I really want about 4 or 5 of them. 1 for vape gear (people can put up o 30ml bottles on top) 2 art supplies/ water color and pastels (or just pastels) 3 jewelry supplies 4 jewelry. I'm bad. My fear about using it for vape supplies is that I have this theory that nature abhors a void and I'd fill it up. Ever clean out a closet and notice how fast it fills up again? Yup.

BTW: I'm trying to simplify. But that's a sweet chest. I really like the front dropping down and making sort of a work counter (sigh).

Karen; I'm hoping your getting some funds soon. Yes, SOME bills need paying, but pay yourself first.

Oh I will when I get some funds I will take better care of me for sure. Nothing crazy just some things that will make me a little happier.
If I had it now, I would be very happy. I always enjoyed Christmas when I was working. Now, I hate it. I can't give anything and it makes me sad. I still love the meaning. the family time for dinner but it kind of pales in comparison to years ago

Here is the list of my dream gifts for my family and friends

Roommate (Jack/John) give him any kind of collectible the man is happy so this year I would get him a couple of toys from the 60's still in boxes and a pocket watch (he likes them)

My nephew (also Jack/John) loves video game so easy pick for him would be a PS4
His Girlfriend (Mary) She wants a Gibson guitar or Designer Jeans, I would have gotten her both

My niece in Canada Jennifer, just got her first apartment at age 18, I would get her leopard (her favorite print) towels and bedding/ and a few things for her new home to make it comfortable. oh and a laptop computer. She broke hers when she was here.

My niece in Puerto Rico Jacqueline, has three kids. Bikes for all the kids, a designer bag for her she could never afford one herself and she likes that stuff, I used to so I understand

My sister and her kids and her husband don't need anything at all. She has everything and more, I wouldn't be able to come up with anything special to them but her husband collects cows (he's a butcher) I found cow trophies on Ebay and I actually bought one for him with the inscription "Worlds Best Butcher" (he lent me money this year)
I will send them a family gift after the holidays, if I can, they know I can't afford anything

My mother doesn't need anything and won't remember, if I could have a miracle to give it would be to have her back the way she was.

For me, I just want security and peace in my life. I want to feel better, so if I could give myself a gift it would be better health. My miracle to be the way I was ten years ago.

For my friends here, I would give you all juice and Mods, God knows you all have given to me! Just a few bright and shiny things for everyone. So, if I win the lottery or find a bag of money (of course after I find out if it belongs to anyone else) I would be very generous.

This might be a silly post, but it is the kind of stuff I like to do when I have money and I would do it. As for the miracle stuff, it isn't any more far fetched than me having money right now so why not? That is what would make me happy to do.

What would you do?

This song came on at work this morning and it was all I could do not to burst into tears.

(((((((((((((((((((Hugs!!!!!!!!!!))))))))))))))) sweetie, there will be many moments that will catch you off guard, I have no wisdom to tell you how to get through, but your strength (demonstrated this far) and your family will help you through those times. I wish you peace and future happiness and the comfort that you are loved and admired by all of us here.

Vicki, your pain is still raw and it will take a long while to heal enough to be bearable. It's especially brutal that it comes so close to the holidays when you expect happy family times. No one else can really know what you're feeling, but just know that it will get easier with time. My thoughts are with you.

ECF is not loading for me right now. Just the text version, no editing, etc. I think my internet is too slow because I can't "like" or watch videos. I would get better internet. I can understand why that song would bring tears. I know it well. All I can say is *hugs* . I'm sorry you have to go through this. It must feel like a triple whammy to happen at this time of year.

I'm sorry. I've been trying not to go on about it and to speak of other things. I did get a chuckle from this...

That gave me a chuckle. I am having a hard time knowing what to say to you. I understand how you are feeling and it will get more tolerable with time. With time you will remember all the good and funny little things and they will make you smile. Just a thought: see if you can find a good picture of Jason and take it and have it made into a 5x7 or 8x10 and have it framed. Get a copy for your in-laws and one to display in the house for the children. If you do not have a picture, have your in-laws locate one. You will be glad you have this later on.

Last week I had my dentures fine tuned. I had not worn them all week because I was not up to dealing with it if they still were not fitting right. So today I wore them and made salad with grilled chicken for dinner. And of course, for desert I practiced again with the cashews and pistachios. So far, so good. No pain tonight so tomorrow I will see if I can wear them all day and eat. Looks like I am making some progress on this front.

I wonder if any restaurants are open for Christmas. I doubt it.

You can try calling restaurants to find out. Around here we have a few that are open.

Vicki, you talk about whatever you need or want to talk about, this is a support group for friends, not just about smoking and vaping. This really isn't a time when YOU need to be worrying about us. HUGS!

YAY! that's great news. I don't know about others but I do know Golden Coral is open on Christmas because Cliff and I used to go there for both Thanksgiving and Christmas after his dad died. It was just the two of us and his dad collapsed at the Thanksgiving dinner table and died a week later. They put on a quite good holiday dinner and down here anyway have a big crowd.

Good morning everyone. Still trying to become coherent, sad at almost 10 am. Had a sleep in this morning, causing us all to be late for school. Then another trip to the high school to take DD1 her ID Badge because she forgot it in the rush, causing me to be late for work as well.

Happy Monday!

Our family had old home week this weekend, DD1 saw her grandmother on her dad's side and DD2 saw her aunt/cousins on her dad's side. I am not thrilled with either of those people, so I have bite marks on my tongue but my girls are happy so I'll be happy too. The decorations are up, the package of their gifts finally got shipped and hopefully Fedex will have it delivered by Christmas, seeing as how it was supposed to be delivered today. . . And I'm trying to figure out what to cook for us. I will probably roast a chicken instead of a turkey or ham since we will only be feeding ourselves. (My sister/BIL/nephews might make a cameo appearance but his family is huge and they usually spend the whole day running between all his relatives.)

Any ideas welcome! Must have broccoli casserole and green bean casserole (blech!!) for the girls, anything else is up for grabs.

Good morning everyone.
I was starting to think I was almost ready for some breakfast until FQ mentioned those two casseroles, now I think I'll wait a bit until the nausea from just thinking about them goes away. LOL

Provari arrived, dripping attys did not and they were ordered first with an expected delivery date of today. :( Provari wasn't due until tomorrow. First impression is that it is much smaller than I expected, glad I didn't order the mini. Batteries charging so any other thoughts will have to wait a while. :)
