would you start smoking again if you couldn't vape?

The actual question I am trying to ask is how dave1962 and SupplyDaddy phrased it. If all vaping supplies became non-existant or disappeared. It's theoretical of course.. if things you could vape out of and with just didn't exist anymore. There is no back up, alternate method/supply, stash of hidden liquid, coil, RBA's, mods designed for vaping. Truth is, I think a lot of would try to hold out for as long as we could but depending on how addicted/dependent on the habit, a lot might fall back to smoking. Everytime the urge hits, I have my PVs and nicotine juice to turn to. If that weren't there, that 'urge' would still be there with nothing to satisfy it. Nicotine patches and gum don't work for me.. the hand to mouth habit is still there, and I just enjoy the mouth feel of vaping/smoking. Luckily, we don't really have to worry about this since I doubt vaping stuff would just disappear into thin air.

No. I'm done with cigarettes. I used to smoke the occasional cigarette when I'm out drinking, but over the last few months, I haven't had any desire.

I've also cut down on vaping and lowered my nic in half. My goal is to liberate myself from the addiction of nicotine and I feel confident that I'm close.

In a few days I'll have hit the year mark. My goal is to be completely nicotine free by 2015. While I enjoy vaping and am what I would consider a "practical hobbyist," I don't enjoy it enough to continue when I've given up nicotine.

I will also add that as a person who is already terminally ill, long term effects are the least of my worries, I just want to enjoy life, vaping gives me that, so did stinkies. Vaping just does it better, more cleanly, and less offensively.

Ok. Im off the soap box.

I've heard about some people quitting cigs and smoking pipe, which is supposedly not as bad for you. im thinking about even buying a pipe maybe. i only smoked for about a year and was never heavily heavily addicted. so id probaby just smoke pipe, but i might go back to cigs. btw if you still feel like you're missing something. maybe buy WTA liquid. its really expensive, but im considering buying it. I just dont wanna get so dependent on only vaping that and be broke (it equals out to be about as expensive as smoking analogs if you just vape that lol)

Also, I'm not even sure how addicted I even am to nicotine anymore. I don't really get the urge to smoke ever anymore. I do vape out of habit though and that's something I'm not entirely comfortable with.

I also no longer worry about "back ups for back ups." I don't carry extra juice or batteries anymore. I really want to liberate myself and not feel enslaved by any habit.

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: Absolutely

After smoking 2+ packs a day for 15 years... Without vaping, one of two things would happen...

(1) Go back to smoking, and everyone lives.
(2) Don't go back to smoking, and people get randomly choked out in public places.

I don't have a high tolerance for being in public. Especially if that public is anywhere near a shopping area. Might be more harmful for me to go back to smoking, but I feel the public would suffer less.

Before I started doing studio work with country bands, I quit smoking for a year, and only did the occasional black and mild when I was drunk, or stressed. Then it slipped back into a pack plus a day, just because all the guys went out to smoke all the time. So, I would do black and milds for a while, and go right back to smoking.

Ok let me rephrase. If you had NO back ups, no means to charge or replace your stuff and there was no more e-liquid and only a pack of smokes was available.

Funny, I actually went through this this weekend....

Took my spinner figured since it's only 1 night it'd be okay. Ended up staying the whole weekend and my spinner died on Sunday. Charger broke. Pretty much a terrible day.

Was offered a cigarette a few times, but I REFUSED TO GIVE IN. Safe to say I was in a dark place, but even that wasn't enough to get me back to analogs.

I never realized how strong I am until that happened.

It's extremely unlikely vaping will be banned, but having to buy it at exorbitant prices with Big Tobacco's 600+ chemical cocktail is essentially the same thing to me.

I have three heirloom quality, owner-rebuildable, mechanical mods with spare parts and two good RBAs each for them. Even though it will still be available, I probably have a lifetime supply of resistance wire and organic cotton balls. As long as there are flashlights, there will be batteries.

Most importantly, I probably have enough nic base in the freezer my heirs will get some. At my age, that's not as much as it sounds. Tractor Supply will still carry PG, and Wal-Mart and Krogers, VG, but I have some anyway since I DIY. There will be plenty of nice, used vaping hardware for pennies on the dollar from those who don't hoard nic. If you buy any, just be careful not to let them discover your identity and hence where your nic stash resides, or you may have a burglary.

I came to vaping very much addicted to the nicotine in pipes and cigars, never planning not to smoke my stash. I don't inhale into my lungs like I did for decades with cigarettes. I got by for years at one time on dip and chew, so if I lost all my vaping stash, I'd use Swedish snus. I do now in lieu of stealth vaping.

If the politicians made vaping illegal i would be forced breaking said laws, and I would be trying to make my own nic base from a diy tobacco extraction process. Failing at that, I would be forced to go back to smoking those nasty stinking cigarettes again.

I would make it my goal to make my family understand what misguided political party was responsible for shortening my life.
