I just started vaping, so this is a really cool thread! I get to see what y'all are using, not just stuff on display in the shops. I am using vaping to quit smoking. Seven days without a cigarette so far!! I've started with an eGo AIO. I really like the stick style of vapes. I don't like the bulkiness of the box style. Are there things I should know or any recommendations from you pros? Equipment to avoid? Things to NOT do? Things you wish you had known when you started, that kind of thing.

Please excuse my lack of knowledge of the lingo or equipment or if I'm going off on a tangent on the wrong thread.

Thanks, y'all! Happy vaping. :)
You stay right here: You’re in the right thread.

Wow, I have never been thinking that I can have 2 vapes at the same time... It looks very cool, but tell me guys - what's the point? Instead of hobby and keeping this at home - because I know that it looks soooo good
it's all about having multiple flavor options for me. I diy my own juice and rarely make the same recipe twice so I like to have 5 - 7 setups to choose from. also handy for when when you have to rewick/rebuild so you are never without a vape at hand. I only take one with me if leaving the house, unless I am going to be gone all day then I might take a spare, a couple batteries and juice bottles.

I almost always bring 3 charged mods with loaded 5-8ml tanks on them when I leave the house unless it's a quick local trip to Walgreens or pick-up at the pizza joint etc.
I won't pay $10 for a gross BT produced cigalike if I get delayed ever again IIHMW.
Better to have and not need yada yada

Well, see, you should always have two working setups, in case something happens to one. And then you should have a backup of each. And specialties, for those occasions where you don't want to risk a good setup (I'd rather take a small EVOD on a lanyard kayaking than a subohm RDA, for example), which needs its own backup...
Nine. You should have at least nine. :D

As above :)

While I never go out without at least two full and charged devices, I typically have about a dozen ready to pick up and vape. All different flavors. (Yes, I DIY my juice.) I like the variety.

Speaking of variety, I finally added the Mini to my rotation. Now I’m done. Hopefully this rotation will last through my vaping life.

I own (3) Kbox200 box mods (each w/Busardo Ares squonk lifts) and (3) Kbox mini's, and I rotate all six of them until I am half full on all of them and then I fill them all up, so theoretically if the average vaper, changes coils once a week, I can go six weeks before I have to change coils, that beats changing coils once a week (especially with rta's) where you have to build your own coils, but still wrapping six coils at a time is time consuming but so is wrapping one new coil each week:)

In my current rotation I have a Eleaf Invoke with an OBS Engine Nano, a Smoant Charon TC with a Zeus RTA, and a Wisemec Predator with an Ammit 25. I've been a single coil RTA vaper since the Kayfun and Lemo days. Still love single coil rebuildables. Also a fan of the Invoke. Hard to beat a dual battery mod that's about the size of a VTC mini. Great for travel.

The squonks have eradicated all my tanks....... It's like starting all over from scratch. I have hundreds worth of gear in the stash I no longer want to use.

Extremely nice squonk rotation.

So do I. I keep 6 always ready. I like the different flavors too. I think switching often hopefully keeps vaper’s tongue at bay. At the very least I suppose it prevents getting burned out on a flavor.
