@rothenbj , what do you think of the forum update?
Well it sure is different. I'll need to spend some time on it to really have an opinion.

I've really become addicted to the Amazon Vines system. I'll certainly be getting a 1099 at the end of the year. lol I got both a hand held 10" chainsaw and an EGo 16" that I've been running thru the paces. That was over $350 in product in just a couple days.

I found one thing I don't like already, just posting this message, If you backspace, sometimes it eliminates the space between paragraphs but not always. Very strange.

Question about long term storage of Snus (about a year). Does it really need to go in the freezer, or does it last well in the fridge? Reason I ask, my General Mint for some reason gets ice in the container when in the freezer (nothing else does), if I thaw it then the snus is soggy, if I take out the ice, then it is very dry and hard. So I was thinking when I order again, just keeping the General Mint in the fridge, but I don't want it to go bad as I order about a years worth at the time. Thoughts?

I think if you go through it in less than a year then it should be fine in the fridge. I haven't opened mine straight out of the freezer. I usually grab a five pack and let it thaw before I start using it.

    I have a problem with frost-free models.
Seems the same process that keeps the titanic safe, also sublimates/freeze dries smaller items stored over longer times.
Smaller items fare better consolidated in a glass storage container lined with bubble wrap or other air gap material. IMO, The more insulated against the recurrent heating cycles the better.

    Cheers

Burnie, you live in Florida so any advice I give needs to be balanced against the difference of climate in PA. I wouldn't think the condition of the snus in the freezer should be any different, particularly the Mint and I've never had that issue. White portions seem to hold up very well in the freezer for me. I keep them in the box that they came in and I'll pull out what I need and close the box up again.

Any LOS I bought was trash though. It all dried up but that probably was somewhat do to the fact that I just never used much of it, The Mint I have can be years old, seriously, and I haven't really noticed any difference. Damn ECF just blew out my paragraph break on a backspace. Anyway....
The last order I placed never made it even to the refrig. That's definitely over a year old and it still is fine. However, remember, this isn't Fla. I think I got it during winter and I got lazy. I left it in the LR and it's never left. No fridge, no freezer and it's still good.

Before I bought my mini freezer, I used to just store my snus in the basement. However, I never ordered as much as you do at once.
Only reason I order so much, is the shipping cost. By placing a large order, I get it down to around $.50-$.60 a can, which is not bad. Only problem, it's a chunk of change for the order getting that much.

Well I really didn't need to order yet, but Snus Central has a sale on General Mint & Nick & Johnny Americana of 20% off rolls, and those are the main 2 I use, so I placed my large order for the year of the 4 snus I use. Ordered a total of 133 cans, shipping cost was only $.4445 per can. But if you subtract the $20 discount for an order over $250, that brings shipping down to $.2942 per can, which is not bad at all. But then the total order was $456.89, but that is for a whole years worth of snus.

Well done! That’s really good for a whole year. Sure as heck cheaper than cigarettes.

I still vape quite a bit but really buy very little since I have been doing reviews for several companies and there's almost a constant flow of incoming samples. I just have to provide my own liquids and I mix all those myself for pennies a ml.
