I have lost 70 pounds.. I feel absolutely amazing! No more pain and inflammation.
KETO ROCKS!
Vaping has nothing to do with weight. I can tell you what does.
Look back at family photos from the 50s.
Nearly everyone was at a normal weight. This is before food became garbage.

My guess is that you had "a little bit more of a bigger body" before you started vaping. Stop looking for things to blame your weight on. You know why you have a little bit more of a bigger body and it ain't vape. That said, if you were a former smoker, your appetite may have changed along with some other possible changes. Still got nothing to do with vape, nor do I notice the 9 out 10 observation you note. Want to blame something, blame selective eyesight and denial. Not vape.
I thought I wrote a thread that didn't offend anybody, chill down, vapers! I am a heavy vaper (pun intended) and I ain't looking for anything to blame on except for cigs. I just wanted to ask if you have noticed sth like that as well. So chill down and cheer up! Vape on.

I believe your observation is not precise enough because of the limited sample and because of some specific sorroundings.
Not that is wrong, just it is incomplete, leading to some unrepresentative result.

I could proceed with further inferences, saying that your vapers were originally all part of the same group of smokers, and one day they decided to switch to vaping, making a subset out of the original set.

Therefore, I infer, all chubby people are more careful about their health.

You see from the above, that an observation remains mostly a perception affair. Correct to yourself, but unprovable to others.

Only a logically tought set of rules coupled with a mathematically certain sampling method - can change an observation into a statistically valid measurement.

Which takes a lot of time, money and knowledge to put together.

It's the Russians.

Nah, seriously, full figured people are everywhere these days, including smokers.

The other day while walking from my vehicle to the hotel I was staying at I see this ginormous fellow standing out front. The kind who's wrists are so muscle bound they're big as some peoples neck. He was as wide as he was tall due to gigantic muscles....and he was smoking. Next to him was this really svelt fellow who was vaping.

I actually lost weight

Me too. I'm about 20 pounds lighter than I was in 2010, the year I quit smoking and started vaping. More free time to exercise since I retired the same year. I'm slowly working toward losing another 20 pounds.

Hey, hope we didn't come across as a bunch of mean grouchy types. But most vapers tend to be mean and grouchy. You noticed that? ;) We were really just having a bit of fun. We do that here.

Actually when I first started vaping the only thing around was cigalikes from the kiosks at supermarkets. Most of the people I saw at those kiosks were oldish, probably long time smokers with health problems who would try anything. A few years ago there came a time when most of the vapers I saw were young hipster types. Probably not because they were the majority, but they liked to do it in public while a lot of other vapers kept to themselves.

All we get from our own observations are random snapshots dependent on where we live, how we socialize, etc. I don't think anyone has any way of knowing stuff like this about vapers in general. And the full picture probably changes over time. Maybe one day someone will do an actual investigation.

To the OP, making a generalized observation like you did and wondering if eveyone else agrees will generally result in the results you see here. And this time folks were generally nice about it. Most of time, unsupported statements are not well recieved and mercilessly ridiculed. Personally, i find your statement dumb AF. But since im not overweight, i guess i cant relate.

if we can get our sugar tastes in vaping then we really don't need to eat it in rl.

I agree with this, and it's the main reason I vape. I smoked for a little in college but didn't need help quitting. I vape to help me lose weight. If I find myself really craving something sweet, I reach for my mod instead of the ice cream. So far it's working.

Although quite athletic I added on more than a few lbs first few times I tried to quit. Then anxiety over this went through the roof along with the pounds. So I'd say it's more a self-feeding phenomena mebe?

By the way, have you ever been to rat park? Are you a stealth or social vaper?

Good luck. ;)
