Well that sux, I actually like Golden Corral and would eat there more often but the closest one here is nearly an hour away, they closed the one that was half that far, just like you said, suddenly with no warning. They were going to put one in our town and had actually started site prep when the recession hit, so no go.

For information Ryan's is also open those days, but while edible their holiday dinner isn't half as good.

I'm tickled about your teeth, and a little envious too.

The Provari is heavier than the SID but it is so well balanced that it is more comfortable to hold, if that makes sense. I haven't ordered the RBA or RDA yet, what I was expecting today was some 510 bridgeless attys, hopefully tomorrow. I will probably order an Igo L soon though, and thinking about an Aurora BFT that has a tank you squeeze into a dripping atty so you can get that flavor on the go easier, it also lets you use rebuildable attys in it and you can put your own coils that you make in the one that comes with it, like you can with the Pro tanks and T3S.
Sheesh I talk like I know what I'm doing, but I don't, lol, but at least I am familiar with the terms and theory and I think that will make coil building easier to learn to do. DI's jig will make that part easier and I'll let you guys know how that works out too, he's using some of us on the forum as guinea pigs before he offers it to everyone. So far so good, they guys who were already making their own coils prefer to do it the way they always have even though they say the jig works well, the gals who were afraid to try love it and are making coils like fiends, lol.

Yes that is the reason he created the Snickerdoodle, people were asking him to do it. He really is a great guy and cares very much about his customers, he is in the forum chatting every day, not all day of course he's busy, but he really wants to hear what people think, and the truth, he knows not every juice is going to be right for everyone, but he does listen and act on the wishes of the customers.

The only Golden Corral in our area closed a couple of months ago; it was all of a sudden too. No casinos, closest one is almost 4 hours away so that is out. I will get on the internet and look around. We probably won't go anywhere but it is a possibility.

So far I am happy with my teeth. No pain yet but I have not eaten yet today. I think this is going to work out after all. I am quite happy about it. Now I have to get used to having teeth in my mouth. Feels like I have a baseball in there. lol

Nicoticket seems to be a real good vendor. I see almost no complaints or customer service problems. Clark has gone out of his way to try to accommodate the poor Mrs. Ts people that have not seen their orders for two months. That, to me, is a great gesture. I think that is why he created his Snickerdoodle, although I am not sure on that. I know he extended an invitation to those poor people to try his juices.

Claudia, how exciting that you received your Provari and it stinks that the RBA did not get to you today. Hopefully tomorrow. You must let us know your thoughts on it and if it is all that is being said about it. I am hoping DH is going to offer to get me one after Christmas. I have my fingers crossed. One of my spinners finally died today. That means the others are probably not far behind. I do want to get a device that is not battery dependent. I would rather spend money on batteries than devices. How heavy is the full sized Provari? And what color did you get?

I moved here from all of that stuff and I am much happier here, I hate civilization, too many people. lol I do miss the restaurants in Cal though, although we finally got a Mexican restaurant in town that actually knows how to make Chiles Relleno so I'm happier. :)

Ever considering moving, you know, to some place with resturants and healthcare and civilization???
lol!

Shari, I can't believe you prefer your Spinners to your MVP2. Is it because they're what you got used to, or because you find them easier for dripping? I love my Zmax and I'm VW all the way. I've thought about getting an MVP for a long time, but didn't because they were only VV. Now that the MVP2 has VW I really want to get one. I found a site where they only cost $39.99 and I was seriously about to pull the trigger on one when I saw they were out of the blue ones that I want. I guess I'll wait til those are back in stock.

I love my MVP2 but find the spinners are easier for me to hold and operate. I am thinking of picking up another MVP2 if I do not get Christmas Provari money. There are currently a couple other sites that have the MVP2 a bit under $40 besides 101vapes. You will have to check the Deals and Steals threads. I can not remember them off the top of my head. Just stay away from Fasttech for now. Still lots of people posting of waiting for stuff for over a month. Their MVP2 is $45 also. Not worth the chance it gets sent back to FT after a couple of weeks waiting for it to get out of China. So it is still wonky over there and their Chinese New Years holiday is just around the corner.

I thought I only wanted vw too, but I am finding that my Aspires are working so much better on the Provari so far, that I'm not missing vw at all, a really precise vv appears to work just as well as vw. My complaint about the c-twists is that I have to get a flashlight and magnifier to be able to see the numbers to change vv on them. I rather like being able to set vv in .1 increments. My itazte is vw as is my SID, but I think I'm going to like the Provari better than both of those. For what it cost I better, lol.

I guess I just can not get that 'city girl' out of me. Thought I would be able to but nope, not working. I could live with just a handful of good restaurants within 25 miles of me, but the ones I am finding 'Southernify' (new word :D) the foods they serve. There is sugar in the veggies or lots of stuff is fried or over spicy seasoned. Even the steaks and grilled fish. I do not think I could live in the Southwest or southern CA either because I do not like those types of spices and having my tastebuds assaulted all the time. I tend to like more subtle seasonings that celebrate the food, not overpower it.

