There are actually two stores in the little Podunk town near where I grew up. Each one at either end of the golden half mile. I couldn't believe it when I found the second one. Even better, their regular price is only $2.27, a $1.10 cheaper than the store I had been stopping at. Once I run out of coupons, I'll go that extra half mile and load up until I can't get anymore. With tax at regular price I'll only be paying $2.41. It would take a really good sale to beat that.

FC's only remaining grandparent passed away today. She posted on FB. Meanwhile I spent the day in the hospital with my uncle. I stopped in to see him and the moment I looked at him I knew he wasn't doing well. If he hadn't had an appointment set up to go to his family doc, I'd have suggested we go to the ER. Of course that's where we ended up anyway.

He's got the same issues he had 6 months ago, kidney failure and Leukemia cells in his blood. After the last trip to the hospital he wasn't willing to go to the hematologist so here we are. In addition they were worried about his appendix. Hopefully they can get everything under control. He's not used to not being able to get around.

I stopped at the same place as before and picked up another five cans of mint for 1.99 each. Usually when I stop there, they have to go in the back to the cooler to get a five pack of snus. This time the gal pulled them out of a drawer beside the snus fridge. I hope they were just getting ready to restock since the fridge was empty of mint but who knows how long it was in that drawer.

Sure, rub it in Hitt. Here in Michigan it's been back and forth. No snow lately, some rain, some sun. Days are mostly near or in the 50s, but still getting down into the 30s at night. We're creeping towards spring, but not fast enough for sure.

Leaving to go back to Taiwan next Friday to visit some suppliers and mess up my sleeping again. I think this will be my last trip out of the country for a while. I use to enjoy seeing different countries and experiencing different cultures, but I just don't like the travel anymore. Too hard on the family and the body. Senoir engineer in our department so I get the choice and I think I'll pass it on to one of the minions. :)

I don't blame you rebel. I've had a couple job offers over the years that would have involved travel and I turned them down. I just felt that it was more important for me to be around for the kids. I think it has paid off. Both of the girls are pulling all A's and do several activities including volunteer work. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with my wife staying home with them the past several years but I'd like to take a little bit of the credit.

FC, I don't know how you deal with that weather. I'm not sure how long I want to deal with this weather and we're only a fraction of what you guys get. Hitt, can't believe you're in mowing season already. Going South or West or Southwest sounds better and better all the time.

In the meantime, I'm in the grips of the ancients. I was wrong about my uncle not seeing the oncologist, he was seeing him. He just doesn't seem to understand what he's been told. He has an appointment the two Wednesday's from now so I should have a better understanding of how far the disease has developed.

He's at the same location as my mom for a rehab stay. Hopefully he'll be out in the next three weeks. He's certainly doing much better than last Friday and I'd like to see him get as much freedom as possible while he still can but the clock is ticking.

Vapenstein, I haven't tried that one. How about a mini review?

Very similar to GH Kendal Dark. Everyone says sandalwood, but I get cedar. So a cedar scented dark fermented tobacco with a medium-coarse flour. It's one of my favorites, satisfying and very easy to use all day. Right up there with GH Kendal Dark, SG Elmo's Reserve and SG Black Coffee for me.

Those are a few more I haven't tried. At my height of snuff use I was into a lot of mentholated snuffs. I still have a bunch but haven't used any for over a year. I was a steady user for a year or so and it dropped off to none. I still snus and vape.
