I'm going only to support Mike. He supported me at Nationals last year, and is generally a decent guy. Ya, I didn't feel too bad about screamer guy losing his job and not being able to afford to go. Gee, wonder why he lost his job...temper control issues?

I've been doing shorter runs but more frequently. I just can't run that far any more. I got in another mile tonight with a short weight workout. I just wasn't feeling it tonight.
All this talk about running has gotten me tired lol.

Good morning. Back to the vet this morning for the last booster shot for the puppy. This has been a little expensive. When I was a kid I don't remember ever doing this with our dogs.

So last night I was looking up asperger's on line (a diagnosis on the autism spectrum) because we pretty much know that my son has it, although we haven't had him officially diagnosed. There were two different online tests for adults to take to see if they had it, so I took the tests for fun....ummm...well...ya, apparently I'm an aspie. No REAL surprise there, as I am aware I have some of the tendencies, but I was suprised at just how high I scored on the aspie spectrum!! Sheesh.
My hubby is taking the kids to an amusement park today, (since he's moved, he's turned into a real 'disneyland dad') so I have a rare (ok, it never happens) day to myself. Shopping and cleaning, on the list. woohoo

Rogue is doing good. Today was her last puppy shots. I really need to get her signed up for a training class. She's still a bit of a struggle to walk.

Funny you talk about the cost of doggie care. My mom's dog was scheduled to be groomed today, but I had to take her in for emergency care on Thursday, so my sister wanted to make sure the groomer would still take her today. When I called, I got the voice message. The groomer said dogs had to be "up on their shots". I though, sure, they need to make sure they had their rabies vaccine, you wouldn't want a groomer getting bit. However, they listed the entire regiment of vaccines. The pharma industry has definitely gotten their way in the animal world. Which brings us to the topic of autism.
I was talking to the bar manager of my local pub on Friday, picking up the payoff for Sunday's poker tournament and autism came up. We were both talking about how prevalent it is today as opposed to years ago and I'm nearly twice as old as her. She pointed out the research on how vaccines may be leading to the increased number of autistic kids. I didn't know about the controversy, but it's been goinbg on for over a decade.

I've always been paranoid about those vaccines, its really a two sided coin as I know people who vaccines have greatly helped and know others who they haven't helped or made worse. Hope everything is alright with your son Axl.
