Great to see you again Skry!

So I got home from xmas shopping and my hubby was upset with my son because he is obsessed with sharpening knives today. (ocd goes hand in hand with my son's asperger's). Awhile ago I bought my son the same sharpening stones set that I used as a CHILD. My son is incredibly good at sharpening knives, so I gave him a pile of dull kitchen knives and he's having a blast. My hubby was appalled. If my son has a useful obsession, I don't see what is wrong with using it to my advantage!! I have made it abundantly clear to my son, especially in light of recent events, that he is NOT to discuss his obsessions at school, as people are very sensitive to that sort of thing.

BORING day, just how I like it.

tbomb. Merry Christmas TV!

Sorry to hear about your mom Skry but hopefully she'll be alright. Also congrats on your wedding. It won't be hard to remember your anniversary, now you have no excuse.

The Odyssey is in the box, but it's not new. We used it until Intellivision came out, then it was relegated to storage. It was pretty funky. It was basically Pong with the graphics being translucent plastic sheets that kind of stuck to a 19" (as I remember it anyway) TV. You're right, thrift stores are the only place to find old TVs today.

Axl, I don't know why you wasted your time xmas shopping. Didn't you see the weather forecast I posted?

I hear you Hitt. I remember the days when I looked forward to holidays that fell midweek, where you could use 3.3 vacation days to span 11 days days of no work. Almost like a real vacation (sometimes I made them that using enough days to have two weeks and going someplace). Now it's sometimes a task to remember what day of the week it is, but I've struggled with that for over 10 years now.

I changed direction totally on what I was interested in buying to replace internet in VA. I'll send my WD TV Live south as the replacement and play with this for awhile-

Android Mini PC MK808 With Jelly Bean Android 4.1.1 - YouTube

I bought it, a keyboard and 16 GB memory card for a bit over $100 and from what I'm seeing I'll have more than I have on my Bionic delivered in 1080P to 55 inches of TV screen. If it works out how I envision it, it will eventually end up in VA and the next great cheap advancement will end up here.

Roth, that is hilarious!!

So I was looking for my air matress and pump for it tonight. Called my hubby to ask wth? He said it is stored in the camper (off site). The camper is the ONLY place we would never use the air matress. I asked why the h did he put it there. He said because that is where he put the tent (a. what tent? and b. again, don't need a tent in the camper). Good thing he's pretty...

Hj is driving me nuts. I'm not going to complain though, as he is healthy so I will put up with his weirdness.

Axl, that's great the HJ is healthy for once and hopefully for a while. I have become a seeing eye person for T. Besides the half basketball size fat tumor on his side and more than two steps are a disaster waiting to happen (fortunately the two times he fell down my fron steps nothing got injured), I've finally figured out he doesn't see real well.

I think he may have gone off the back deck and landed in the pond a couple times also. I thought he was just going in to get wet, but now I'm suspecting he took a spill, fortunately again surviving it. I have to take him out and guide him till he gets into the yard, then insure that I keep guiding him back to me.

The interesting aspect of this new change in life is that I'm relatively sure I taught him left and right years before. I used to throw balls and when he couldn't find them right away, I'd say left and right. When he turned the wrong way I'd yell "no" and the opposite direction. He seemed to get it over time but I didn't give it any thought. He hasn't chased balls other than a 10-15 foot throw so he could waddle to it and lay down for a good year or two.

Earlier today he went to do his business and was working his way back and started going the wrong way. When I yelled "no left", he turned and came right at me. Tonight I had to direct him multiple times, but only once did he turn the wrong way and he immediately changed direction on command. Now I'm curious if it will help in my "guide person duties". He definitely has gotten the "up" command to get him to know he has to climb a step.

If everything goes well, he'll turn 13 in late January/early Feb. I know it was still in that "we're almost into spring" period when I picked him up. J've joked with my mom that he must have been born Jan 26th, her birthday. She'd be 94 and he'd be (using the 10yr 1st year, 7 year each year after dog to person life estimate) the same age. Hopefully they'll both hang around until then. I looked at some other calculators and they appear to put the range between 90 and 96 and aging fast. The Pedigree dog calculator for Goldens doesn't go above 13 but I know some have been reported to live to 17. I'd settle for February at this point.

I can't wait for that MK808 to arrive, I love new toys. I've already found sites that have developed alternative ROMs. There's been an issue with stock and web cams and the one ROM I found appears to address that issue. What a world of innovation, all outside the corporate world. My friend's son is in Phoenix at Motorcycle maintenance school. She has no way right now to communicate other than phone. If I can put together an inexpensive Skype solution, that would be great. It's a shame he shot his notebook (anger management issue).

I haven't placed an online snus order in quite some time. I have been buying general mint locally and using up the others in my stockpile. I looked at a few sites today and noticed that the general mint is now priced higher online on all sites than what I'm paying for it locally. I'm getting it for 3.99 a can and general keeps sending me coupons so many times I'm not paying that much. I think I'm going to hold out for another free shipping deal before I order anything online again.

Hello just wanting to find out more about the Swedish snus. Excuse me "hittman" but a vendor of WTA juice mentioned your name to me as a go to guy for some advice. The only snus I've been able to try is the Camel Snus. Just doesn't cut it for me. I've never been much of a snuff or snus user just the analogs. While I do vape I find that I need a bit more kick. I've got the WTA on it's way but I would appreciate any advice from snus users as to a flavor or suggestion on Swedish snus and places to order it from. Thanks in advance to everyone. I've spent hours reading the reviews but I guess it's gonna be a personal taste. Just hoping for some suggestions.

You can register at generalsnus.com to do a store locator and you can print coupons off the website. As far as a recommendation, that would depend on what type of flavors you like. I would probably start out with 8mg portions. One of my favorites is general mint. There are several places to buy from depending on the tobacco tax in your state. If you buy from northerner or getsnus then you will pay tax. Otherwise you can order from snuscentral or buysnus directly from sweden. The shipping charges are rather high so it's worth placing a large order to offset the shipping cost. Take a look at some of the websites and see what flavors sound good to you. If I have some of them, I would be willing to send you a few portions of each to try. I don't buy as big of a variety as I used to since I've gotten a good feel for what I like and can buy general products locally.
