Homeowner's Boards (I've never attended a meeting) sound frightening and in my imagination TERRIFYING like you'd be lucky not to be
murdered.
I'm sure some folks get elected because they don't suck and everything but I feel there is this HUGE swath of people who just want the power and like, the ability to tell their neighbors how to LIVE. I mean.... this one dude, in our HOA, who grew roses which like WHO DOES that in Tucson had this great big expensive car, and like two other muscle cars in his
driveway and I hit it one time and we had asked him like 50 times to MOVE IT because it was a) blocking a fire hydrant an b) most of the road and c) parked illegally way too close to the corner.
That was one time I did NOT back down, I insisted the police come to asses it. They took their time about it and
insurance companies were called and they decided to split the difference.
I STILL would never eat any of that dude's food, EVER (if he's still alive) and it wasn't the CAR exactly (although it did suck) but more he had been HARRYING us for like, a LONG time about various stuff. I asked the husband to get him to move it because it looked like prime "Anna hitting material" to me (I guess I had a premonition) but it wasn't on purpose.
If your neighbor wants to be like that, his problem.
