I suspect that there's a lot of stealth marketing that goes on here. There's no way to tell shills from fanboys.
The e-cig industry has an interest in pushing disposable products like battery mods and cartos.
I see this sometimes:
burnt taste, flooding, leaking? You should be using prodict X instead.
burnt taste, flooding, leaking with product X? You're doing something wrong.

I actually would not have posted as much on the topic about Provari except for two reasons. I used a bunch of stuff before getting the Provari. I wish I had not listened to the people trying to steer me away from it. The advice I got was not that good, I have tried other things. When I got it my desk top solution was found.

That was not enough, after learning to appreciate a Provari...that took ten minutes. I saw people posting it was too complicated (where does that one come from) that it didn't have features, that people that own them are automatically fanboys so if I am going to get stuck with a label I might as well use it.

Agreed.

I find it very hard to get upset about anything on a forum... It's merely letters on a screen. But of course, being a Day Tripper located in the Sky with Diamonds helps.:D

I get upset once in awhile, when I do I sometimes through a Provari at something, it works after you throw it but sometimes it makes a mess of other things like walls, windows, and furniture.

I never understood people's infatuation with their post count. Who CARES how many times they post?

Hell, my internet post count must be in the zillions by now....lol

I have always assumed that avatar is you. I saw a post and now I don't know. Is that you or some actress that I have never heard of. :)

That avatar does not look like she is even a trillion seconds old.

Gong to so some simple multiplication.

Lets see, 60 seconds in a minute, (I wonder why time was not done in base 10?) 60 x 60 = 3600 seconds in an hour. 3600 x 24 = 86,400 seconds in a day. 86,400 x 365 = 31,536,000 seconds in a year. Heck we are not even close to 100 million seconds yet. :)

In ten years we reach 315,360,000 seconds. Hey a billion is quite a ways off. :)

In 100 years we are at 3,153,600,000 Well, at least in 100 years we break 3 billion.

Zoe, I don't think you have even a trillion posts yet. Heck in a thousand years we have barely broken 30 billion seconds. You a are not dust yet. Now how is it that you want do define a zillion? It is a number that you kind of get to decide on the size. :p

Was the journey for you more expensive than the Provari and Reo as well?

The fact is, both those devices are good, solid machines for consistent vaping, provided one is using an equally consistent delivery system. You DO save money in the long run after the initial investment, there's no two ways about it. This is true in North America where it might not work as well in Europe if anything WERE to go wrong. While both companies that make the products back them up completely, there is the whole shipping thing that needs to be considered in that situation.

I haven't purchased anything equivalent that is based in Europe or Asia. I don't know about those devices and I wouldn't dismiss them if people loved them. I'm sure they have their reliable workhorses, too, because there's a definite market for them. If I see one that makes me drool I'm likely to buy one just because I'm a dorky magpie collector of vape things that I won't need....lol Other people will buy them because they are awesome and fill THEIR needs. We all have different tastes and our geographical locations can have a profound effect on what makes the most sense to own.

This isn't even going into the special stuff you can do on fancier, sportier devices. That's a whole other animal and the devices in that category range from complete and utter crap to vaping excellence.

One of the things that bothers me on this forum is that people who don't care for devices like the ProVari like to try to pretend that people who love them portray them as the crème de la crème of the vaping world. They're not. They're just wonderfully good at their respective niches that they fill. That's awesome and that's what the "fanboys" of the ProVarinati appreciate about them.

The best way to decide on what will work for you as an individual is to do your own research by checking out the homes of the devices themselves here on ECF and see what the users are saying about them THERE. That's where they will discuss issues they're having and solutions to those issues and everything thing else a prospective owner would need to know.

Don't listen to the people trying to tear something else down when there isn't any need to. Listen to those who are correcting the misinformation and who seem to continue to be happy with their purchases and are STILL happy with them for a significant time after owning them.

Oh, and remember that sometimes someone just spouting out "Get a ProVari" is just joking because the anti-ProVari threads tend to be the most fun after a while...lol

I think it depends on the situation. For example, a person gave a price range and a bunch of features they wanted. Although over the OPs price, the features fit the ProVari the best, so that is what I recommended. It is not inaccessible, just might need to save a bit more money before making a purchase.

Sometimes you cannot meet all of the criteria. Giving other devices or ideas give the OP more to look at, and maybe some choices they didn't know about.

There was a thread the other day the guy didn't smoke much and vaped on and off and asked people for cheap and cheerful vaping solutions. At least two people told him to buy a Provari and proceeded to go into great detail about their personal collections and experiences with their Provari, like the OP gives a flying ....... what's in their collections.

The guy who posted earlier about people glancing at the thread and rushing to reply without knowing or caring what they're replying to is spot on. It's a disease people catch off the internet. Health authorities have yet to find a cure though I have found putting the offenders into a large box and throwing away the key to be very effective.

There was something I was always heard over and over again growing up from many people. "I am too poor to buy cheap" I have come to understand that and found that it is generally true. You tend to also judge things you have not done. You yourself have claimed to be new to all of this and posted after you said you first experienced a variable device.

In a way trolls begat trolls. Honestly some of the Provari stuff that happens out here would not happen near as much if the Provari owners got kicked a little bit less. In spite of what you think they are very good devices and if I had not listened to people suggesting go cheap I would have more money today.

You probably gained knowledge trying to make the other devices work properly that you wouldn't have today, though. That has to be worth SOMETHING.

People are going to be people are going to be people. We can't change what others say or do. We can only control our OWN behaviors.

I have changed, I try and find the best I can that fits my usage because it is cheaper. :)

Learning to sift through what others are saying and digging for the gems of workable information while not worrying about the chaff is also a feat that must be learned or one will get very upset very often...lol

Fortunately, with a little practice, it's easy to learn to roll with it.

Well, go tell Patsy that is simply not her shade of lipstick. It's so strong it makes her look positively black and white.
Hey, she deliberately dressed in black and white to make the lipstick pop...lol

Actually, I keep meaning to redo that pic. I did it in Paint *cringes* when I was stuck using my mother's laptop while waiting for the parts of my new computer to arrive and I had no access to my Adobe Suite. It's an awful job.
