That seriously good, long-term vaping would require a lot of research, purchase, and comparison. And it's worth it. One can easily stick with a simple approach to simplify things, but why? Okay, it would be cheaper. But beyond that, the whole process has been, for me, both interesting and fun. Okay, and a little frustrating. But I'm easily pleased.

Wish I'd known THEN, though. No big deal, but I think I could have approached the first six months more wisely. Too much ping-ponging and wasted time and money even if the ride was a total gas! :2cool:

Yes, Jeffree, this vaping thing is a "learning along the way" great journey. My friends and family look at my vaping stash and laugh--I tell them, "Go ahead and laugh but also realize each piece of this inventory signifies another step away from tobacco." So, yes, it has become a hobby. A quest for finding the perfect pv, the perfect juice. But I'm with you--it is a fun ride and I can't wait for the next leg of this trip.

Jeff. I can't agree more! The stupid mods, the juice, DIT fails, the 901 with all the replacement batts and atty's! Not to mention the people I set up that have yet to quit smoking! Oh the excuses and the promises..I wish I had started at V4L sooner..well 10 days after I started I bought V4L juices. The batts and cartos were latter.

Hindsight is always 20/20 Jeffree sir. The struggles early on though are not without purpose... By having to try so many different combinations of batt types, nic strength, flavors, etc. it really helps keep your mind occupied and off the analogs... :)

Yah ... from day one, I was so immersed in searching for vaping "perfection" that I gave no thought to analogs. And the knowledge gained by my mistakes will save me money the rest of my life.

Jeffree, sir, you are sooooooo right. Research is definitely what led me to V4L, and quitting analogs totally ;-) I found this forum, lurked for several weeks, decided V4L was the way for me to go. Did have to spend some time - fun time, I admit - in finding my perfect vape, but V4L products helped me quit within the 1st week!

I know what you mean Jeffree good sir. I look back at so many flavors, batts and cartos from venders I will never use. However every thing I learned helps me when helping people who are curious about vaping. I have reliable places to send them and good advice to give them(a lot of which was gained here). Well worth the price.

You are in good company!! At times, the learning curve was steep and expensive, but I passed the one year mark on April 20. Never thought that would happen after 30+ years of 1.5 packs a day of Marlboro Reds.

After much prodding from my side, I managed to get one of my golf buddies to try e cigs. I had a bunch of 510 manual mega batteries that were sitting in my drawer occupying space. My thought was to give him the 510's and a charger and have him order some pre-filled and blank cartos along with some juice rather than introduce him to dripping or atomizers with carts. I have only DIY juices which I like, but the object was to get him a broad spectrum of stuff which was readily available on the marketplace. I do not even use tobacco flavors any longer.

So he came over to my house, and I explained how everything worked. Now, this man is anything but a dummy. He has a Masters in Chemical Eng and was chief engineer at a world famous food company. I have taught at the graduate school level and have two Master's myself. My teacher ratings were always at the top. Yet, one could not miss the look of bewilderment on his face when we went on line to a major vendor: dozens of flavors, carts, cartomizers, batteries, accessories, etc.

A novice is going to have a hard time with the e cig. It takes real perseverance and motivation. Mine was not even caused by health reasons: I am fit a a fiddle, take NO medications whatsoever, have a constant 120/80 blood pressure, a 132 cholesterol, but I am a widower. My motivation came from our daughter who wanted my quitting smoking as her gift for her master's. She did not want to loose both parents. My golf buddy has some serious health issues and has tried everything under the sun to quit, but to no avail.

I honestly do not think that the e cig is for everyone.

I quit cigarettes on August 19th, 2010 and don't regret it. The only thing I regret is not having found ECF in the first month. I spent loads of money on products that worked mediocre. 2 months in, I made the mistake of ordering V4L's 5ml bottles and was totally turned off by the flavors so I steered clear until 1 month ago. I ordered some pre-filled cartomizers due to a hand injury that made dripping hard for me. I love, love, love, them now. I have since ordered a bunch of blanks and juice. I never knew that a kr808 was that good. I have always been a mod lover.

Now, if I could stop myself from buying all the new stuff coming out, I would eventually start saving money....in about 5 years...LOL.

The best thing was that from day 1 I felt better and now I am in better health. In the almost 1 year since I quit after my first ecig which will remain unnamed, I haven't been sick or gone to the doctor. Before that I would have bronchitis or pneumonia at least once a year, sometimes with hospitalization. V4L has been a major part of my journey and I have led many to drink from V4L's fountain with great results. This is a great thread!:vapor::vapor:

Agreed.I quit smoking analogs after the first day of vaping.I could probably open my own store with my vaping experiments. and yet I still have saved more money vaping than smoking. Epic Win.

I too was one of the lucky ones and started with V4L and I was saving money after only about a couple of months. Fortunately I stumbled into this place and learned a lot right off. Then started refilling and the whole 9 yards. Trying different flavors is a love/hate sort of thing. LOL, when you hate one then you have this juice... but then... another day you try it and WOW, you now love it.
