duh! sometimes the simplest solutions elude me. thank you! i didn't want to mess with getting all the electrical connections completely submerged if i could help it. if there's dust in there it's just going to turn into mud.
:)

what electrical connections?? there's is no electrical connections at all! just submerge the chasis in a bucket of warm water with a little soap for a good bath! V-mods love to take baths!

I take it all apart and wash the body in warm water, the whole body (minus the battery of course ).

I boil my attys, inner-top metal assembly, and cone. This does not seem to affect the o-ring. I let things cool, rinse, and put it all back together. I find this all REALLY helps. Especially boiling the atty.

I am successsfully using a Vivinova head in my Vmod XL, just requires a 306 tip and tucking in of the protruding wick. No need to wait for the $$ rebuildables for our mod... Flavor and throat hit are off the charts, my charts anyway. Easily bests the hybrid atomizer, certainly no slouch, and Silo cartomizer. I will rebuild one with cotton wick for the XL. I'm using that in the tank and it's just a hair behind the XL and standard wick at 1.8 ohms. I serpose I'll install the 357 someday soon.

That's a heck of an idea!

Can't beat a $3 atty! :)

No good pics..

Parts... 306 drip tip and atty with cap on

The atty screwed in, best to do without the top cap on, gives you griip with the wick slots. You will be tucking the wick into the well with whatever ponty item you have at your disposal. This clears the way for the drip shield and improves the wicking I think. This only has a hole in the center post but the mod feeds from seemingly everywhere and feeds the atty very well. A cotton wick will only improve performance, imho.

Full pic, drip tip protrudes just enough

Try it with the extended 306 Drip Tip.

Will probably make life a little easier. I will definitely be picking a couple of these up for playing.

Picked one up today.

Haven't tried yet as I eventually got a 357 after months of talking about it.

My HH.357 arrived a few days after the Vivi Nova. How is it working for you? I'm no coil guru, but due to my 10 thumb affliction I think I am settling for anyhing that becomes an atty at reasonable ohms. The stock Vivi 1.8 was better than the hybrid 2.0 with Boba's Bounty but I think that is only because of the resistance. So I am debating putting th HH into use or leaving it on my mantel as a trophy, lol. I guess I'll wait til my latest creation dies.

My HH is 1.5.

Slow starter but so were the Aero's so going to give it a bit of time to settle in before making an assessment on it.

If you do some research, why wouldn't you with ECF as a resource and paying over $20 for an atty ?, it seems there is a learning curve with these. So far I don't think I am there with the feeding method it needs or it isn't broken in yet.

Either way I am willing to give it time. Ohh initially even with the long barrel still got spittyness but that died off far faster than with the Aero.

Flavour is actually quite good however not getting the reported plumes of vapor and light throat hit as said though this is more likely to be my learning curve rather than the atty.

As regards the Vivi atty well I have some plans for the involving wire mesh replacing the silica. Will have that to hand over the next few days so will wait before getting really stuck in. Did pick up an extended 306 drip tip yesterday from Empire Mods as well which looks to fit a treat.

I'm at 14 weeks on my HH357. It needs to oxidize and develop a "crust" around the coil to really work well, that makes a sort of integrated ceramic. Before it breaks in it's spitty and uneven. It's also hard to feed smoothly. After the break-in you will find it gets into "hiss" mode where it just vapes. Best to mostly feed it just by tipping and letting juice flow in as needed. Use the bottle to aspirate excess juice back in, blow if needed. And prime occasionally with a squirsh. If it acts naughty, squirsh it thoroughly and set it aside to soak in juice for half an hour. That'll learn it!

I've dry-burned mine (carefully) twice now. Next one I get I'll dry-burn right away to oxidize the wire. But next? This thing just keeps vaping and vaping. I do vape 100% VG, actually a little less, due to 2-5% flavoring 5% water/alcohol and nicotine. Never try to break up the crust, it's essential and helps keep the coil together.

I've been running bottom feeders for a longgggg time, so just trying to help ya out a little,,,Put a Donut a top that 357 and you can take a pull on it like no other Drip tip will allow you to do, and run that Atty to peak performance,, one of these will make that mod really vape like it's built to do =

WTF? Donut man! They look like venetian glass. Stands to reason they would solve the juice in mouth problem that still sometimes plagues me. But I'm afraid I'd bite them. I just finished chewing through a delrin driptip, and you know how tough those are! Where do you get them? Do they come in different materials?

p.s. how well do they hold up to being run over by the proverbial truck?
