The mrs has been insanely sick this week - she's been in the bed since Sunday night. We took her to the doc tuesday (thinking she just had a bug ) and it seems as if something is going on with her heart. Her bp has been in stroke/ heart attack range and needless to say we've been a bit freaked out.her test results on everything won't be back until Wednesday and the meds don't seem to be doing much...
She's sleeping roughly 18 hours a day and the stress level has been through the roof ( she and my parents are all I have left in the world...)

We're watching arrested development reruns on Netflix ( hearing her giggle is a great thing) and I've got a loaf of bread in the oven at the moment.accordingly,my snus use has been through the roof this week :)

As an aside, do any of you guys/gals hang out on the e-cig forum on reddit ? Seems like they've got a lot of nice folks over there.

Gutter, that's awful. They sent her home? That's a lot of sleeping, probably good to just keep her quiet. You must be going crazy. Keep us informed. You guys will be in my prayers and I don't pray a lot.

Just got an email from my sis. It sounds like I might be in the process of becoming a great uncle again. My niece may be having her first tonight. That's great, but it will sent me to mom's tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to. Sunday's supposed to be my day of rest and I'd like to get my walk in, even though bitter cold and it snowed about six inches last night. The roads are pretty clear (except mine) and my legs are feeling pretty good so I want to abuse them again.

Hang in there Gutter.

I've got a little way to roll my snus in tea bag material like a roll your own cig and it doesn't touch the gum line nor get on my dog teeth. Big smile ...heh heh and nothing showing but don't make me laugh. I do use one on each top back side. They are kinda skinny. Still just three times a day and even if I'm using double the amount, which I am probably close to, that's only 6. Same with snuff, probably double the amount.
Of my six snuff by Toque only Lime toast and their original don't call to me but they are fine, I just like the the Spanish Gem, Ginger, Coltsfoot and Marmalaide Toast better. I'd say 1st Spanish Gem, 2nd Marmalaide Toast, 3rd Is tied ginger and Coltsfoot. Of course all that can change I know!
I have another batch, about a years supply again, coming. That was very fun! I found some mentioned here and some mentioned on SnusOn Forum. Got several that promise to keep me from using double amounts at a time. The largest item was Ginger Bread and I forget the the most expensive but maybe the Thai Yellow, no nic but calming. Bunches to try, almost like a spice cupboard ya know?

Just read posts I hadn't seen. It's amazing what they can do for hearts now a days. Wouldn't you rather have a heart attack than a stroke though? Not much they can do for strokes really, not like they can fix the heart in so many different ways. That's good. Courage to you and good luck.

Gutter, I'm really sorry to hear about your wife having problems. Try to keep being strong for her and hopefully the test results will lead to a cure for her problem. I've been thru cancer treatment with my wife and had some issues of my own at the age of 30. Sometimes the panic and fear of not knowing can get to you but you have to believe that in the end things will be ok.

kay, who did you buy from? I've always been amazed at how fasr stuff gets here from Sweden. Africa sounds like a lot of fun. We have a growing population of African natives, most from Sudan. They are pretty outgoing.

Central snus because it carried most varieties of loose which I am now rolling small roll your own style in minimum of tea bag materia to keep off gum line and put in both sides. I am sure mu order of snus and new order of many different snuffs will be here very soon now because Mr. Snuff was fast and reports here say CentralSnus is probably even faster.
I was in the Peace Corp in Central African Republic, once the Congo, now again the Congo from last reading on the subject.
Some tribes are very outgoing and aggressive and other tribes are quiet and . Like the Vietnamese are generally outgoing and aggressive ( I don't mean that in a bad way, but they seem to do well with challenge and aren't shy) and their neighbors in Cambodia are gentle docile kind of types. I used to TA in the indo chinese projects during college. I enjoyed the Vietnamese spirit but there was more trouble and confusion. In the class for Cambodians it was a process of drawing them out and not stepping on toes.

