Well, I made an executive decision today. I'm down to between a cord and a cord and a half of wood which should get me to the middle of March. I also checked my oil usage at a quarter of a tank used since before Thanksgiving. The price of oil is down to around $2.25.

I gave it a bit of thought and decided to try to get the oil used down to less than a quarter tank left and fill it up in case the price isn't as advantageous next season. With at least 6 weeks more of cold weather and a few more weeks of needing some amount of heat, I think it's time to think ahead. I shouldn't need to cut up much more for next season and I'll be working on getting ready for the 2016 winter. There's a lot of downed trees on the Boy Scout grounds around me and my deal with them is half for the boys and half for me. Not a bad deal for "free firewood".

i've still got that free firewood for you in the front yard. it might take a crane to get to it though :)

Got an email from northerner this morning asking for a photo of the wrong item and my invoice. Only took 4 and a half days. They said they have had a lot of email traffic. Gee, I wonder why? [emoji35]

that sounds familiar.

Gutter! Nice to see you're still kicking. I think the transportation cost of moving that wood would make buying retail locally a bargain and that's not even considering the crane cost. :)

Whatcha been up to? Is you're new work center completed?

i'm sure. not to mention the whole "turning it into fireplace size pieces" part of the equation. one of these days, someone will fall for it :)

almost done - i've been working half days out there and half days doing electronics for the last week or so.rafter tails are boxed in,i bought ceiling lights yesterday, windows will go in when the weather gets up in the 50's again and sheeting is going on the walls. i'm hoping to be in before the spring rush hits. still trying to figure out the flooring and workstation lighting situation though.i'd like to not have to redo either of those for a good long while and they're gonna see the worst abuse.i may just do vinyl on the floor so that replacing it will be easier but, of course, it looks terrible.
i dunno, need to make up my mind on some things i guess.

hows things up your way? staying warm i hope?
