The battery voltages the rx200 shows are way off though. It tends to show much more voltage difference than what the batteries are actually at.

I agree with that, but having confirmed a >0.2 Volt difference in one cell with a Voltmeter multiple times, charging via the mod, it isn't "way off" in the sense that it shows completely different Energy readings for just one cell, while the other two are consistent.
....At least in my case. Hardware is version 1.3, updated by manufacturer to software version 3.0, with its box sealed.

Ballpark is better than being out of the stadium..

But it's best to have meters in our line of "work.":)

Thank you for that...I should've looked into it and confirmed.

I don't deserve my tags...take them away from me.

:)Thank you again for clarifying that.:)

edit- and I tried inserting **actually didn't do that, going to a link from google "ecf pif," but it took me to the forum...** a link to the PIF forum, but it wasn't saying it existed...:/ don't know what's up with that. I'm going to try to re-paste yours and see if it happens again.

editedit-hmmm..yeah, I don't know what happened. + **blahblahblah**
..keeps me honest.:)

Hey guys! So I got my batteries and tank today (super excited) and I've started to charge my batteries through the RX200. The three batteries are reading currently at 3.67, 3.54, 3.67. Is a 0.13 volt difference substantial enough to warrant caution of using the device until I can properly rotate them to achieve matched voltages? (Also, I've only started to charge it. They were at 1/4th upon popping them in.)

To mark them, it's fine to write 1, 2, and 3 on them with sharpie, correct?

and I used the on board charger for the first month, since I was testing it out. I didn't experience any issues, but I wouldn't advise it, but in theory the mod should refuse to fire if the batteries go out of balance more then .2

I've been reading up for awhile now and from what I've read as long as the batteries are within 4% of the lowest voltage battery, then no additional heat will be generated and it'll be fine (I will be buying an Efest Luc asap though and another set of batteries for overall longer battery & mod life). The batteries have been charging for 6 in a half hours and they're reading 3.93, 3.86, and 3.93 with a 2 amp charger. 4% of 3.86 is 0.15 and they're only currently reading a 0.7 difference so I believe I will be completely fine using the on-board charging for 2 weeks before buying an external charger.

P.S. The RX200 won't fire if the voltages of the batteries are out of balance by .3 or more.
P.S.S. Thank you all for the informative replies and swift help, I really appreciate it :)

Update! I did a full charge cycle with a 2 amp charger; the batteries at the end of the cycle were 4.12, 4.08, 4.10 (after checking again right away they were 4.12, 4.10, 4.12). I re-positioned the batteries three times throughout the charge cycle; the voltage readings have been varying even right after checking and then doing so again. From a 0.04 difference on average, to a max of 0.07, the lowest was 0.02. Right now after taking several tokes they're reading 4.07, 4.00, and 4.04.

They seem to be discharging and charging unevenly, so I'll have to monitor voltage fluctuations after vaping and during charging to find out how exactly to cycle them. As for now however, I am content with them being 0.07 of a difference or less.

I must say, I've tried many people's mods and setups, but I think the RX200 w/ the Uwell Crown blows anything I've tried out of the water as far as clouds and flavor are concerned. I knew beforehand that the Crown is a thirsty one (which is why I bought the 1.2's) but I've been testing out the 0.5 and woahhhh it drinks juice, but that flavor is outstanding! This thing is a true beast, and I'm enjoying it immensely with this combination of mod / tank.

The only question I have left however is regarding how to figure out which battery is which in terms of checking the voltage through the device. It displays three voltage counts, but which is for which cradle, does anyone know? I've been having a difficult time determining this (mostly due to fluctuating voltages that have been confusing me as mentioned above).

That's good! I put my Crown back on the shelf when I got the Geekvape Griffin for my RX...it blows all my subtanks away for clouds and flavor, just sayin :)

I must say that's a mighty fine looking tank.. wish it came in black! That velocity style deck looks like a madman's coil! It may be due to the pictures, but they look huge.

I'm a pretty avid RPG'er and fantasy book lover... that griffin is calling to me. What does RTA stand for though? I'll have to look into that tank, it looks pretty sweet.

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO! Must buy this one; GeekVape | Griffin 25 RTA! I wish they had these when I bought mine! Ya see the only problem with the 22mm Griffin is it just doesn't hold enough juice & I mean that's the ONLY problem I have! I would buy one but I've got a Boreas on order & my wife wouldn't be too happy if I bought another one before I got that one! LOL!:headbang:

The only question I have left however is regarding how to figure out which battery is which in terms of checking the voltage through the device. It displays three voltage counts, but which is for which cradle, does anyone know?

Use an unmarried partialy charged single with two of your fully charged cells and check the voltage as you rotate the single through the sled positions. I haven't done this as mine has been within 0.07v since the beginning, but if you're curious enough to find out... do it.

I knew beforehand that the Crown is a thirsty one (which is why I bought the 1.2's) but I've been testing out the 0.5 and woahhhh it drinks juice, but that flavor is outstanding!

LOL... try the 0.25, around 70-80w.
Two things... one, have a juice bottle at hand. :p
And two... increase the wattage carefully. We may be past it now, but for a while there were plenty of Crown heads out there from their admitted "bad run". They burnt quick. Take care.

What does RTA stand for though?

As said... "Rebuildable Tank Atomiser".
With just a few exceptions... it's a tank with no factory heads, just a build deck.
Those other few make the deck replaceable by coil heads and/or an RBA head,
ie: Aromamizer RDTA. Generally though... just the build deck.

I won't be doing that, not going to put unmarried batteries into my device. The difference has been staying at 0.07 or under.

Oh, I'm sure the dual 0.25 is a massive and thirsty leech!

First... you're not going to hurt anything.

Second... I didn't say, or imply, fire and use the mod that way.
Use the batt voltage readout feature to track the half charged cell through the positions.

I'll simply do that with my married set, as they're all varied by 0.07 or less, and make sure to check the voltage count of it multiple times for an accurate reading. I'll track one of the batteries as I swap between the three cradles. Thank you for the advice, that had slipped my mind :)