Don't mean to interrupt the thread but I wanted to say thanks to Hitman. I finally found a local smoke shop that now carries General snus. So far I've tried the Nordic mint and found it extremely pleasing. Not salty and just the perfect flavor. I'll be trying the white portion and classic soon. (Sorry if I got the names wrong. I'm a newbie with Swedish snus). Anyway the snus along with Vaping I finally got through a complete day with no analogs. This may be the perfect combination for me. Anyway thanks again Hitman for steering me in the right direction. Now I can throw the American snus in the trash can. LOL

And I can't wait to try the other flavors. So good so far. I've only had to use it in stressful times. I tried the WTA juice and it kinda made me feel funky. Cured the craving but the buzz reminded me of the 60's and 70's. LOL. I still use it when I have to but I truley do like the General!!!!!!!:toast:

I bought a Camel Mellow snus tonight simply because I had to know. Now I know. It's lifeless compared to Swedish Snus. I read up about and my impression American snus was a lot lower in nic was wrong. 8mg being regular strength. I still keep wondering if there are some brands or particular flavor, non mint for me here, that is lower in salt. 2 weeks and it's still distracting. Maybe the right person will see this and LMK. It's certainly not a deal breaker. Well since I had the camel snus mellow in my mouth I have strong urge to get get a small batch of Goteburgs Rape to fix things up!

Rape still...shipment will be here soon!

Yes TNT, that is the trial pack that General has been offering in various locations. To some extent, it has been "Americanized" to supposedly address the difference in out tastes. I myself prefer the General Mint to the Nortic Mint, but I pick up the Nordic now and then. What's that ride in your Avatar. I've been looking at FRJ1300's lately but I really don't need another bike since I already have 400 and 650 scoots and I've gotten used to the twist and go, but you never know.

My niece had her first (and possibly only) child over the weekend. Unfortunately, it was really early and something like 3oz and change so fingers are crossed that all works out. The delivery went fine and early indications are good.

Good morning. Sorry to hear about the little one : ( It's true, they do have a lot of technology now and can really take care of preemies. I'm sure it's very hard on your niece right now, though.

Snus question: I had a carto in a freshly filled tank die on me, but didn't feel like fiddling with it, so I've been going with the snus since last night. Hittman, you know from my thread that I have regular strength. Last night I was using 2 portions at once to make 16mg, and when I first woke up this morning I threw in 3 for 24mg. I will order stronger strength online today, but for now is it okay that I am using it this way?

I've done the one on each side before. My regular morning snus is 16mg and I've tried a couple of the odens extreme that I think are in the 22mg range. The 22mg were a little strong for me. I would think that as long as it doesn't make you feel poorly that there wouldn't be anything wrong with it. I would have to say that you are the first person I've heard of that has put in three portions. I have to wonder how much nic someone is getting when they take a really big pinch of copenhagen or skoal. I would think that a large pinch could equal up to the 24mg range.

I'm hitting it a little harder this morning myself. I usually start with a 16mg and then switch to an 8mg after that. This morning I've picked a 12.5mg as my second. Just kinda felt like I needed something extra this morning.

I felt like a hamster, but it staved off my morning nic craving. Nope, not feeling over-nic'd or dizzy or anything. I just have a high tolerance. I was hoping I wouldn't run into that issue. I'm really not trying to be some sort of extreme nic fiend  I switched out my carto and am back to the PV now. I only did the 3 because it was the first nic of the day. I probably won't use more than one at a time, if any at all, today. I'll be vaping. I think I will order a mix of 20mg, like Lab 06/Oden's , and and some 14ish mg for future snus.

There is also the thunder raw and nick and johnny just came out with an extra strong snus. The ones I tried were odens extreme and extreme 59. The flavor wasn't too bad but the nic was kinda high for me although today I am already on portion number four and have had a few vapes here and there.

My SO took a few portions to work with him to try out. He offered a portion of General White to a coworker who is a longtime smoker. He had to spit it out immediately, and his face swelled. I'm thinking he had an allergic reaction to the flavorings (bergamot/citrus?). We've been trying to get him to try vaping, but after that experience, I don't think he'll want to try anything we offer him again.
