Have to say I was surprised that cartotanks were not listed by either Baditude or Beck...what is the world coming to????
We all move on, don't we? For nearly two years cartotanks were my mainstay juice attachment and I was very happy with their performance. Compared to clearomizers and a trial with Genesis-style RBAs, they proved to be dependable, consistant, relatively trouble free, with excellent flavor. I still keep a couple cartotanks on the side for different flavors.
I was PIF'd a Kayfun Lite Plus a few months ago, and have been impressed with its overall performance, convenience, and simplicity. I call it a cartotank on steroids, as it works with negative pressure like a cartotank. It has become my main juice attachment. I wish it had a more open draw; I'm not about to attempt to drill out the air holes on a $100 tank. It's a minor inconvenience to empty/tear down the tank to change the wick every 3 - 5 days.
Being on a fixed low income, I like not having to change the coil every 10 - 20 days like I would with a clearo or carto. I simply dry burn the coil between wick changes - my current coil is 7 weeks old. A years supply of wire and cotton is cheap, so I'm saving money using rebuildables.
I've recently gotten into rebuildable drip atomizers, too. I like the open draw (drilled out the airholes larger), the lung inhales as opposed to tanks mouth inhales, and vapor production (still not a cloud chaser). I enjoy the convenience of changing flavors at will, but hate having to carry a bottle(s) of juice with me everywhere; so I generally use my Provari/KFL+ combo when out-and-about.
You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
