would you start smoking again if you couldn't vape?

Just a theoretical situation. If vaping was banned, would you just quit altogether or go back to smoking? I love vaping and I did it as a means to quit smoking, which has worked, but in a way, I feel like it has increased my addiction and need for 'vaping/smoking'. I find myself wanting to vape and take a hit way more often than I ever wanted to smoke in the past. For example (and this has happened a lot), I'll go out and about and carry a battery or two with me. Sometimes, but not very often, I will run out of battery on my devices and I'll have smoker friends around me and reluctantly light up a smoke. I feel guilty for it but at the same time, I had to have it if I couldn't vape. Maybe I wouldn't smoke AS much if I started again since it doesn't taste good to me, but part of me feels like I'd still need it. So to sum up my question.. if your devices ran out of battery and you were not going to be able to charge them or replace the battery for some time and cigarettes were available, would you smoke again?

The long and short of it for me is...yes. I was completely nicotine free for about 1 month prior to my adventures in vaping and that month wasn't just hell for me but for my family as well. I can't go back to what turned out to be clinical depression so, yes...I would (begrudgingly) go back to analogs.

There is no way I would go back to smoking. First off I have at least a one year reserve of DIY vaping supplies so I could procrastinate making the no-vaping choice for a while. Quitting nicotine doesn't scare me. I've been there. I went to zero nicotine vaping for a month after I broke my leg. It was no biggie.

I doubt that anyone could keep me from vaping zero nic. Glycerin USP and distilled water are not going to be taken off the shelves. On the other hand I wasn't doing much zero nic vaping at the end of my one month experiment with it. There just wasn't much of a point to doing it.

Given the theoretical and instant choice of no vaping or smoking I would not smoke. Three days later I'd feel 100% normal except for carrying a big grudge.

First off; no, I wouldnt go back to analogs. Maybe a good ol' cigar once in a while, but not for regular intake.

The problem with this assumption is that vape banning would prevent vaping. It wont and cant. These are extremely simple devices and can be made with tools just about everyone has or can get at thier local hardware store. The only sad thing is that resistance wire would be an issue. Genesis and RDA's are relatively simple devices that can and most likely will be improvised by DIY'ers.

Juices? I already make my own most of the time; and honestly, not like we cant get juices from where it isnt banned; Canada, Mexico, EU, China. So yeah, I'm not thinking this hypothetical is an even remotely real possibility - even with FDA bans.

Let's put it to you this way; did prohibition rid the country of all the stills producing whiskey?

I'm taking the question as: If all vaping devices and vapors became suddenly non existant, would I go back to smoking. I quit smoking once for a year and a half and went back. Presumably I'd go back to smoking again.

Vaping eliminated the will power that I would have otherwise needed to quit smoking. I have little to no will power or the determination to stay smoke free. I'd probably try to stay away but I doubt I'd hold up.

I hope that answers what I believe to be the heart of the question.

IF, suddenly, every power source, every drop of PG/VG and nic, every inch of nichrome and kanthal and silicone wick, went "POOF"?..

I would revert to smoking.. cigar types though. Hand to mouth is the habit for me...

If Vaping were banned? Everywhere? They can kiss my lily white rear end and see me in court!
