're in KT territory for me... Do not pass go, don't not collect $200, in fact, spend that amount with major regrets...

I am not overly fond of mine either. The mod is "OK", but lack of battery life and power limits my use of it.

I am also not a fan of slide in tubes for batteries! Based on prior experience. for the AL85 I carefully tested for batteries that would easily slide in to avoid that problem, then keep a couple marked and separate for only that use. Additional labeling and re-wraps are not your friend in this case.

Thank you. I don't want to separate batteries so I'll re wrap with a snug fit and then write the number with a sharpie to keep things thinner.
Nightmare, I don't need much of a reminder why my Gus and GP gear is the best around but here it is, I don't even like clones so the Chinese aren't bringing much to my table

I thought it was just me! They taste kinda weird. The power doesn't seem right. Even after you account for poor tech and change the wattage it's still not there.

I've taken my paps v4 and kfun lite upstairs. Even this old school gear can't be messed with.

Edit; bought a d4 1/2 weeks ago and that is cool though. Cost me about £30 and perfect for the job of a holiday.

My GX350 has 4 batteries, and all use tubes for the batteries. I have to shake the mod with the door open to get them to come out. They said you could take the sleeves out but that seems like a bit of a load. I was tugging at them and thought I was going to tear them. I like Smoks mods they just have really weird problems sometimes. Like my alien 220 battery door spring has crapped out so I have it shut with electrical tape. Fun stuff. I think my next mod may come from someone else.

You more than likely got a clone off eBay and that would explain the upside down logo. It much for quality control on clones. They just push them out in such high quality cause all that want is the $.
