The FDA needs to make a regulation that people under the age of 26 can't vape at less than 100 watts per lithium cell, for public safety.

Great idea. Won't be long before the general public crosses the street at the mere sight of a young knucklehead vaping.

Bonus points, we'll thin the heard, too.

Pure genius!

So what do some of you think is going on with it always being guys who are linked to explosion stories in the news that unfortunately gives vaping a bad rap? I am not trying to give guys a bad rap here...just seriously trying to understand it...why is it always males and not females.

Neural linguistics programming is more effective given within the scope of the masculine, or positive gender normative. It is more believable that guys have it happen as guys are seen as more predominately engaged in brave new ventures. Vaping is the current new bogey man, the new Odyssey. Men slay the dragons ergo it makes sense to depict all the fear mongering with a cast of men. You keep the sheep in line by offering examples of their boldest overcome by peril. In that neural linguistics programming is useful in social engineering, only makes sense for men to be used in the scary tales. It makes psychological sense as well as genetic sense, follows the protocols of our conditioning. :2c: FWIW ... Not that a poor Appalachian country boy would actually know manure from raisins.

Welcome to the new world order, where stupid is cool, just wait another 10 years and we'll be seeing bleach drinking competitions :p

You may laugh. Can assure you what I convey next is not a joke.

There was a brief time I ran with a small town / county volunteer rescue squad. I was within a hair's breadth of being an E.M.T. The crew I ran squad calls with was at the time what all other squads in the area referred to as the spaghetti surgeons. We had old retired military, law enforcement, former and active members of various abc agencies ( even some not afford a name ) as part of our crew. For them, I was a tested E.M.T, I ran with the big dogs and had two saves.

The point being we ran the hairy calls. One involved a station wagon full of Hispanic people, an embankment off a busy interstate highway, decapitation, using jaws of life ( after the fact of the decapitation and not the cause of it). Another involved having to risk taking a bullet to snare someone pumped up on P.C. ...(drug) into a straight jacket. This case I relate though involved a young lady who we could not allow to vomit, nor allow to pass out or sleep.

She had literally ingested a full gallon of bleach. Her rationale was that it would get the attention of her boyfriend. Her boyfriend was so far gone on anti-psychotics he could not tell if he had drawn a breath, or not. How was he to be concerned about his emotionally disturbed and obviously mentally ill girlfriend? (rhetorical) We had to take him along as well. No one could babysit him and he had started spiking out into signs of stroke induced coma. The drugs had eaten him up from the core outward. Right away some of the former state troopers on our team were ditching bags full of drugs into the toilet, as we made our way out of their place.

It is terrifying seeing humanity fall into such a state. Near sadistically depressive to have quell your own humanity out of realizing there is little you can do to help. I sat at the head of her, on the gurney. Her boyfriend was in the jump seat to one side of me. She lulled back from her seated position and kind of rested against my chest. Had no choice but to extend arms under hers, hold her up and steady, in an embrace. The boyfriend saw, kind of smiled in some sense of understanding, leaned over and rested up against me as well. I could only hold them both in my arms gently until we got to the hospital. They both felt emaciated. They were nothing but rag dolls barely held to bone by sinew. So terribly sad.

Once we had discharged them to the hospital the oldest, and senior ranking former trooper come over to me. "Ever going to get that bad with drugs, you think?" The younger trooper grinned. He took me by the arm as we climbed into the back and headed to the station.

All fine and well to joke about stupidity. Not so fine and well to see how our vaulted modern, socially ethical society is so dastardly stupid in itself. This couple had fallen through one bureaucratic crack after the next. They were almost deliberately let go. I learned that the boyfriend had at one point been a damn fine engineer. There had been an incident wherein the general consensuses understood "poop happens", people were hurt, people died. He lost it in a bad way. The girlfriend had once been on her way to becoming the youngest female doctor of some neurological surgery in our area. When he lost it, so did she. Did not help matters for her that her genetics had risks of schizophrenia, out right dementia.

But no one could / would do anything for them. High and mighty modern society, all right.

Nota Bene: Apologies if my writing of drugs violates the political correctness of the board. No, on second thought I don't apologize. I'm not glamorizing drug use in the context of what is written. I do not think it would be correct, politically or otherwise to delete the message, nor to inflict punishment upon me.

There are standards and rules for sure. I understand why they are in place. I appreciate discipline and order as much as the next. What I don't appreciate is stupidly not having mature and open discourse, free speech about ideas as adults. So I do not apologize. The context of this to me prevails as mature, adult discussion of ideas regarding society.

No. I am not attempting to be in conflict with board moderators, board administrators. I am merely pointing out that stiffing open conversation enforces stupidity inherent in society. If that happens to seem or be confrontational, well, it'll be what it'll be.

"Wait ten years, we'll have bleach drinking contests."

Sorry. I have already seen that, about twenty years ago, in a way. My point being it was not funny then, not funny now.
And it's not funny because of how we as the human race treat one another. Like I said, it's all fine to joke about stupidity. When you see it as systematic to the point that it kills people, it stops being funny.

Stupidity is not the same as Mental illness
    There is a BIG difference.

This thread was a troll thread, started to start arguments. We posted the replies to thwart the troll, and have some fun.

This really isn't the forum to discuss mental illness and drug/bleach abuse, so let's get back on topic and shenanigans.

LOL. Would if could. Not had a drop of spirits since at least Halloween.
Only finished a shot of rum in a drink then. Not much for drinking beer here.
Like an occasional black & tan but rather enjoy whiskeys or Scotch. I don't
drink though, only very special occasions, or medicinal as bracer / toddies.

    But yeah, got the point.

Aye! Be on with the merriment. Sorry I delved into the abysmal cove. Can only
say I have strong dislike of stupidity. Too sane to be insane here, yet that does it.

Now. would you like my gift for you?

    * tosses you a spare grenade pin *

I have a strong dislike for stupidity as well, but I live in Southern California now so I'm surrounded by a world of stupid.
If I got mad every time I saw stupid Id blow a valve.

    I just laugh.
    Usually in their faces.
