That's awesome AnglVapin! I made the same decision Friday night. Isaac had it packed and in the mail to me by Saturday ......... that's quick by any standards!

Terrified of lizards - and you live in Louisiana ....... that would be as bad as me being afraid of lizards here in Houston. Heck - I can almost guarantee that I'll see lizards every time I do yard work throughout the summer. I get them in the house all the time. Honestly - they keep the bug and spider population down ........ which I appreciate - since I HATE spiders!!! 8-o

Glad there's no PV's called the Black Widow or Tarantula!

Keep vaping!

-jason

Jason... I pay ORKIN to keep the bugs away. LOL The leapin' lizards need to find another home! My other house had green lizards that just hung out on the walls. My new house has literally hundreds of NERVY leapin lizards that run across my feet when I walk to my car. These BEASTS do not look like any lizard I have ever seen.... and that ain't no "sissy" talk! LOL

Can you tell me exactly which protected batteries I can get so I can fire this Lizard up when it arrives? At the moment, all I have is the kind that fit in the laser mod... I think 10440 or something like that.

AnglVapin, For the standard Chameleon - you'll need the 16340/CR123A 3.7v battery. Make sure you get the 3.7v version and not the 3.0v version - or you wont be very happy with the vapor for long.

If you also got the extension sleeve for 6v vaping - you need 2 16340/CR123A 3.0v batteries - stacked together to get 6v ......... or a (I believe) 14670 (hard to find!) 3.7v - which will get you 3.7v vaping for an extended period of time.

If I got any of this wrong - someone PLEASE correct me. I'm pretty sure you can also look at the product description on Isaac's website for the batteries needed for each product.

Believe me - your gonna be very happy with this particular lizard! I've had absolutely no problems with it leaping so far. :D

Keep on Vapin.

Your the man Jason! You nailed it good buddy.
I'm not tooo sure yet on the 14670's. I have some premium AW 123a's coming as well as a few 14670 and 17670. I HOPE we can make the 17's work! We'll find out in about a few days. Another thing, I'm working on alleviating 3.0v batteries in general. So I'm aiming for 901,801, and 510 XHV atties to handle 8.4volts. So you guys don't have to waste money on 3.0v batteries and their special chargers. This way we can keep on using our 3.7V batteries. Their true output is 4.2V, so thats why I'm aiming for the sweeter atoms. ;)

Very nice, Isaac. You seem to be the man with the plan.

If nothing else - these new XHV atty's would give everyone more flexibility. I know a lot of us already have the 3.0v versions, but only needing one type of battery for 3.7v or 6v vaping would be awesome. Less money needed for consumables is always welcome!

Exciting news indeed.

So, I FINALLY made a decision and bought the Chameleon and a sleeve.

Odd, that I would end up with something called "The Chameleon" when I am absolutely terrified of lizards! Not a "sissy" fear either... a deep "run for my life, survival" kind of fear.

Sooo, now I will hold a "Chameleon?" LOL

But, I still need batteries.....

A lizard on batteries is a bit too much for me to comprehend at the moment. :p

that's awesome that you got a chameleon and sleeve! go over to the today's laugh thread to read about my experience w/a lizard...

Most definitely Jason! Thank you good sir! I have 3.0v batteries that have been so annoying. To keep plugging in different chargers just to have them ready and not to mention the clutter. It's just useless. I almost have the green light to have them available in about 2 weeks worth of time. :D
Isaac,

Love the new tattoo but didn't that thing HURT?!?! :)

Thanks a million Jason!

I got my Lizard in today! All I can do is admire it until my batteries come in. 8-o

They should be here in a couple of days. Meanwhile, can I use an Energizer non rechargable CR123A? If I can, I will be at the store first thing in the AM!

Wait, it is the AM.... sooo, first thing later in the AM! :D

AnglVapin, you could also try interstate batteries, if you have one in town. The one near me has CR123 3.0v batteries with charger for around $30. I haven't bought from them yet ........ but it's nice to know they're there if I need them. No 3.7v, though.

2 3.0v non-rechargeable batteries would get you 6v with the sleeve .......... for a time, anyway.

Good call J, I din't even know interstate was an actual store.
OR hehe
Angl, you can just cut out the 3.0V batteries and go for 3.7's because I have a confirmed order of (Extra High voltage) XHV atties coming! These puppies will be more than happy to comply with 2 rcr-123a 3.7V batteries. I have 901,510, and 801 coming! In theory, it will be the same thing as high voltage vaping, just without the clutter and need of 3.0V batteries and they're pesky chargers. ;)

I got these:

UFCHGRCR123 Ultrafire 3.6 volt or 3 volt RCR123 Lithium Battery Charger

AWRCR123 AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Battery

I hope this is right?
Do I need the sleeve to use these or not?

I am confused about the "pesky chargers."

Oh, heck.. I am just CONFUSED, period! LOL

It looks like you did good with the batteries and charger. Those batteries will work fine for 3.7v vaping with the standard Chameleon body. I wouldn't use 2 of them with the extension sleeve - until you get some XHV atty's to bring the voltage down to 6-ish volts, though. So ...... no extension sleeve with these just yet.

From the website:
"We recommend unprotected batteries for all applications that can use a 3.6-4.2 volt battery. The cells on this page are unprotected Lithium R123 Cells that charge up to 4.2 volts with nominal 3.6 output. "

You DO recommend unprotected?

Well, I certainly don't recommend unprotected batteries. Lots of people (respected people) on this forum use them and have no problems whatsoever, but since I don't have any unprotected batts - I don't see the need to take a chance. Just my humble opinion, though. YMMV

Thanks Jason!

I had ordered the batteries before I saw some replies and wanted to make sure I didn't need the sleeve. I will "try" the sleeve when I get some HV Atties, but something tells me it would be too big for my taste.

I mainly wanted to make sure I had purchased the proper kind to use without the sleeve and have a decent vape.

Thanks again.

Angl, glad I could ease your mind .......... now I just hope I was right! :D

I, unfortunately, don't have any 3.7v batteries that'll fit the Chameleon right now - so I'm toughing it out at 6v with the sleeve. Very nice - I have to say. I know it's kinda big with the sleeve, but at least you have the option to try it. Everyone should try vaping at 5 or 6v at some point.

Hope your batteries arrive soon - Isaac is just too fast at getting orders out the door ........ and that's not a bad thing!

Please let us all know what you think of the Chameleon at 3.7v. I'll have to experience it though you - until I get MY batteries in.

Vape it like you stole it!
