Dumb question about the board. Will it only support 3 batteries in series? I'm wondering whether a squonk conversion is possible, 2 batteries wired in parallel.

The batteries are in series and I don't know if it would work with only two but I doubt it. The circuit would think the battery level was way too low.

PS - it also test for the balance of all three batteries.

Two strikes against the thought. Thanks. Guess that's why @Subohmies swapped in a DNA200 board so it could be programmed for two batteries.

Not saying your not right but I've read the Istick 100 uses the same board, also read it's parallel? Perhaps it's like the SX350j board and can be run either single, series or parallel? IDK for sure but a thought.

Yes, both the old and new iStick 100s are parallel. Not sure if the new one is the same chip as RX200 with different power, but will look into it.

You got me Vlad,

All I know for sure is mine are all wired in series and have a separate wire to each battery for balance checking. It might work but it would take a lot of wiring changes to just test it. And you would have to figure out a resistive divider to fool the balance sense circuit into believing that there are still three batteries and that they are all of equal charge.

Yea it would probably take a little wire rerouting (if it's possible) but if it were being turned into a squonk box that wouldn't be much more work on the power delivery circuit. As for the balance charge circuit, that would take a little more knowledge than I have. Personally I wouldn't charge in the device and would use an external charger instead if it were a project I was going to do. :) Another 5-6 days before they even process my order then probably another month until I receive it. If I had it here I'd put a couple battery blanks in just to see if it would run at lower voltages or not.

Cool. I submitted my feedback about their terrible 510 on the RX200.
Did the same lol. I also mentioned more color options and bigger screen. I'd love some software like escribe as well. Nothing as in-depth but it would be nice to customize the screen: colors, fonts, change the screen for check atomizer, etc.

For me, a better 510 is the one that will put it in my personal 'Hall of Fame'.
Just today, I was vaping happily going down the turnpike, suddenly no vape.
I looked and the New/Old question was on the screen. I know better, but I foolishly chose New.
Nastiest drag I've ever had on any device at any time. Really burned and quite hot.
Nice driving without anything to vape until everything cooled down and I did the tank off, fire button, tank on drill.
Even then, I was leery of it the rest the way home.
Two lessons from this.
1. I've said this device is a homebody, yet took it out on the road today.
2. Don't leave home without a backup tank and device.

Improved 510 for President!

It may or may not be a 510 issue. I believe if it goes to deep sleep it will check the coil upon startup and if it is higher than it remembers (still warm/hot for instance) it will ask new/same. IMO best way to alleviate this is to lock it in and it will never ask new/same. Just remember to unlock when you change attys.

one of the selling points to me is NO escribe like software to mess with :p
It's not like you'd have to use it. I don't think the RX200 needs anything in regard to monitoring your vape or changing the TCR and things like that. I'd just like something to use to make custom screens, change the screen color, etc. It doesn't seem like that would be too difficult to implement.

Not really true. You kind of have to use it at least once in order to set the mod up properly.
