would you start smoking again if you couldn't vape?

Just a theoretical situation. If vaping was banned, would you just quit altogether or go back to smoking? I love vaping and I did it as a means to quit smoking, which has worked, but in a way, I feel like it has increased my addiction and need for 'vaping/smoking'. I find myself wanting to vape and take a hit way more often than I ever wanted to smoke in the past. For example (and this has happened a lot), I'll go out and about and carry a battery or two with me. Sometimes, but not very often, I will run out of battery on my devices and I'll have smoker friends around me and reluctantly light up a smoke. I feel guilty for it but at the same time, I had to have it if I couldn't vape. Maybe I wouldn't smoke AS much if I started again since it doesn't taste good to me, but part of me feels like I'd still need it. So to sum up my question.. if your devices ran out of battery and you were not going to be able to charge them or replace the battery for some time and cigarettes were available, would you smoke again?

If vaping were banned I would probably be one of the least affected. A week after I started vaping I heard about the ban possibility and made a plan how to prepare myself for any possible ban. I have spent the last 8+ months doing exactly that.

I am down to 0-1 mg nic and have a nice supply stockpiled in my freezer. Not as much as many on this forum but then again I do not use much nic and I am an old lady.

I DIY 99% of my juices and could live without those few that I do not make.

I have made a conscious effort to invest in and learn to use mechs and rebuildables that I can repair myself. I also have a stockpile of replacement parts for said mechs and rebuildables.

They cannot touch PG, VG or food flavorings. Far too many uses outside vaping so no need to stockpile those.

If a ban comes I will be annoyed that hardware is tough to get. I will be even more saddened that smokers will no longer have the easy pathway I did to make the lifesaving choice to vape. I would however vape on with very little change to how I do it now.

And I found a really good vape doing it! hahahahahahahahaha

Really it came down to sheer determination to never smoke again no matter what my stupid government decides. I know without a doubt that if I couldn't vape I would smoke. So making the decision to never let myself be in that position was easy.

Teaching my old brain about battery safety, Ohms law and wrapping coils wasn't quite so easy. ;)

I can go without vaping for 8 hours or so. Sometimes, but not very often, I will intentionally leave my vaping gear at home when I go to work. I've done this 5 or 6 times since I quit smoking and it hasn't driven me back to analogs. I only get 1 full hour of total vape time during working hours anyway so I'm not missing out on much when I leave my gear at home. Vaping sure does hit the spot when I get back home though.

If vaping ceased to exist then I would still try to stay away from analogs. I would have to actually be in that situation to know for sure if I would succeed.

If vaping were simply banned I'm nearly certain that I would still find a way to get my gear and supplies.

If I woke up one day, my batteries didn't work, there were no replacements around - anywhere, no juice to be made - by anyone... ugh. I know how I am. If it were banned and all the theoretical situations apllied.. I'd probably smoke

All the more reason for everyone to get into CASAA.

Possibly, although I think I might start to find alternative means to get my juices. I've got a crate full of mechs, mods, attys, tanks, RBA's and RDA's, several hundred feet of various gauges of Kanthal and ribbon Kanthal, yards upon yards of silica wick and Ekowool in different diameters, stainless steel mesh, not to mention enough cotton yarn and cotton balls to last me a few decades.

Maybe I should look into DIY juice...
