When I vape I can sleep at night. I remember when I smoked, I couldn't sleep because I felt like I was swimming in knives.

That is why I do the time and go through a lot of bs and explain a lot to people and study 24/7 and research so I can explain to those who look at me differently.

People ask me why I vape ?
My answer is : I vape because when I smoked I couldn't sleep at night because my heart would feel like razor knives.

At that point people usually shut their mouths lol.
U can't judge somebody off tat statement lol

i quit after 30 yrs starting vaoing 8 mo ago WAS so proud of myself but now I hear same .... from friends
& family as I did smoking plus tonight went out for dinner & had to go outside & freeze my ... off to vape
with all the stinky smokers so yeah I'm asking myself why bother
im fed up sick of atty problems, juice problems, it's almost as costly & now we're looked down upon & judged so
like I said already why bother
sorry for rant just fed up

I really don't mean to be rude, so please son't take this the wrong way.

You are an adult. Why do you what other people think of your life choices? This is not high school, Its not their business what you chose to do with your body. Its cold outside? Wear more layers. Atty problems? Get a better system. There are solutions to your problems, try some of them before giving up.

I'm really sorry your feeling this way. If your having juice and equipment problems you Really need to do yourself a favor and do some research on equipment and make a investment on some Really good Equipment. It's worth it in the long run, I promise. And as for leaking tanks, I'm not sure what your using but in My own experiences the best tanks are the RBAS and the best coils are the ones you build yourself. When I first started out, I was using the pre-made coils and tanks to go with them. I had LOTS of issues with leaking, spewing, and flooding with these kinds of tanks. Not to mention the flavor wasn't really great either. It seemed muted. When I learned to build my own coils and switched over to RBA tanks I never had that flooding , spewing, and leaking with the RBAs. The flavor was 100% better and the home made coils lasted twice as long! At the time I was having issues with the battery life of my device. I finally invested in a good device. It has dual batteries that now last me 2 1/2 days with heavy vaping. I had finally solved those annoying issues. I can now completely enjoy vaping without the hassle. I can build a coil in less than three minutes and they last, so that's not a issue. By investing in the right equipment I saved myself a lot of time and hassle. You might consider this for yourself. As far as what other people think, I'm not doing this for them. I'm doing this for myself. My health. I'm finally free of cigarettes! That alone is a small miricle and I feel great about it. So don't let the foolishness of others and their opinions ruin a good thing that your doing for yourself! Other people always have opinions, that does not make their opinions or observations true. Don't let them sabotage you. What your doing for yourself is great! You ask what's the point? For me, the point is to finally be free of cigarettes. To no longer be a slave to big tobacco. To stop smoking and to completely enjoy my vaping. Doing this for myself NOT for others. As far as I'm concerned they can keep their opinions of my vaping to themselves. This is for me. My health. My enjoyment. My freedom. Please don't get discouraged. We are all here for you. The point is to do this for yourself. Don't give others opinions so much importance. Remember this is something you do for YOU. And you should also be enjoying yourself while doing it. I truly hope this helps you out. I think if you get back to remembering why you started vaping, possibly upgrade your equipment, you will be enjoying yourself once again and you will know your helping yourself. Then others opinions won't matter so much. I really wish you the very best! Hope this helps.

Right behind you...
Other than obvious health reasons for not smoking, my stamina has increased dramatically during special workouts since I quit smoking...

Not to mention, it seems that the opportunities for special workouts are more frequent, with a wider pool of special workout partners available as well, for those of us that don't have a contractual workout partner already. :)

I can understand your frustration. But think about your situation like this...

Analog = Smoke outside
Vape = Vape outside

Analog = Cost as much as vaping
Vaping = Cost as much as smoking

Analog = Friends, family, strangers give me looks
Vaping = Friends, family, strangers give me looks

So for the most part they are equal. Vaping can be more tricky, but have you seen an emphysema patient? So the final breakdown would be...

Analog = Easy, but cause a metric .... ton of health issues
Vaping = Damn it! I have to rebuild this coil

The only time I have thought about going back to analogs is when I re-watched True Detective lol. The way Rust chain smokes when he is being interviewed looks so damn satisfying. He does that super inhale thing. I do miss that. Makes me want to go buy the best mouth to lung RDA I can find.

Well, I now have a problem with vaping myself.

A year ago my wife got on my case so much for smoking, I decided to quit and replace the cigarettes with vaping. This was also done for my own health reasons too.

Everything was doing just fine for the last year. In fact, my wife didn't even get upset with me vaping in the house.

Well, about a week ago, my wife visits her doctor and mentioned that I vape .... The doctor tells my wife what a horrible habit vaping is and that the second-hand nicotine could have health issues with my wife.

Now, everything has changed ... My wife is on my .... again, just like she used to be when I was smoking cigarettes ... I try to explain to her that vaping is much safer than smoking, but she says that I am in denial.

At this point in time, I am just fed-up with the whole thing!

Everyone has said pretty much everything that could be said here and I am glad you are feeling better about things OP.

Sometimes when I get frustrated with having to go outside to vape I remind myself that vaping inside is not the reason I started in the first place. I spent so many years smoking outside there really is no difference and if I am in a serious fit I can sneak a puff in the bathroom. (just blow the vapor through your shirt fabric) :)
If I go outside and the smoker smell gets to me I just step a bit further away.

I was a very frustrated smoker too for different reasons, but I try to remember that. I think the further away from something we get the less we remember the bad things, heck it's why I went back to smoking after a year and a half. Smoked for another year and one day realized I couldn't walk up stairs without breathing heavy and various other issues. I had conveniently "forgotten" about that stuff after a year and a half.

Going back to smoking just wasn't worth it in the end, I felt like serious crap! Here I am dealing with the withdrawal and breaking the psychological needs AGAIN. :glare:
It just isn't worth it to go back. Keep doing what you're doing, this slump will pass. :)

I read the "real" scientific studies (as to health effects) and really don't let what other's think affect my behavior in ANY way.

.

as to the fiddling with gear, you can get a satisfying vape and not have any mess and bother other than to fill your tanks with ease and swapping of coils ever 40 ml or so, if you go to something like I use,(iStick & V2) I didn't want to be fiddling with swapping batteries, building coils, etc (I have one I might go to it again with the SubTank but doubtful for now, I like a low "fiddle factor" in my life)

Ultimately if you want to, and feel better then vape or not it's your choice

I would loose the wife and the doctor and vape on lol.

All my friends have been pretty supportive of my decision to quit smoking and vape instead. It's funny, I don't notice a single physical difference with myself between the two but I know vaping has to be healthier. I just didn't like smoking anymore but didn't want to weight gain and withdrawal that comes with quitting so I moved to vaping. But as a smoker, I'm used to getting dirty looks having to go outside signs that say I can't smoke within an arbitrary number of feet from the door while there's ashtrays at the door.. Oh well. Do what you want, don't worry about other people.
