That sounds good to me but I don't think hubby will go for it. He says he's not picky but...pffft. Yeah, he is so!!:p He'll waste an inch of steak to cut off a micorscopic piece of fat!! So no ribeye! Only pork loin chops w/o the bone. No breading or flour so of course it pops and spits like an SOB when browning it!!! We love country pork ribs (bone out) but with him being so picky about fat by the time I cut it all out I have to buy like 5 pounds worth so I have something left to cook!!! He only likes steak bbq'd and won't bbq if it's too cold, too windy, too damp, etc. Gee...working swing shift I'm glad I only really have to cook on the weekends!!!:D

Sunflower chocolate peeps cake!

peepscake.jpg

I have got to get to the store for some peeps tomorrow! I hope they aren't all gone.
This cake is just a chocolate cake rimmed with yellow peeps and the top is chocolate chips in a circular pattern...cool right! I wish I had seen this before I went to the store sat.!

Did you find peeps MK? That cake is adorable!!! I really hate peeps... but would sure put them on to make such a cute cake... then just pick them off! :D

We visited the farmers market this morning- their first outdoor day this spring. Bought fresh pork chops, garlic focatta (sp?) bread, and some asparagus. I'm going to something simple with the asparagus, probably grill it as I LOVE to grill things. Also had to pick up some goat cheese, eggs and a few more things then I had planned they just looked sooo good!

We are watching Avitar on DVD tonight. So tonights dinner is a junk night. Hot dogs on buns with dressings of our choice, chili, sauerkraut, cheese, pickles and whatever else we have. Can you say heartburn?:p
Oh to top it off we have milk shakes! Mine is made with no sugar added ice cream and sugarfree chocolate syrup.
For dessert..some wonderful strawberry shortcake! Strawberries are in season right now. I have some jumbo sliced strawberries in a sugar free strawberry glaze. I use them to top some diced pound cake and top it with whip cream (coolwhip like Publix brand is very low sugar.) :D

Last night we had leftover beef stew and tonight we had leftover chicken and dumplings. Both of which were made 2 weeks ago and frozen! Now I have to cook again so I can have more leftovers! My Grandson made us eat the leftover spaghetti..he loves that stuff.
I got slammed into a doorjam by my overexcited german shepard, I wish Mike wouldn't say the word "ride" as I am coming in the house! That dog acts like she won the lottery when he says that word! As a result my arm went numb. Two days later my fingers are still tingley (right arm..no H.A.!)

Thats the kind of thing that just cry out..leftovers ..so I don't have to cook!

Little miss Ella wants to try asian Shrimp rolls- so it's time to go consult the recipe books. She's been obsessed with Asian culture since February. She even "told" me we're going to China after we do Germany. I told her we might visit, but since there's not a Base out there for Dad to work at we won't be moving there any time soon. Such a silly goose.

hey mk, doing it again...hehehe

top sirloin, the real good stuff. and ruined by cutting into 1/4" cubes
salt, pepper, a big handful of celontro<SP>chopped alot, 2 limes abused into, half white onion chopped fine, 1 and 1/2 serentos chopped fine, lotso garlic, then more garlic, one can diced green chilies dont drain, use the juice too, 1/4 cup leane and perrins<again with the smelling> <i mean spelling> 1 10 oz bag doritos really abused to a powder almost...
in a ziploc for 2-4hours in refer...
(ha) new saute pan i just got from ikea hehe with 3 cans of water (the diced green chilies can) 1 at a time...ie: when all the water goes away, put 1 more, do it at least 3 times, the last water goes away i use a limon infused basalmic vingar to break up any of the good stuff on pan and 1 table spoon of flour to make sticky if the doritos are doing the job...
put in a pan fired corn tortilla...
yes, i dont really know what i am doing, but it was real good....and i watch "good eats"

That sounds good Box! My hubby would love it! My stomach is getting heartburn just thinking of it!
I don't see how you can ruin steak by just adding things to it? I saute onions and mushrooms then add cubed serloin season and tip out of the pan. What's left is the the juice and some burned stuff..some red wine on a lower heat gets it all and is read to be poured over the steak mushroom and onions on white rice.
Corn or aparagus with cheese and it's a meal.
