Soooooo what you're saying is..... Waffles over tacos?
I like how this guy thinks.....

To be honest, people seeking advice should expect advice. Maybe the person recommending a Provari has owned several $100 mods and is thinking they will save the original poster some grief my recommending a quality device? I don't think that makes them dumb, illiterate or trolls. Just a person looking out for another person. There are a million ways you can spin it, but in the end.....

Bacon takes the crown.

No, what I'm saying is... if you want to talk to yourself why bother come to forums. We don't need to hear you tell us what you love and why you love it while cheerfully ignoring everything else.

They used to lock people like that up. I suppose they ran out of room and in the end gave them the internet instead.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Tell me about it. You wouldn't believe the hits I got when I googled your name!

best regards, larry mac

p.s., Hampton Inns are the bomb!
Most of those are actually ME....lol

Some aren't, though.

As to the topic....people are this way everywhere, even in real life. It's a daily occurrence that my mother only hears part of what I'm saying before running off out of context with it and smashing me with her judgment.

Some of us are that way some of the time, others only some of the time. NO ONE is that way NONE of the time.

I can't believe how upset people get over other people's words when those words aren't actively offensive. Can't we save a little outrage for the really outrageous things so we don't use it all up frivolously?

If people aren't understanding exactly what you're trying to say, stop and reword it and try again to get your idea across....rinse, later, repeat until it works. In the meantime, forgive humanity for being human and recognize when other people are just enjoying your company in a thread and playing around, even if they aren't giving you the information that you're seeking. If nothing else they're keeping your thread afloat and unburied in the forum. And some more of us aren't trying to be jerks about it. We're just the way we are.

Agreed.

I find it very hard to get upset about anything on a forum... It's merely letters on a screen. But of course, being a Day Tripper located in the Sky with Diamonds helps.:D

OK. Another aspect to the REAL answer (meaning jokes aside)...

1) A lot of people aren't necessarily frequent social-internet users. They are new vapers. But don't necessarily spend a lot of time posting on forums elsewhere.
2) A lot of posts are long and it's easy to miss questions
3) New people have a hard time asking questions about stuff they don't yet understand
4) It's the internet
5) It's the "ADHD generation" (I don't mean that offensively, so sorry to those suffering from it)....short sound bites, sort quips, short posts, insta-answers, information at fingertips...the "take your time and read/write slowly" thing has gone by the wayside.
6) Stuff like this:
snip.....

i guess people either can't read, are dumb, trolling, or posting for no reason whatsoever (just to get their post count up i guess)

i only bring this up, because it seems to happen more here, than just about any other forum i have been on. seem like an epidemic on ecf for some reason.
is wrong on several levels. And ECF is one of the most polite, well administered forums out there.
7) Sometimes users just make innocent mistakes. Or lose track because they are actually reading all the posts!

Sure there's fanboi's and shills. But mostly, it's a very supportive well intended community. Until you call the whole a large part of the forum membership trolls. Then your thread goes south.

Anyone notice how angry the new members are recently? Like REALLY angry?
People just need to relax and stop taking the internets so seriously.

... And buy a Provari.

lol. I like the way you think. Just mention the word Provari on this forum and it begins.:D
Don't you MAKE me pull out the dancing gorillas again.

Ahhh, the voice of reason appears with eloquent words. Well said, my friend.:)

p.s. I can now head to the Irish Pub with a clear mind. Have a great night all.

Reminds me of a favorite saying we used to laugh about in our raving days:

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."
- Kristin Wilson, Nintendo, Inc., 1989.

I'm offended that my other post wasn't considered reason.

I think I'll be outraged frivolously.
