how are your tcr numbers with the Ti coils? are you using the custom preset or are you just using the Ti preset?

I'm curious as well, I just built a spaced T1 coil & tried the Ti mode. Now I'm playing with TCR, temp protect comes on & I can feel it throttling back which I'd rather avoid.

The temp protect will come on with these but thats how they work. YiHi is a whole different method but I think if you try TCR375 and 450 degrees and then just adjust your temp to taste. Don't worry about the temp protect coming on mine comes on about every 2 seconds or so but that is just the chip trying to set the power but stay around 20-25 watts. Now that is depending on your build also. I use a single coil 26awg 3mm .3ohms if you are using duals or something with more wire you might need a little more power but don't make the mistake of using too much power or your tp will be on all the time.

After hearing about bad soldering, bad wires e. t. c., I took mine completely apart and did not discover anything terribly wrong. Just normal Chinese stuff: Hot glue, sticky tape, cheap wires and overheated soldering. I didn't do much. Just re-soldered wires on board and put it back together. But I did not have any of the problems, people are describing here, to beguin with.

I chose not to rely on RX200 balanced USB charging port and use my SKYRC B6AC V2 Charger with a little balance cradle I made for it. It's been working fine for me.

Do you see a spring on the 510 pin. I don't believe it is spring loaded.

It has a spring! Someone in this thread already posted pictures of it taken apart when he replaced the 510 connector. I think he replaced it with a FatDaddy or something similar.

you might need a little more power but don't make the mistake of using too much power or your tp will be on all the time.

Maybe Fish will say what power he's using, but I was going to touch on this aspect you mentioned.

I've never used the high ends, but I'd guess they have a much greater ability to see the set temp coming and throttle back early so as to not overshoot.
If our budget mods can do that at all that is.

I try to set watts to get me there in a reasonable ramp-up time... not just bang to temp immediately.
Too much power and you end up "porpoise-ing" around the set temp, instead of just bumping off of it repeatedly.

Yes... seeing "Temp Protect" flash on and off is normal. Massive throttling should not be.

Fun stuff TC. :p

Yeah these are my first mods that do TC like this and the DNA the YiHi is a whole different Kettle of Fish. Took me a while to realize it's not a bad thing to hit TP once in a while but still need to moderate the wattage to get a good vape. The YiHi you can crank it up but then you get the rattlesnaking. I use about 15-17J and hits temp in about a sec or 2 and doesn't get so much rattlesnake. The ML is a little better then the M but really the vape is very close. I would like to get 1 Q also just to see but not till some reviews come out. I got lucky and got in on the big sale on the ML but I should have ordered 2 really nicely built and the most solid so far. I really want to see how the Q and the IPV5 is. also the SX Pure. Interesting stuff coming. I sure have seen alot of bad about the Cuboid though. I almost ordered one, I wanted to get some good quality reasonably priced TC mods and the VTCmini really fits the bill for me. The RX does well also but not exactly a carry around type.

And I agree with what you are saying about the power. I see some of the guys cranking them up to 75 or 80W and wondering why they hit TP so fast. Yeah Fishwater thats what you have to do it seems as though the different atties are different too. I only use the STM anymore but want to try the SX Pure after some reviews come out. I kind of got away from the high end atties because the STM performs so well.
