oh look, a provari thread.
The provari is a magical device forged in the fires of mt wanahakalugi. It wakes up early every morning, cooks you breakfast, walks the dog and fills your tank. Its superior volts taste better than all other volts, and can even make crab juice good. If need be it can be used as a wheel chock, hammer, or baseball.

however, there's a reason I sold mine ;)

Wow, you make an obvious observation about some SERIOUS flirting going on, and you get blamed for the nuclear wasteland that follows. That's what's weird about forums. You think everyone is on the same page, yuk, yuk, yuk, and then someone reads your posts in the mood THEY'RE in, and you get scolded. Oh well.....

I know I never said anything like this.....Well, before I owned, one I may have sarcastically mentioned something about unicorn tears... But truth be told, The ProVari doesn't do anything that any other VV/VW mod does. In fact, it does less than many do.

However, it simply does what it does better.

There is not a more accurate Variable Voltage or Variable Wattage Mod available at it's price point or below.
There is not a better built Variable Voltage or Wattage Mod available at it's price point or below.
Add to that, one of the best warranties in the industry and the after warranty support and you have a compelling package at what has become a mid level priced device.

If these are things that appeal to you, then buy one. If you feel that it is overpriced, then don't.

Personally I think that it's priced well for an at home device, but a bit much for something I would take out and about. That's why I have my ProVari tucked safe away at home and I let my MVP's do the heavy lifting while out and about.

And since all my ProVari use is limited to inside my home, I guess the only people I am trying to "impress" are my cats.....And boy are they impressed.....

I kind of like it. That is reason #7 that I like talking to you.

this is one argument that I never got. The provari isn't rare or exclusive, nor is it particularly expensive. I would be more impressed by, say an EL3V8TOR or a Mamu box, or maybe an authentic low serial Nemesis than a provari. Actually there is a guy in my town with a real nemmy and I admit I've done some drooling.

edit: also, i'm rarely impressed by peoples ability to open their wallets. Show me something unique, something no one else has. I'll tell you one thing, my quad coil steam turbine gets people talking

I don't want something unique. I want something that I wont break that also is adjustable.

you do realize i'm shooting down an argument against the provari right now right?
edit: that's also just one of the reasons i'm all mechanical these days. mechs don't break.

Thank you for sharing. This is kind of funny, but one of our members has a ProVari called Sirius...
Anyway, I've never paid more than $35 for my mechs, and most are closer to $20. If you are going to buy clones, buy from the source!

Oh yeah I have PoM -- but waiting for Fasttechs slow boat from China pisses me off..lol ;)

They don't? Here is the switch of a Atmomixani 69 Mod after a battery incident:

hehehe. yeah, that's why I sold mine. All was great till I came home and found my old lady cheating on my with my provari

They mechs themselves may not break, but I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) that it is easier to "break" a battery or a coil when using a mech, than with a regulated device.

yes, you are right. subohming can stress the batteries, though not nearly as bad as some say. for example, I had a set of .32 quads in a cloud competition and they barely stressed the battery. going by full change and factoring zero voltage drop, it came out to 13 amp. realistically, it pulled 10-11 max. that's nothing on a 30 amp battery. But... its not for everyone.
And if I blow a coil, I just build another. my most expensive coil so far cost maybe 60 cents. most cost about 10. and straight dc is easier on a coil than pulsing current, a la 33.3 chips

sounds like a battery issue (or probably an idiot issue). The same vent would have ruined a provari too. The idea is to keep your batteries from venting

Efest has a newer 35 amp battery in 18650. I suggest you get a couple of those for sub ohms
