yes u guys are all right. but if you loved si as much as you say you do. wouldn't you rather purchase a mod, carto tank etc from si opposed to buyin those same products that atleast 80% of us will eventually graduate to with another company??? I know they are trying to please future customers with products that are easier to use. but all of the people that purchased those same great products from si in the past have for the most part moved on to bigger and better things? smokeless image can still have their simple easy to use and amazing starter kits but also have a section on the website for more experienced vapers.now you can all stop acting like I'm demanding them to do so. I'm only here to give a thought, a suggestion that really doesn't mean much but is substantial enough to be considered. I'm sure they thought about this before. but the way I see it, the e cig business is moving at lightning speed.smokeless image for the time being is perfect for beginners to intermediate vapers. I'm just saying once again and like I said twice before. that I (just as much you si fans) would like to stick with smokeless image for my vaping needs but it's not possible when it stops at a volt spinner.butttt. I can't complain too much. I'll deal with it. I have no other options.

I dunno about that 80% going to other companys after leaving noobism behind, but I catch your meaning. However, SI has always seemed to keep the interest of their clientel by offering the products that compete with those same companies. They keep the customers with pricing and cs. I completely understand what you are saying though....you want SI to be competitive in all aspects of the Vaping world so that you can stay with one company/supplier. Brand loyalty is nothing to be sneezed at. We love SI and want them to grow and keep us happy.....you never know, they could start an offshoot company that does just the higher end stuff and mods so as not to confuse the new vapers out there. Anything can happen!:smokie:

I kinda wish I had discovered SI first. I went with V2 as my starter kit. Worked great and got me off of analogs over a month ago with no thought of going back. But of course as I started researching other options I see there is a much bigger world out there. Initially I thought a cigalike with a carto would be just fine for me. No desire for anything else. Then I discovered clearos and liquid. This lead me to the desire to have a bigger battery so I would not have to carry two or three cigalikes to make it through my whole day. Now I have an X2 and love it. Next step may be a basic mod but only for the ability to change the batteries. My biggest desire from the onset of this venture was to keep it simple and not turn one expensive and unhealthy habit into another expensive, albeit healthier one. I believe for now I have found my sweet spot. An X2 with clearos and a few cigalikes for back u just in case. SI has made it simple and keeps it simple. Maybe some day they will make a simple mod like the V4L OMG kit. If they do I may consider it. Until then my only future purchase will need to be juice and clearos.

Right there with you Garemlin, literally. Went with V2 originally as well, then found SI. Luckily, the V2 batts (as well as a good majority of the cartos I'd gotten) went to a buddy of mine. Its nice to be able to use (for the most part) interchangeable delivery systems (cartos and ce3s) between the two of us, and he's been off the stinkies since I gave him the cig-alike batts.

The only thing I could see myself wanting from SI that they don't offer would be some manner of glass/pyrex tank (for those juices that like to eat tanks) Anything else, and I think they have me covered.

I was so close to being there with you guys. I watched a few youtube video's and was gona go check prices on a V2 kit. I went to google to search for "v2 e cig" but for some reason i typed "x2 e cig" and ended up at smokeless image. I guess that ended up being a good mistake.

Aug will mark my 2 years of SI gear. Tried a few other things, but haven't noticed much difference. Though it's nice having a VV spinner. I'm pretty happy w/the 78s and a C3.

That said, maybe an Smokeless Image II in the future for more advanced stuff for loyal SI fans...just a thought :)

I've been vaping for two years. Like some earlier posters, I started with V2, and came to SI in search of good quality cartos. Found that!
Then I discovered that they had decently-priced, regulated batteries. With a warranty. That they actually honored.
I have X2's and 78's, cartos, clearos, and some CE3's. This works fantastically well for me. The next time I have some money that I don't have plans for, I'll get a Spinner.
I'm not going anywhere. No one else has anything I need/want, at this time. (Except I'd like another one of these fantastic Xxx lanyards that fit the X2 so well:D)

I love smokeless image don't get me wrong. I didn't start this thread to to bash on them. but now that I have read all the comments from all the volties I feel as if some( not all) are going a little bit too far.imo people that join the forums are either interested in getting new products and or are here to learn all there is to know about vaping. smokeless image products are so easy to use, u don't need to join the forums to learn about them. with that being said I think some of you people might not be saying all that needs to be said about what you actually prefer to vape on a daily basis. btw the three packs of ce3s that I bought sucked so bad. four out of fifteen lasted me about a week. the other ones lasted me 1 to three days.

si customer service is the best hands down
their cig-a-like batteries are my favorite.
their cartos are awesome.
desert joe and their 555 are two of my most enjoyable e liquids.
x2s?? ehhh

everything else is whatevs

I consider myself not only a customer, but a fan [read fanatic], of SI. If they went full on MODs, I would definitely try.. Then again, I started DIY on juices [love it], and have been building my own PCs for over 20 years. I'm a bit OCD, and have 9 PCs in my house in use.

However, SI is first and foremost a business. The majority of potential customers are smokers who wish they could quit. A smaller pool is the active ecig users. Within that are the experienced users... Within that, are the one's who are looking for more advanced functionality. Their business model seems to be targeted at the broadest audience to maximize the customer base. For every advanced user they "lose", the goal is to make up for it with 10 new customers.

There are many vapers out there who have been using ecigs a while, and are perfectly happy with what they have. I would go so far as to say they are perfectly satisfied. Given this is an internet support forum, there is a higher tendency for the more "advanced" users here than the overall population.

In real life I know quite a few vapers, who still use the disposables, and have been for a long time. I let them know about SI since I know they would be happier with better performance ... most just want to keep using what they have, and I try not to rock the boat.

There are quite a few SI customers who have added 510 threaded devices and more advanced mods to their collection who will continue to buy SI products.

I just love those little auto volts with nano's and I'm looking forward to the "soon to be released" auto Volt spinner.

Their present juice lineup is great especially SI's RY4. There is an ECF thread dedicated to reviewing RY4 from different juice vendors and SI's RY4 is considered #1 and it's my everyday favorite. The new Nicquids juice lineup is another great addition.

SI is the best at what they do by providing great products and they slowly add new products after they go through their rigorous testing phase.

Yes there are those of us who may branch out to include more advanced equipment but will always remain SI customers too. :)

same here. I love their ry4 but I bought seven packs of pre filled ry4 cartos and got a little tired of it. I love halos tribeca too but smokeless images ry4 beats it by a slim margin

but why lose a customer at all?

I will take your question literally. My point was that by offering more selection to retain 1 user, they may lose 10 potential new customers. While not meant to be taken literally, I would definitely say I recommend SI to new vapers. While I might consider shopping at certain other vendors for their stock, I would not recommend these big stores to new vapers. It could get overwhelming and discouraging very quickly.

As a business, certain volume must be achieved for each item to be profitable. Some merchants take a mall approach, attempting to be all things to all people. This can work, but has its risks. SI runs their business choosing to limit their inventory to what they presently have. While they seem to be open to adding items, they are taking a methodical approach, and doing so carefully. They also have a reputation for quality.

As a business person, I can argue business models, there are pros and cons to their approach. However, as a customer, I am very satisfied with their quality control, and their selection.

This is why I went with SI to begin with. I knew everything would work with everything else (before the T3's showed up anyway). All of the other vaping sites I visited were far too confusing and had so many terms I didn't understand I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to get.

That being said, I've had enough time to figure things out and have moved on, but I wouldn't have been able to without SI's brilliant beginner-vaper setup. I might have moved on to mods, but my X2 batts will be my backups for some time to come.
