Less than 36 hours after delivery, the second load of pallet firewood is stacked and ready for the winter. Now all I need to split the rounds that I started before the yellow jacket attack and load the woodshed. I'm getting too old for this stuff. At least the yellow jackets have been vanquished.

We had a super cloudy east coast kind of day with clouds and rain all day but not monsoon like and 80 degrees.

Consider that balmy around here, oh boy can't wait to get the husband up into Rural higher Elevation territory where it actually SNOWS in winter.

I was unimpressed (sun worshipper) but he was so happy. LOL.

Weather has been pretty much the same here in Michigan. Warm and humid. We got a boatload of rain in August which prompted a huge mosquito hatch. You basically can't go outside regardless the time of day without massive amounts of deet on or you'll die, literally. I've never seen it this bad. I went to our freezer in the garage the other morning, grab a couple packs of hamburger and got bit three time before I could get back inside. Vicious little suckers. But there a cold front moving in this weekend. 60s and 70s with lows in the 40s at night. Hopefully that will wipe a few of them out.

Funny, I've lived in the woods now 22 years and mosquitoes have never been a problem. Now bees, wasps and yellow jackets are another story. There are bat populations which might be what keeps the blood suckers at bay and I'm now equipped to deal with the stingers. My wood shed is now certified safe to approach.

    Somewhere between here and there
I went out to check my wife's oil in her car last night and had three mosquito bites in just a couple minutes. She's taking her mother and brother with her today to see the play that my oldest daughter is in at college. I'm glad I won't be in that car. My youngest couldn't go today so I'm going to drive three hours each way Sunday to take her.

Well, I've been on Lumosity now for over 20 days and 20 straight at this point. I've been comparing my results with my age group and those 10 to 20 years younger and have been doing pretty well.

I decided to look back through all age groups and I kept dropping as expected although I was better than more than half in all categories and overall down to the 35-39 group where my problem solving dropped to only the 49th percentile but my overall stayed in the 69th. In the 25-29 group I became quite average with 46% in problem solving and 55% overall.

Then in the 20-24 group my overall ticked up just a few tenths and I was slightly over 50% for problem solving and here is were it gets strange, the under 20 group. Here's where you'd expect to get crushed but no. I suddenly jumped to 79% in problem solving, nearly or over 80% in all but attention where I was 74%, my lowest. Overall I was in the 83rd percentile. Makes you wonder if our youth are using their brains for anything but video games and sex. lol

As a caveat, I'd suggest that many are using their smartphones or tablets as opposed to that "old fashioned" laptop to do the exercises. A tablet wouldn't be too bad, but a smartphone, the device of choice, I'm sure, for the under 20 crowd, but still. The app works pretty good with a touch screen as opposed to those old fashioned mice I use part of the time.

Sixphoto MG Madras in my nose . Ghee roasted plain tobacco ; rich and tasty . This is a relatively new product and it looks like it will end up becoming one of my daily snuffs .

Used to love me some Snuff. Used for many years. Then I got a 'nose job' and couldn't handle it anymore. (need for nose job was unrelated to snuff use)
Had to move on to Snus.

Too bad many of the Snus flavors are unavailable to the US market.

So, back on topic for this morning:

Is that the same as the old grov black?

Well it's Grov and it is 'black'. As far as it being the same as their 'old' black, beats me. I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone what my snus was like 20-30 years ago. :)

Tastes great regardless. When I want a 'black', it's always a toss up between this and Onyx.
    Both are excellent IMHO.
