Pretty quiet around here the last couple of days. Finally got my order from Northerner. Everything accounted for and correct. Took forever but after seeing the shipping times for you guys I wasn't surprised.

Also received my Cloupor T8 and other goodies from Quick Nic. I must say that this thing is pretty awesome. I was never into cloud blowing, more after flavor and TH, but this thing will rock when needed. Especially with my Tobh running a 0.5ohm dual coil. I'm having fun tinkering with it and the dual batteries last a long time between recharges. Overall I am very happy with it.

Time to get out the thermal underwear. This weekend is going to be brutal in my neck of the woods. Stay warm my friends!

I have yet to try sub ohm vaping. I've been thinking about getting a sigelei 30w and an atlantis or something just to say I've tried it. I'm not sure what the amp rating is on the AW batteries that I have. They are the 18650 imr 2000mah ones. I need to do some reading before I try it.

It's definitely different Hitt. I'm a big fan of flavor over vapor, but I was getting both using this set up. I doubt it'll replace my everyday set up. Dripping is a pain in the ..... I've heard great things about the Kangar subtank and it's replaceable coils. Those 50w Isticks would do everything you want and are reasonably priced.

Yeah, sub ohming is cool. I picked up a Coil Master and couldn't wait to try it. I had a new 22awg coil in seconds. The only issue was that I didn't count my turns and ended up with a .38 coil which was half of what I normally wrap.

My buddy had gone to .15 so I felt okay with it, especially with the thick wire. It's a nice change. A bit more flavor and not an obnoxious cloud. I can hit it faster and the body stays cooler than the .75 I normally build.

I'm a light weight as far as using it. I'm far from a constant hitter these days so the battery hills up well for me.

Hitt, you'll probably need different batteries. I think mine are Panasonic (they're green 18650s) and I wouldn't think of using my old one in my Mech mods.

As far as the dripping, using virgin cotton, I get plenty of hits before I need to reload.

It went to very cold last night. Around 10 with wind that makes it feel like sub zero. We got about three inches if snow and I only got the drive cleared out before it was time to come in and warm up. I figure I'll clear out the parking area tomorrow and just enjoy the warmth from the fireplace.

I hear ya, we had a low of -19 last night with a -32 windchill. At least we hit +1 today!

Which made it a fantastic time for our furnace to crap out. Thankfully it crapped in the best way possible, it just refused to shut off when the house got to temperature. I was up all night modulating the gas/electric to keep the house warm but not on fire. Called the HVAC place and the tech figured out it was an ancient spring loaded timing mechanism that the spring slipped the track and unwound. $115 service call later everything is back to normal.

Waho, that is ungodly cold. I know I wouldn't have gotten my 100 yd drive cleared in one sweep at that temp, at least not wearing what I had on.

I baked some Roda Lacket today. Found that I ordered LOS instead of portions. So far so good and LOS does have better flavor. I'm just not sure I'd snus it other than at home unless I was carrying a toothbrush and paste. Not sure how it will be taking out. :?:

It was pretty lucky, but it got it's revenge when power went out around 1am and came back on a half hour ago.

Got up around 9am and it was 46 in the house, -10 outside with -18 wind chill. Suffered it out a few hours until the power company changed the power restoration estimate from 11am to 6pm. Had to drive 60 miles to find a generator large enough to run the furnace and random water pumps. By the time it was up and running it was 42 indoors.

    Any time now spring!

Yikes! How many watts of power did you need. In case you didn't know, welders have generator power too. A few years ago we had a bad ice storm and sold a truckload of welders that people bought to use as generators for their houses. Those were 11000 watt units.

Never thought to use a welder as a generator, but it makes sense now that you say it. Had an old Lincoln diesel welder at the excavation company I worked for briefly, fixed buckets/tracks on the job site now and then. My welds aren't pretty, but they'll hold, haha.

Bought a smallish 3250 watt, just enough to run the furnace, well, sump, sewage and fridge/kitchen lights. Enough to keep us warm during the winter and not flooded during the summer. Would have went with a larger one like my Mom has (10k watt), but my house has the hookups for a natural gas standby generator that I'd love to get in the future. The previous homeowners had one but took it with them.

The smallest ones we sell have 6000 watt output. If that's enough to do what you need then you probably got it cheaper than what welders sell for. I got an email today that prices are going up next month. I remember when they sold for about half what they do now.

I'd imagine so, all in mine was well under $500, that includes the diy 25ft power cable (40 bucks each for 30amp 4 prong 240V twistlock plugs!).

I Wish I could afford a welder for random home projects. I have to take things to a friends house currently. I mainly arc weld, but he's got a MIG and plasma cutter that are fun to play with.
