General mint has been an every day snus for me for a couple years now. It's quite a bit different from the thunder frosted. If you decide you don't like it then shoot me a pm and maybe we can work out a deal. If I had some frosted I'd offer it as a trade but I don't. I never really liked it. When I first started using snus there was the mini mint but they weren't making it in the regular portions yet. I ordered it when it was first released and was pretty much hooked since then.

The generals club sends me them via email as well, they also send me some via postal mail now and then too, they sent me a really nice swedish match notebook not too long ago. Hopefully the Smokin Joes near me will broaden their line of General Products.

Sandy was pretty much a dud here , little bit of rain and a little wind but no power outages or anything major.

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Well, this is my thirs post since 5PM yesterday. Perhaps it will make the board. Testing,,,,testing,,,1234

Looks like I'm live, at least on the internet. Lost power 5PM and I think it will be days before we get it back. This is going to suck. I was not really happy about FIOS because the battery backup only deals with telephone so I had no internet or TV. Then about four hours later I figured if I included the unit in the garage on my generator I'd have a chance and sure enough I'm live with both TV and Internet. I have to get the generator set up to hit my house circuits. Everything is okay except no water or heat other than one room space heating. That's fine but no water is an issue.

FC, are you getting hit now?

Good morning. Roth I'm glad you are ok. It's good that you have the generator. A few years ago we had a bad ice storm and people lost power for several days. I went over to my boss' house and put in a 220 receptacle that fed a breaker going into his panel. We shut off the main and back fed the panel with one of the welder/generators that we rent to customers. It's 11,000 watt so did a pretty good job of powering the important stuff for him.

FC, are you catching any of this storm?

Simply, it sounds like you lucked out. Congrats.

It wasn't hard. Just put in a 50 amp breaker and wired it down to a 50A receptacle with some #6 wire with 105 degree rating.

That doesn't sound too hard although all I've ever dealt with is 110 stuff and try to stay out of the panel as much as possible. I may have to look into it before the weeks out though. I feel like a scuzz already and I don't think we touched the beginning of this journey. My gravel road was covered with an assortment of tree limbs and at the top of the hill one must have come down that they cleared earlier.

Then when I got to the main (secondary) paved road, left was yellow ribboned off with three trees being held up by the utility lines. I turned right and two big trees were hanging on the lines going that way but no yellow ribbon so I figured thbe township decided that if people were going to risk their life, right was better than left. I think in ECF parlance, that's harm reduction. There were two more hanging trees after the first two, but they weren't as foreboding. Then came the sign telling people coming in that the road was closed. I thought the township guys did alright. They really should have closed the road totally, but gave us an option. Hopefully they'll get those trees worked on soon.

Roth, nice play on the harm reduction. If you've ever had the cover off of a breaker panel then you know that there are two buss bars in there that carry the two 110v legs that provide the 220v feeding your house. When you plug in a 220v breaker it pulls one leg off of each buss bar. If you use a standard range plug receptacle there are two straight blades and round one. The ground goes to the round one and the two hot legs go to the straight ones. Depending on what kind of generator you have, there might be a four prong receptacle on it. The fourth prong is the neutral. From the ones I've seen that have a four prong twist lock, the ground will have a hook coming off the blade either pointing in or out. The best thing to do is check the receptacle on the generator with a meter if you have one before hooking everything up.

On another note, does anyone pay attention to the expiration dates on their snus? I usually don't order from getsnus but had enough points built up from years past to get a free roll and went ahead and ordered when they were running free shipping. I noticed that the expiration dates were only a couple months away from when I ordered. I am pretty sure that the snus I've bought from snuscentral had the dates a lot further away.

I agree about the code. However, you have to make sure the main breaker is off whenever back feeding the panel if you do it how I mentioned. Of course if I was doing it for a customer then I'd use the switch but for myself I would know to keep the main off. The electrical contractor that wired our building at work when it was built did the same thing that I mentioned. However that was 15 years ago. I don't deal with code much any more. I think it was the 96 code that I tested to in 99. My work now is mostly troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment.

The southern part of our county got hit pretty hard in terms of trees, roofs, and lines. My district had one house fire caused by wires, and a wire down. The neighboring town was without power for quite a time. I believe they are back up now. We got nothing like roth's neighborhood did.

hitt, I think Snuscentral dates are further out than that, unless you order an unpopular snus that they don't move much of.

Good morning. FC it sounds like you weathered the storm without too much trouble. That's good.

Simply, good luck getting your order today. I placed an order for some vaping stuff on Saturday morning and am waiting to see how long it takes to get here. They are located in NJ so I'm expecting a delay.
