LOL, now you're starting to understand. She has to eventually get that you are leader of her pack, but that takes time.
I had an actual break
through with Jacks tonight, all by accident. I put up one of those old fashioned wooden screen doors up last year because, unless the front door is locked, the big dogs can use their heads and push open the door from the deck. I have a child gate on the deck to keep Jack from running wild. Before the screen door, flys got to be a major issue.
The screens lower two panels aren't roped in so they can pass between the deck and house freely. They gave me that brilliant idea after they pushed
through it the first week I installed it.
Anyway, Jack's good for a good barking insistance to go out to do his business twice a night. The Keynote address just finished and I headed to the ba
throom and I notice the door is opened and I know the gates not up. That's when I realize Jack hasn't been in my face once tonight. Panicked I turn on the deck light and there he is laying right there, gate wide open. I'd love to be able just to let him out without leash duty and this is the first sign I may soon be able to do just that. It's only taken a couple years but he's starting to get it.
