Awesome ! So its vaping good and tasting good now ? Make sure to keep wicks wet and airholes in front of coils and you should be golden.

Building better coils will come with time and so will making right size wicks.Im super happy for you that its working better :) If you want something to use for wrapping coils to make it easier go to Reo forum and find Darkzero. He sells coil wrapping jig to make it easier .

Pic of setup if you can man !

sry just got off work give me a little while i will post pic i went back with the silica because i could not get the cotton through the coils it seems to be working alot better but occasional very light silica taste im wondering if the 2mm silica is to small maybe i should try 3mm

Silica is more challenging than cotton ball wick.

how is that emus? and tbh its very hard to get the cotton through the coil i tried for about 30 minutes last night the only thing i can get out of this is maybe im running to hot and the liquid is not soaking fast enough

Thin 30% VG wicks fast vs 60%+ VG wicks slow.

Perhaps you can post some picks of your wick and we can see issue.

Sorry to keep posting these pics but maybe you can get an idea of my wick density.

See how his cotton ends are twisted tight to slip thru coil and whole wick is fluffy. You want it not to thick because the cotton will expand a lot and wick better when wet. Twist ends tight and slide thru then pull till its able to slide in with out being super loose or so tight that it pulls on coil .I DIY too and no issues with 80vg.

Just got my Z atty emus this thing is a beast ! No provari for it yet still waiting on it .Threw it on a Twist LOL 12 wraps 28 gauge with cotton wick and was vaping great.Coil needs to come up a little to have full air flow but other than that looks and vapes great :)

Z atty is nice because I can remove tank with out touching coil to pull the cotton down .Best part is friend on here hooked me up with it for $50 vs $140 new cant beat that !

Just twsit up end very thin then slip it thru.Part you slip thru should be like needle thin to slip in and rest of wick not so tight .Just tight enough to make contact with the coils. On mine I can remove tank like I said to feed thru wick holes but on yours just slip in thru top and pull out thru bottom of coil and then use something thin to push rest of wick into the holes.
