What would you like to see in the Provari V2 ?

If I understand it well a Provari v2 will have to deal with this:

--snipped-- or am I wrong?

I'm not up on all the history but perhaps the ProVari is excluded.

FYI the Buzz uses a LINEAR regulator , a LR drops voltage across it to get the desired voltage output , they are not the most efficient regulator .
The Provari uses a BOOST regulator , they increase voltage from the battery but switching it on/off and increasing the voltage that way , they are more efficient than a linear regulator .

Our NEW TECH will be a variation on this , it will be as or more efficient that a boost reg. but not require High Drain batteries it will use regular batteries , there will be arguments about what is better...

The patent application also includes variable voltage devices that use a "buck-boost type voltage regulator" so I think it would.

Yeah, but I'm saying it seems the patent applicant is including something he acknowledges was on the ProVari first. He also included a display window, which I don't think his device included, either.

I'm no attorney. Just thinking out loud.

Good idea. The ProVari is fantastic as is but here are some things I'd like to see in a new version:

1. Mini size or lightweight version
2. Capability to have LED's in the bottom cap so I could get like a skull one with red eyes that lit up when you vaped (I think this would become very popular!)
3. A different way to activate the menu so I can dry burn atties using the pulse method
4. Option for display to show Wattage instead of Voltage

That's all for now

Yeah, I also ran into this issue when trying to do dry burns with my ProVari, however I quickly realized that this is why they make eGo's. :D

hmmm how about make it less user friendly...

so when the other of the 2 (3) existing "smart pv's" says theirs is the most user-friendly, easiest and best to use,
we can say "No; the Vari is the most user-friendly" of the smart pv's. We'd be wrong but we could still say it...

in other words, i just love my Vari... and because it's the easiest to use, i got 2 of 'em.

However it does not cover devices using PWM (pulse width modulation) to control the effective voltage at the atomizer, only devices using a potentiometer. The ProVari uses PWM.

Pots are so 20th century.:p

All I want for Ramahannakwanzmas is a juice feeder. Use a micropump, a temp sensor mounted above the atomizer element to trigger the pump to deliver more juice. Probably a separate battery power supply, which would add mass, but with the same exemplary level of workmanship that makes ProVari stand out. Bonus points for using an adapter that would screw into the 510 connection on top of the unit, both to mount the feeder and to signal when to read the output of the temp sensor by checking for voltage at the PV. One tiny little microcontroller would do all of it, and you've demonstrated your ability to write tight, reliable code.

I would have to agree with Digs' #4. Option for Display in watts or volts would be very useful.

If you could add a pass through, that would make better.

Maybe an auto toggle menu for the variable voltage counting up or down while the button is pushed, and being able to activate the atomizer at the same time. Once at the desired auto toggled voltage, just release the button to set the current volt or power. This way the end user can just vape until the desired sweetspot is found. Most probably would not be able to take that long of a drag to make it through the full variable volts, but maybe on the next drag it will just pick up where you left off. If you reach the desired volts, maybe a double click or push of the button will set it. Just a thought...
