I've checked Arizona and Washington D.C.'s Secretary of State websites now and find no listing of the Electronic Cigarette Association anywhere. I checked Arizona because I thought I read that the CEO of Janty is also the head of the ECA and is from Arizona, and I checked DC because on the ECA wiki, it says it is a Washington DC organization. So maybe you could link to the state where you registered's SoS website for us so that we can view your public records? Thanks again in advance. <3

As was stated in a previous thread the ECA is registered in Washington D.C. (District of Columbia)

The papers were only filed weeks ago so there may some lag time with the powers that be uploading the files to the area you were searching.

Janty has not as of yet expressed any interest in ECA membership and has no employee/owner as a part of the board. You may have been confusing them with njoy CEO Jack Leadbeater who is on the board. Matt Salmon was a congressmen from Arizona but is now based in D.C.

here is the ECA head quarters address:

You enjoy spreading false information dont you? ;)

You know full well that Matt Salmon is the president of the ECA.

njoy also holds a seat on the board, but is not 'the head of it'

Not sure why you brought up Janty, they argent even based in AZ.

Give it a rest Baba/Terraphon.

Not sure what a Terraphon is but as of right now, there is no proof of the ECA's status as a not-for-profit, and ALL DONATIONS THEY ARE RECEIVING UNTIL THEY CAN PROVIDE PROOF OF INCORPORATION AS A LEGAL NOT-FOR PROFIT ENTITY are simply "donations" made to a business running a scam.

So I will "give it a rest" when they can provide a link to their incorporation papers or provide some proof that they do indeed have 501c6 status. You pro-ECA thugs who wave the flags and attack anyone who has questions really need to use your brains and realize that if the ECA wants to win public approval, the tactics they're using so far, and the tactics their shills are using are quite counter-productive at this point.

Ok, thank you for that information, I will give them a call real quick and post the official word from their offices, and hopefully be able to help you build further public trust by being able to verify your claims that you are indeed a registered corporation.

Oh and by the way, tell your lackeys and thugs to choke on a **** and die before they ruin your reputation.

I have just requested a copy of the filling or a link for you to verify .....as soon as i have it ....this "thug" will post it

Thanks! The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Corporate Division had no record of the ECA but transferred me to the Office of Tax and Revenue who should be able to verify it, just have to wait until the 15 minute queue decides it's my turn. :)

EDIT: I meant NJOY when I said Janty. Jack Leadbeater, who is the CEO of NJOY, is also the Chairman of the ECA.

Well after 40 minutes on the phone and nothing but elevator music, I'm afraid I've got to get some sleep because I'm working a double tonight. And I've got no long distance plan so it costs me $.25 a minute so that was a $12.00 phone call for nothing. :D So hopefully you guys will be able to post a link so I can avoid doing this all over again tomorrow. :D

Boston George, don't you find it a bit irritating that you're backing an organization that is chaired by the CEO of NJOY? The same NJOY whom most reputable suppliers here gripe about they sell overpriced gargabe at the mall kiosks and show no signs of caring one bit about integrity and ethics. That's gotta irk you a little bit knowing that you're paying his legal bills. Why not just stay under the radar as a small scale supplier and let the big barking dogs pay for their own mistakes? We wouldn't have all this attention if it wasn't for those idiots. So wny not let them defend themselves with the huge profits they make? That's what I don't get. Jack wanted all the attention, so why are you footing the bill for the spotlight he ordered?

No ECA money is gong toward a lawyer. Currently all funds are for lobbying the next roll out is going to be PR. No one is funding any one company's private agenda. We are not responsible for their product performance or customer service. Just their marketing claims and other regulations set out by the ECA. A fair and ongoing market place (that the ECA is trying to protect) would through evolution force additional standards onto suppliers by the consumers as market share became more competitive.

As I have said before, when I initially went to make a donation on the ECA site, I was discouraged at the list of founders and board members...However, who else really has a concerted interest great enough to make them spend the amount of time, energy and money required for the task at hand? I would also say that the tit for tat comments in this and other threads are not attracting any new supporters and are just a little disturbing.

I never said not to respond...I was just staing that the tone and content of some responses were not necesarily beneficial to the orginizations integrity...Not to sound like an authority or anything but I have written by laws for 501c orgs and sat on boards and founded more than one charitable org...The 3 Gs of board membership are GET, GIVE or GET OUT...Now I have no experience with a 501c6 org and am not sure exactly what the differences are but it appears that the soul purpose of yours is to change the stigma associated with ecigs and support the ongoing "cause "...Im not sure that the best way to publicly present youself would be to align your board with people that stand to loose or gain large amounts of money from the results of your good deeds...I am not trying to flame you or your org in any way, I guess I am just thinking aloud...I hope the ECA is successful and continues to grow.

Babachoo you have no evidence to any of your claims will you just give it a rest. Obviously we all want to see more of what the ECA is going to do, but your crusade against them is juvenile and pathetic.

The only claim I made in this thread was that Jack Leadbeater was the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the ECA, but that's well known fact. I did however ask a question, for them to make public a link to their filing so we can verify their 501c6 status before donating. How is it juvenile to ignore twits like you and focus on the fact that people who have donated have no proof that the ECA has even been accepted as a not-for profit org yet. They still haven't posted a link, so people are still at extreme risk to donate to an organization which cannot prove its claims as a 501c6. But no need to worry, I'm sure they're working on getting a link and it should be posted soon enough. :)
