Spoke to Chris re Mesh
1 Meter by 1.2 Meters =£90 cash at the gate
I asked him why it was so expensive when he seemed to have it cheaper on ebay.co.uk

Chris said the Ebay is Superfine at 270 holes per linear Inch
I said the listing desciption stated 400 - Chris said this was a mistake and would change it - Which he has
The bottom line seems to be that there is high demand for the 25 micron 400 stainless steel woven mesh, and not much discount to be had.
i would be interested to hear from those ordering an A4 400 mesh from the company - was the free Super fine the same as a 400 ordered or was it a Superfine 270 - and does this work as a wick?

When i purchased mine a while back for another mod, my free sheets were the same as what I originally ordered.
When I ordered it was take 2 get 1 free, and I had #325 and #400 for 4.99 each and I got 2 of each for a total of 4 A4 sheets costing $25.03 shipped.
It sounds to me like with the pricing change and the light discount for bulk ordering, the co-op for mesh isn't so attractive, especially if they still throw in free sheets.

There certainly has been a price change - others have documented that - The question I'm asking is - before when you got a free sheet it was the 400 mesh - Is that still the case?
No way to really know, but I would think they wouldnt send you something you may not need. If you order one type, and they send you a free sheet of a different type...might be a waste.....just assuming of course.
Mine shipped yesterday , so as soon as I get it I will let you guys know.
Quite uniformly they send free sheets according to what you ordered.

I looked for Kanthal at McMaster-Carr. However, I didn't find any and believe they do not stock Kanthal.
The link for the Kanthal that I ordered from ebay is in the other thread, "parts list" link. It's $4.50 and the total was $6.50 after shipping.
McMaster-Carr does carry NiChrome wire, however it is too expensive and I would use the link that Dan provided if you want NiChrome wire.

Did I glance over a post that said they got a free sheet that was different then what they ordered?
No, they were just curious if it was the same kind, or a random free sheet.
Just in case you guys did not see I got the PayPal $$ in and the parts have been ordered!

Thank you for your effort tillis. I am sorry that the mesh cannot be gotten at a better price, but we all really appreciate your efforts none the less. I think the only way any of this makes sense is if somone bites the bullet, puts together a kit for some nominal fee, and offers it in the classifieds. At least we explored the possibilities.
