Yeah, I figured this will be my last journey into the deck world. I hear you on the replacement boards. I expect them to be a bear to get up and the new ones in, particularly the long ones. I wish I paid attention when my buddy was cutting out around the posts. That's going to slow me down a bit. The ones where the posts are square with the decking don't concern me, but the ones sitting on an angle will be a challenge.

Good luck. I’m terrible with geometry. I got A’s in every math class including calculus but scraped by with a B in geometry.

We had a ton of rain the past few weeks. I went to patch a couple screw holes in the kids bathroom Sheetrock and saw a water spot on the ceiling. Then my wife found a couple little spots in one bedroom. I’m guessing our roof has a leak. We have someone coming Wednesday to look at it and give an estimate. I couldn’t remember when we had the roof replaced before and it was 14 years ago. It sure doesn’t seem that long ago.

I got a little aggravated at this lady at my insurance today. I called to ask about the deductible and told her about the water spots on the ceiling and she was like now we don’t want to file a claim if we don’t have to like I was stupid or something. Then warned me that it has to be weather damage or it won’t be covered. Besides the two weeks of freezing cold, we have had high winds, hail, and tons of rain. I would think it’s weather damage and not just a loose shingle.

insurance. I'm waiting to hear from my guy in VA. They had 2" hail stones last week and he said he'd check it out to see if there was any damage. Hopefully whatever the issue is, it won't be too bad. I had a water issue years ago. The insurance company paid without any question, both to repair the roof and replace the tiles in the bedroom where it leaked. Those were the days. I actually ended up painting the tiles in the entire rook and saved a few bucks.

Deck is stripped and found one joist I need to scab as there's about an inch of rot on the top of the joist. A few others I'll do likewise to make the transition of direction of the boards a bit more stable. I went looking for my circular saw and it's still MIA so I might spend a few bucks for a new one as the old is, well, pretty old, and missing. lol

You never slow down do you Roth? I got my second vaccine shot today and so far I’m feeling fine. I was a little nervous about getting the second one as some people have gotten sick for a short period after.

GM is pretty much saying hell with it and telling us to register with the health department. I registered a few weeks ago and haven't heard back yet while most of the people I know have already gotten both shots.

I tried registering at the few local pharmacies and either they say I'm ineligible or the website to book the appointment is broken.

Yep, I am an anti-vaxer, NOT getting the shot. I don't get the flu shot either. They came up with this too fast, and there are several of them that got approved real quick, I do not trust it. If I get it and die, well that is what it is, but I am not going to take some experimental vaccine. To each their own. Just Me.

Our neighbor lady got sick both times. My MIL was fine. Since we've already had the 'rona, we'll wait on the Vax (if we ever do).

My wife's mother, father, and brother all did fine with both shots and had no side afffects.

Outside of my sister in law having a couple bad days after Pfizer #2 and a friend having a bad night with the J&J, everyone one I know has been side effect free outside of like arm soreness.

I don't really care whether I get it or not. The only reason I want to get it is we can raw dog oxygen at work if 75% of people get it.

Got my first shot scheduled for next week. Might as well get it done so the government can track me with the microchip included with the shot. Just kidding, but hell who knows these days? Might actually be true.

Spent a week on St. George island in Florida with the family for spring break. Not much for masks down there, not much for any precautions in general. But we masked up when we went out for the most part to keep the appearance up. Had a really good time and I would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing get away in a laid back environment. Ate my fill of seafood for sure and the beer was cold.

Should have my order from Snusexpress on Friday. Ordered 4 rolls and got 8 cans free for under $200. Worked out to be about $3.78 a can which ain't too shabby in my opinion. That'll last me until winter.

It's good to hear from you Rebel. Glad you had a nice vacation. How were the flights? Were they full?

Flights weren't bad. We flew Delta down to Atlanta and picked up a rental car for the rest of the trip. Delta kept an open seat between passengers so it was actually nice and not crowded at all. The flight back had more people but everyone had masks on and the crew handed out plenty of sanitizing wipes so we felt safe. It was just nice to get away for a while and relax.

I'm with you Burnie. I'll do my best to try to avoid unnecessary contact but I've lived plenty long enough if it goes wrong for me.
