I've had a Janty Stick for a few weeks now and love it. I was a little skeptical because of all the bad reviews but I've been very happy with it.

If you already have 510 attys you can get the adapter for the JS. Great vapor with great battery life. The longest I've gotten on a fully charged battery is just under 7 hours. Plus it's tiny and compact. Fits great in your hand for stealth vaping. Oh, and the built in passthrough is great when working at the CPU.

You can get one for 80 minus shipping.

I have kind of the same question...I have a 510 and it's great but want something smaller and a bit lighter (I know there are threads on the M401, blu, etc. but I still can't decide). Anybody know about the sidesho?

someone did a compairison of the sidesho to the 510 and they said they liked the sideshow better. I dont remember where the link is unfortunately. Im sure someone can find it and post it. I have a 510 and an 801 and of course the first one I got which is a SE gold. I love the 510 but I will say some flavors taste a lot better on the 801 like the RY4 from heaven-gifts.com on the 510 I cant taste the caramel but put it in the 801 and wow the taste is completely different. Soo much better. if you are wanting something different to compliment the 510 I would say try the 801.

I havent tried a mod so I cant comment on that.

So, I'm still a relative newb. Been vaping on the 510 and enjoying it--I don't really smoke analogs anymore unless I'm at a bar.

I'm wondering what model e-cig is a step up from the 510. Maybe something that doesn't require as much maintenance and gives better performance. The 510 works for more OK, but it seems like the perforance is going way down as it doesn't hit as well anymore even with the battery charged and the atty cleaned.--I don't know if I need to get new attys or if my batteries are not charging fully anymore.

I don't mind spending around $70 on something if it is a noticeable improvement. So, recommendations please!! ;)

Unless you want to get a larger mod that uses higher volt batteries, the 510 is the best mini/cig style.

The key is to have a USB passthrough for when you aren't away from a power source. I use my Passthrough at home and in the car, so I rarely use the regular batteries anymore, unless I'm in a bar. Then I bring 3 freshly charged batteries and my PCC to rotate them throughout the evening.

Reduced performance probably means that your atty is clogged or your filler needs to be rinsed out. Also, a very easy cart mod has just been posted - The spring/straw plug mod. That greatly reduces refills! Check out the "Everything You Wanted to Know link in my siggy below for more info on the care and use of 510's.

KR808's are less hassle, if you don't want to refill & use cartomizers, but they are more expensive and I hear the vapor production isn't as good as the 510. If you're going to refill the carts, they aren't anymore less hassle than the 510, IMO.

Why do you want something SMALLER? That will decrease the overall performance. Most people "upgrade" from those devices you mentioned? But, it can't hurt to try it - if it works for you, anything is better than analogs! :)

Fresh attys and batts can get expensive, but if you're on a PC or laptop for several hours a day, you may want to look into a pass through and keep your batts for when you're out and about.
Agreed!!

I'll probably get something bigger too, but not really worried about that choice, there seem to be plenty of solid big battery mods (Chuck, SB, etc.) out there...might just make one myself to save a few bucks and have some fun. BUT, I also want something that looks more like an analog, maybe get an auto battery...I've smoked an analog here and there since I've been vaping (about 2-3 weeks) but I want one most when I'm out, after a few beverages...just need the cigarette feel a bit more.

Hey guys, and hello from me. New member here  .
I'm really sorry to post in this thread, but somehow I cannot make my own (maybe due to the fact that I still haven't made any posts here). I have been reading this forum for over a month now, and it gave me so much information about these wonderful little devices, that I couldn't find anywhere else. I should thank you. Yesterday my Joye 510 arrived from Health Cabin, and firstly I was REALLY impressed by how realistic the smoking through this thing is. But what had me really worried is the fact that when I draw from the e-cig, my baterry light just stays on for 1 second, then stops, therefore shutting down the atomizer too. I first thought 'hell, the battery is not good' , unscrewed it from the atty and tried sucking through it so see what amount of pressure it needs to stay on. Well, the pressure needed to keep it going was like nothing. I mean it was really working good, but when I screwed it back to the atty, the problem was still there. My 510 atty comes with 2 air holes, and the battery has 4 holes on the threading so that air comes in. I firstly thought that it has something to do with those 4 holes, therefore letting too much air getting in and thus lowering the air pressure that I needed. I tried covering 2 holes with a finger while taking a drag, but the problem remained. I tried even covering 3 of the 4 holes, but the problem was still there 8-o . This got me a little bit shocked, so I started thinking... Then I thought the 2 little holes on the atty are the problem, so I covered one of them with duck tape, but this didn't help either. I even tried covering one of the 2 holes completely, and the other partially, but this didn't help at all. Then I thought 'maybe because they are small, they don't let too much air to get in' . So I made them a little bit larger. This didn't help too 8-o . I'm so confused now guys, it's just like the pressure dissapears at the very 0.25 second I start to take a drag. What can be causing this problem? PLEASE help, because trying to search an answer through the search engine didn't help too.

P.S. SORRY again to ask you in this thread, but right now I don't have an option in opening my own.

Scanned but didn't read the replies thoroughly so if this has been mentioned before forgive me.

I'd suggest a 510 with a big battery mod like the Chuck, SilverBullet, etc. I'm a fan of the Chuck myself at 3.7 volts it performs like a 5 volt mod (the sweet spot) and with the right battery lasts me--a heavy vaper-- 2 full days on a charge and my wife--a moderate vaper-- 4 days per charge.

The only thing that can get better than that would be not having to refill the cart. Carlos49 on the nu-vapor forum has a mod called the Juice Box that has a homemade atty, same battery as the Chuck, and a 10ml bottle that pumps juice right onto the atomizer for vaping. His atomizers have yet to fail after 6 months so you get:

an atty that lasts
at least a day of battery life per charge
10ml of juice worth of vaping

There are a lot more facets to the mod but if you're looking to improve the 510 experience I suggest a Chuck, if you are looking to get away from a 510 to a whole new experience I suggest a Juice Box. Mine's in the mail, I'll post a review as soon as it gets here hehe.

Sounds like you got an auto battery, (manual is the better choice), and it sounds like it's defective or that you've gotten juice in the switch (manuals are sealed so that doesn't happen). You could try drying out the battery with a hair dryer (not on hot or high). Messing with the intakes is not the solution. Also take a look at this:

I'm all about the Prodigy myself. 510 @ 5v with the Prodigy is about the best combination I've ever come across. Highly recommended... at least until someone introduces a better atomizer.

I totally agree with your findings. I've used every type of atomizer - and every variant / brand of each type - at every voltage, and nothing beats a 510 at 5 volts for me. I only wish I'd realized this before I'd ordered 50 801 attys. ;-)

Now, if someone can produce an atty that hits like a 510 but has the capacity of an 801, I'll have nothing else to complain about. Well, maybe. :p
