I don't go lightning fast or anything, Hitt. My 8 year old daughter wanted to run with me tonight. I said sure and figured if we had to take walk breaks for her to rest, I'd just have to be ok with that. Ummm...she kept up with me JUST FINE FOR 20 MINUTES!!! In fact, I think she could've tolerated a faster pace just fine. Sheesh. Granted, she is a very in shape little girl, but still. That was a huge ego slam for me, but at the same time, I am terribly proud of her! I've heard that about intervals too hitt. For me though, if i walk at all during a run, it's really hard to talk myself in to going again!!
Right, my husband will be moving in to an apartment about two hours away. He'll come home on his days off. He's taking his dog too. He's been wanting to move for a promotion for a long time, and I haven't wanted to move. This is the compromise we reached. If we earn enough to pay off our 20k home equity loan and after that can save enough for a decent acreage (20k-50k??) and he can support us without me HAVING to work and also pay me $250 a week cash allowance, then I will consider moving the rest of our family. I really don't like change at all. We have a good life here and I see no need to change it. So if he wants to turn everything upside down just so he can be the grand poobah, that's the terms. We even have a signed contract.

Man, busy thread since yesterday, I'm already a page behind. Good to see, maybe because summer is over. Hi PE, welcome to the dark side. Axl, two hours isn't bad. A fellow that I play poker with is here from Chicago and he's been around for over a year with at least two more coming. Now that's a long distance marriage and he has fairly young kids.

I came over here after seeing Justin B. on AGT. I was fascinated that the dancers were all wearing Chucks and I thought of the discussion of running shoes. It's hard to believe they still sell them, I was wearing them fifty years ago and they still look the same. Of course at $45, the price has gotten a bit steeper, but nothing compared to the specialty shoes they have today. I've got to get a new pair of docksides. I have a pair I've had for ages that now are wrapped in duct tape to keep the soles on. After I replace them, I'm getting Chucks, just because.

Axl, I worked out tonight too. I ended up doing half mile runs with two minute walks between. I seem to do better if I walk between. It's like I need to warm up more before I'm loosened up to run. Maybe something to do with the arthritis. Good luck with the husband situation. That would be nice if you didn't have to work. I'm starting to get the new running shoes broken in. I hate getting new shoes. My left foot usually bothers me while breaking in a new pair.

When you consider that an average cigarette has anywhere from 13 to 450 times the TSNA levels found in most smokeless products and the difference in usage (for me 5 portions on a bad day compared to 50 cigarettes), I'll take my chances with smokeless.

VapeApe, that would make sense. I like the los, but even as a pris it gets nasty getting it out. I just broke a portion the other day. I was glad I was at home.

Hitt you're so lucky to have that convenience. Maybe one day that will happen around here.

Nice to see you Skry, but not nice to hear the news. Not a good thing. I sure hope all goes well.

Axl, I remember you posting about those prospects a while ago. Which dog is his? Hopefully it will all work out fine. Heck, if it does, being retired isn't really a bad thing or perhaps a new opportunity would come up. You never know what the future will hold.

Good morning. It was a little chilly here this morning so I grabbed my light work jacket for the first time in months. I found some red bull snuff, half a bottle of tobacco road wta, and a couple drip tips. Now that's a bonus.

Just a little bit ago one of the guys here at work was getting a rental machine down off a shelf with a forklift and dropped it face first on the concrete. Guess who has to take a look at it to see if it's repairable. Yep, that'd be me.

Roth, He has a female dog named Meike. She isn't the best at the sport, just doesn't have strong enough nerves or work ethic for bite work. She is a talented tracker though. My husband is terrible at tracking but with my help last year they had a 99 point track and this year 97. Before I started working with them, she failed. She is a better tracker than either of my boys. She is quite amazing and I think he should persue that further.

My daughter ran with me again tonight. We did 12 minutes. I decided to go her pace and let her wear herself out...except that last part didn't happen and I ended up having to slow us down. Sheesh. She's 8 and has asthma. I am pathetic!!

LOL, yes they have been, Hitt. You are right.

Great training day today. Most of our club is at a trial so my friend and I hired the guy who works with our club to come work with just us two for the weekend. Incredibly expensive between the two of us, but well worth it. He brought his girlfriend along and she is frickin amazing!! Got some good work done.

Yeah... Pics or it happened the way we are imagining it.... LOL (sorry... couldn't help it)

My Mom is doing well. She will get 4 chemo treatments, but the prognosis is good.

Bartending tonight we actually had an issue with a customer. I took a drink away from a kid who couldn't show me an ID. His Dad was there, and we tried to explain calmly that we don't serve minors regardless of parents permission. The kid was a punk, and ...... off both me and my Dad. His dad defended him.... If one of my boy's talked or acted like that to anyone they would have to answer to me, regardless of their age. I understand his dad defending him, to a point. This kid made his dad look like an .... Maybe I'm just getting old....

    Thanks for letting me vent.

    Good night folks.

Skrymr I'm glad your mom's outlook is good. My wife is eight years cancer free. The chemotherapy really sucks but necessary. I hope everything goes as well as possible for her.

As far as the kid at the bar with no ID. I don't think the dad should have defended him. If he was legal then I would have made him go get his ID and if not then leave. Who takes an under age child drinking? Way to set the example dad!

Good news Skry, hope all goes well.

You didn't say if the kid was of age or not (maybe you didn't even know). However (in this day and age at least in PA), if you're anywhere close to 21 and expecting to get served, you better have your ID with you or have already been ID'd by the bartender in the past so they know you. I had a situation where one of the 20 somethings that play poker showed up without his. The bartender was subbing for the regular gal and wouldn't serve him. I spoke with her and let her know he'd played a couple times in the past.

She asked me if I'd seen his ID and I hadn't. She couldn't take the chance and sent him home to provide proof. Here both the bar and server get fined and, from what I've been told, it's not cheap. It's even worse if you lose your job for not doing it.

OT, as if anything is in this thread, has anyone used any of the wash-less car cleaning products that have come out? I bought a can a few months ago and have been using it in my scoots to keep them clean and shiny. While I was cleaning my garage, I decided to see what it would do on my filthy S2000. I just did a small section of the hood and the dirt just seemed to lift away to the terrycloth towel I was using and it waxed up real nice. It certainly wasn't as good as a good detailing but I was still amazed. In less than half an hour I had 80% of the car looking good. It normally takes that long to just wash and dry it.

Hitt, this was a surprise party at the American Legion Hall for a 90 year old lady. A few kids there, but they were all family. All well behaved except for one. I guess the funniest part was he was trying to act like a big man and drinking a girly drink.... LOL

Roth, that was the point we were trying to get across. We aren't going to risk losing our liscense for any underage kids. They didn't care, the kid wanted to drink.

Roth, the only cleaner I've tried like that was for my motocycle. It was made by Honda, and worked great on everything. Paint, plastic and chrome.

Just taking it easy today with:
