This sounds like too many fishy inquiries but I'll answer some of them. I smoked since age 12. I'm pushing 41. 2-4 packs a day.

Do I feel better? Hell yes. Tons more energy.

Would I ever go back to analog cigs? Hell no. I would go cold turkey before I would ever light up again.

Do I worry about what I am ingesting in terms of the ecig? If I worried about that, I never would have started smoking analogs in the first place. This is a safer alternative.

Will I ever totally quit ecigs? I doubt it but I may eventually give up nicotine all together. However, I enjoy vaping. Damn I love my Twisted Danish Cinnamon Roll that I'm vaping right now as I type this.

Bottom line is ecigs are alot safer than analog cigs. Any test you do on any of the chemicals will in no way compare to the dangers of analog cigarettes. I have not had any physical issues as far as vaping goes other than I can breathe, smell, and taste better. That is a valued improvement over what I used to feel like.

Hey doc,
How many people have you treated for "Water Intoxication" and how many patients have you lost from it? You don't speak like any doctor I have ever dealt with. Where do you practice?

I can be rude and I am sure i can insult 100 times better than you if I chose to, but i wont do that because of my respect to myself and to the people who read this and this forum, not for u and you don't speak like anyone i am interested to talk to anyway . if u go back and read what i said u will understand what me and others talking about and here thebuss for example started attacking then ended respecting it.
when i say we i dont mean medical organization or medical union or whatever , i mean myself and my friends who are in the same position and dont know much about this e cig in clinical settings and i am not against it Again.
I didnt ask you to tell me what signs/symptoms/positive and negatives in ur health since u started smoking it . because i dont need ur answer or argument.
I asked vapors who don't mind saying what positives and negatives e cig brought to their lives who are sincere and honest and don't mind sharng their opinion about the difference it made in their life without asking any personal questions.
I don't care much for people who criticized and have nothing good to come out of their mouth or text.
people who like this post and want to talk about their experience with the e cig are welcome to respond and people like you who want to attack please find something else to do .
Thanks to All respectful Vapors in this forum and please don't attack me just for trying to get better understanding.

notes to the dr...I got an e-cig 5 weeks ago. I have been able to go from 2 PAD to 5 a day. That makes me happy. I have smoked since I was less than 10 and learned to inhale at 12. I quit once, when my youngest was 1 because she has asthma, I smoked with both my pregancies. I know, I know...It is what it is...

The vaping seems to be a way out...BF sez I snore less, house smells better, I do to...I spend less..I feel better.

I do not hack up a lung in the AM, my skin looks better, my eyes dont water all day.

Like when I tried Phin/fin to lose weight....no side effects, and then there were some...I was happy with the weight loss. I am happy with vaping!

oshnblu

thanks a lot for sharing :) i am happy for you too :)

Sami, it is far easier to outline if you outline your points, like I have.

1. PG: I am concerned because.... etc.

When just making broad sweeping concerns it is not well received because it is not fact. Refine your concerns.

With respect to doctors, I think most are well trained. Unfortunately that is part of the problem. They are "trained". Would a reasonable person prescribe 98% of the pharmaceutical drugs prescribed today? I strongly suggest they would not. The entire industry is detrimental to most people, at best, in my view. This is the very reason that almost all "approved" drugs have 50% of their ad as "warnings".

I am so happy that u are feeling better and that u feel ur health improved in may aspects and yes I started to feel better about it since i didn't see any major concern or side effect tell this moment, from vapors who stopped regular cigs and start vaping, but still I would love to keep hearing from u how things go and I hope ur posts will be all the time positive and without any concern.
tell they come up with a big controlled study i would still love to hear ur positives and negatives about it
Thanks for sharing and I wish u the best health

Guys,
What is the big drama?? Sami is asking some general questions for his own info and his own studies. I would have thought it is really simple.... instead of having a go at him, if you don't think he's authentic don't answer his questions or don't respond to this thread?

Thank you very very very much maxy , thats what i was trying to tell them all along, I am not against it, I DONT HAVE AGENDA, I JUST WANT TO UNDERSTAND IT, I WANT TO KNOW IF THEY DEVELOPED SOME SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS THAT RELATED TO IT OR NOT RELATED AS THEY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DIFFERENTIATE, SO I GAIN BETTER UNDERSTANDING AND THEY CAN GAIN BETTER KNOWLEDGE ABOUT IT.

You're welcome Doc!! If you have a look around at other threads you'll find that the majority of people are really lovely and friendly. I'm not sure what happened with this thread maybe some people just haven't had their Weetbix for breakfast yet :p

Sami, here is vaping. They feel better, much better, but they spend money on all kinds of crap.

