Hello Everyone,

Just got my first RX200 in Black and am amazed at how it looks and feels in the hands. I also bought 3 HG2s, which i've put to charge on a Nitecore D4. It shows they are charging at "375mA" power! Which i have no clue as the charger is brand new also. Till now I've had the Xstar SP2 and have always charged at 0.5A.

I should be good right?

Also while doing research on this device i came across some posts where people mention they messed up their top pin while forcing their attys to sit flush. The first thing i tried was to sit my SubTank Mini onto it but it gets tight towards the end and i'm scared to screw it all the way. While Vengeance fitted well with just a slight resistance at the end.

your ohms are fluctuating outside of the expected parameters. Could be caused by a soft short/hot spot in the coil somewhere, or a lead not tightened secure enough. Did you do a dry fire in wattage mode to look for hotspots?
Yes I did check for hotspots but as soon as I rewick I will double check all my leads & check for hotspots again! So would making spaced coils be better for TC like I did when I was using Ni200? Still loving these SS Claptons even in watts mode! Now I understand what people were talking about "clean" flavor and the little bit of time I got to use TC it was even better! Thank you for your advice!:headbang:

I got away from spaced coils after my days with Ni200 & went to contact coils for TC but after having some struggles with SS on the RX I switched back to spaced coils again. Spaced definitely works better for me, now I use spaced coils in all my builds whether it's for power or TC, dripper or tank, Clapton, micro or macro coils. I say give it a try & see what works best for you!

I prefer space for wick life, but it's nice to not have to worry if there is contact.

Most quality chargers (that includes the Nitecore) will automatically adjust the charging current based on the number of batteries being charged simultaneously. With my Nitecore it takes longer to charge the three batteries for my RX200 than two because the charger steps down the charging current when charging more than two batteries. I guess what I'm saying is - let the charger do it's thing, you'll be fine.

As for the atty/tank not fitting flush - I just tighten mine down onto the RX200 without forcing it. If it sits up a bit I don't worry about that as long as it is tight. I never force anything - bad things tend to happen. :)

So both mine and my wife's Rx200 is giving us issues. The resistance reading is frequently changing and causing the mods to ask if it's a new atomizer or not. She's so annoyed with it that she is thinking of getting a new and different mod. They both have the latest firmware version. Now I've seen where people have replaced the 510. Can anyone that has replaced the 510 confirm that this will resolve the issue?

Thanks.

It happened to me when I was using SS builds. I retightened the post screws and gently nudged the coils a tiny bit and it stopped fluctuating. Are you using RDA, RTA,? What coils?

It's happening on multiple devices. My wife mainly uses a UWELL crown with SS coils. The coils at this time have been replaced multiple times and I've tried my tanks and RDA's on it. So, I'm thinking it's not that. It happens on my crown also and on my rx200. I normally use an rda and have tried fiddling with the coils and post screws to no avail. There doesn't seem to be any logic to it. My coils are typically kanthal but I've run ss and nichrome also. And all have the same issue. Thanks.

I put a little thin stainless steel washer over the 510 connector so I can tighten down the atty fully without abusing the female 510 pin. Works fine for me.

Ok, I know some have issuse and some do not from what I have read. I have only had my RX a couple of days and it has none of the issues that have been talked about but here is the write up on replacing the 510.

Replacing the 510 in an RX200... Fairly easy actually.

Have you tried cleaning the 510?
I had the exact problem a while ago with my VTC mini on temp control which uses the same 510. My coil was 0.51ohm SS 316L, once in a while it would pop up with "new coil 0.56ohm". I took off the tank and removed the battery, used a q-tip with some 99% isopropyl alcohol and swabbed around the 510, the q-tip looked dirty after I was done. Cleaned the 510 off with a tissue, let everything dry. Problem never returned.

From that point on I try to make it a habit to clean the 510 every once in a while.

Cheers Greasegizzard, have dropped the Watts to 65/ 260*c and and getting temp protection after 2-3 sec. Nice vape for me at that setting. I'll get the hang of this vaping eventually with the help from dudes like you. Thanks man
Glad you got it figured out. Now you can pay around with the settings from there and really get it dialed in to where you like it.