That is basically 100% of the data derived from here.

TheBuss try to bear with me , I am concerned not only about propylene glycol alone or VG alone or flavors or nicotine at this point, these gonna be facts in medical journals and papers sooner or later.
I understand how u look at it and i understand that u think PG dosing is the only think that they should study in depth, But MY Dear Friend I am concerned about the over all vaping process in clinical settings as signs and symptoms (physical or psychological).
I know some vapors will say things that not relevant or they may have some paranoia but i am not naive, I would love for All vapors to be healthy and stay healthy , I am not against anyone here.
I told u before that the number of vapors we see in clinical settings are nothing close to the number here , thats why i asked about the well being, negatives, positives, signs and symptoms can be related to e cigs.
I am much more concerned about the clinical setting TheBuss and for ur concern about the PG dosing and effect I cant and no one can asnwer your question without a big study, you know that.
I hope we came in the same page now
Thanks

Vaping process? This is not relevant medically, in my view. You are inhaling ingredients. You are not changing their composition.

Therefore, the only issue is whether what is inhaled is absorbed and safe - not the process of inhaling. The entire premise of examining that is not logical, in my view.

Again, if anything was NOT absorbed, this would be a big concern. If the composition changed this would be a BIG concern. Neither is the case.

Anyone can believe what they like. But the entire concern of vaping is complete nonsense, in my personal estimation. There is exactly zero evidence, of any kind, that it is harmful. Could it be? Possible.

Just my two cents here but...I had my husband (a medical doctor board certified in occupational and environmental medicine) read over "Dr" Sami's posts. In his opinion, these posts are not being written by a medical doctor. The grammar could be attributed to an ESL (english second language) problem, but as a rule, he has found that most foreign doctors are generally fluent in english, especially in the written form. His questions and responses, however, are not typical of any medical personel my husband has ever interacted with over his 40 years as a practicing physician. And some of "Dr Sami's" questions, would be common knowledge to any medical doctor.

As an MD, he would have easy access to the many studies regarding nicotine and PG. He either has not read those studies or he is not an MD. (FYI, PG is used in many hospital ventilation systems for bacteria control. Doubtful they would use it if there were much chance it was harmful, particularly given the presence of critically ill patients and infants).

That said, there is no way for any of us to know for sure given the anonymous environ of the internet. It is merely one physician's opinion. At the very least, I would remain skeptical. I have no idea of what his agenda might be, but it might be prudent to parse your responses with wording that won't come back to haunt us if repeated out of context.

thats just too much to handle , tell your 40 years practicing physician that he is wrong, and tell him to poin his resources about e cigs , i know where to get more info about nicotine and PG and VG, and believe me i am way much better in english than many other IMGs but of course cant be compared to a native speaker.
beside tell ur 40 years practicing physician to answer my questions based on the clinical cases he saw and based on the labs and scans he follow, i think if he doubt me being a physician after reading my posts then for sure I doubt ur husband is in the medical field at all .
and again I DON'T HAVE AGENDA , and hey tell ur husband to name some books or papers published about e cigs and i will be grateful.

thanks

Get more info on nicotine? What are you talking about? There is almost universal acceptance with nicotine medical experts that it is not detrimental. Period. Why I said on the first page of this thread that the entire thing was complete nonsense.

If these people are having vaping effects the vast majority, if not all, are either psychosomatic or allergenic. Period.

Thanks for All of you Guys who responded in respect and i wish u the best.
I think I am done with This Thread, (Too Much Drama )
for those who love to criticize and judge people in a rude way, I think you should look at yourselves in the Mirror,
its amazing how few negative people can turn something good to something bad or cut the way of goodness because of their diseased souls.

Goodbye and peace for All

Thank you, Salliezoo!!..and I thank your husband for taking the time to give an educated observation. I also feel this "dr. Sami" is no such thing. We as vapors, need to be cautious before doing or saying anything that may be used out of context to hurt our right to continue vaping. As we all know, there are cases pending (e.g. Njoy vs FDA, NYS Clean air act hearings, et al) that seek to either curtail, or place an outright ban on ecigs.

We can only hope and pray that clearer heads prevail, so when the dust settles, vaping will be recognized and approved as a valid reduced harm alternative to analogs...because that's exactly what it is!!!
At this point in time, anyone who says otherwise is either misinformed or has a hidden (or not so hidden!) agenda, and sami seems to be placing a negative slant on vaping that a true MD would not.