I miss being able to purchase fresh fish and seafood and it surprises me because we are only 6 hours from the Gulf of Mexico. You would think there would be a plethora of fresh fish and seafood making the relatively short trip up I65. The regional foods offered in the grocery stores are the processed ones.

I was very surprised by the lack of selection in the deli section of the local supermarkets too. Here you have a narrow offering of meats out of chicken, turkey, ham, and beef. When we would visit my son in a small town in nowhere PA their deli had a huge selection of most NY deli meats and cheeses; the pastrami, corned beef, prosuitto, etc. You can't find them here.

Have you considered the iTaste VV V3? They appear to work the same way as the MVP2 but in a much smaller form factor. 101 vapes has the express kit for only $25.99.

Thaya, I really think that you can not go wrong with getting yourself an MPV2 for $40. Just remember that it does 3.3 to 5 volts and 6 to 11 watts. So if you like to vape outside those ranges it will not work for you. The battery life is wonderful. I do find that right before the battery dies the quality of the vape does drop. But if you recharge when in yellow mode you avoid that. I have a bad habit of vaping a battery down to dead. Very bad of me and I can't seem to catch myself before I do it. The ohms checker seems to be pretty accurate but do not go by me. I only use my 510 attys and one will last me weeks so I am not using it but once in a blue moon.

I've lived here in SC all my life. It's getting bigger and bigger every year, growing up around me, my house used to be in the country far from anything but now we are firmly in the 'burbs. There's a post office and a few pharmacies and a grocery store and even a Walmart within 3 miles of my house now. The old 2 lane road I live off of that used to be 55mph is now a 5 lane monstrosity. Hey, at least we got sidewalks out of the deal! I can get to whatever entertainment I might desire with a short trip, and though gourmet restaurants aren't my thing, apparently there are a lot of them around here. Mountains a couple hours away, ocean a couple hours the opposite direction. Living in the family homestead so no, no chance of me moving to civilization. After the kids are out of college and I have enough income to possibly afford a mortgage, I'll probably still stay here.

Ah, the afternoon draws to a close, thank goodness. Got a last spurt of busy work to do starting at 4:30 and then I'm free! Have a great day all!

I have a couple of Smoktek Winders 1300mah. They are the equivalent to a twist. They perform just like the spinners I have but I can not read the dials at all at night because of the way they have the dial shiny and the tiny red arrow that I can not see without putting on reading glasses and getting up and going under the right kind of light. Hate them for that. The Vision Spinners are much easier for me to see the dial and settings.

I watched a video on the Moevesto (sp) Semovar that is vv/vw and it is beautiful. If I knew how to rebuild Kayfun RBAs I would get one of those. More expensive than a Provari though. I do not think at the end of things that more money means better. And I do not have over $300 to drop on any PV, even if it blows everything else out of the water. The Provari I am interested in. I do want the changeable batteries and the warranty and customer service is worth it to me.

I have read too many threads where people are spending ~$75 for a mod that is dead or the threads are stripped or a board comes loose or the button won't work after 2 to 3 months. That would seriously piss me off. And I am not going to drill air holes, make new springs and refashion a supposed plug and play device. Nope, not me. So MVP2 and spinners or a Provari for me. Just need to figure out if I want a mini or regular size.

You still did not tell if you got the extender cap and what color it is. We need to know this important info, Claudia. And the color of the LED.

I thought I only wanted vw too, but I am finding that my Aspires are working so much better on the Provari so far, that I'm not missing vw at all, a really precise vv appears to work just as well as vw. The Provari uses a different power regulation system and that's more expensive. I stink at explaining it but I think it fires faster, smoother and more consistant, so vw isn't as important. The big benefit is it's a mod for life.

I held back on Innokin because I don't know how long they last. Nothing bugs me more than having something die on me.

I think I would rather have another MVP2. Don't know why but that little itaste v3 does not appeal to me for some reason. I think it is the size of the battery. I would blow through that in no time and I am not one to be tethered to a passthrough. The frequency with which I have to rotate and charge my 1300mah spinners is getting old. I did pick up another 4 1300mah spinners in a coop so I do have some time to make up my fickle mind. I am hoping that maybe a few Provaris will hit the classys after the first of the year and maybe I can pick up one a bit cheaper than retail. Missed out on a couple of what looked like good buys recently; not quick enough and the Provari lovers on here sweep them up pretty quick unless they are beat up. I do not want a beat up one even though they are built like tanks. Don't need to spend over $100 for something that looks like it has been run over by a truck several times.

I recently saw a thread (here on ECF) asking how much have you spent how your devices. I think it is a 2013 thread, but is kinda old now. Anyway, I said I've spent $250 on my devices in 2 years of vaping. My understanding was that the thread didn't include juice, nor say clearos. And so $250 would be accurate as I've had about 10 batteries, and all 10 come with lifetime warranty. I gave 2 of those away and so now have 8, and feel good to go indefinitely. I've been given stuff along the way, like a tank, and after a little trial and error, I feel like cigalikes are sufficient enough for me, even while I concede that there are very likely much better devices around than what I choose to use.

Compared to what other vapers spend, I think I spend far less, but even that $250 plus all the other items I've spent money on, for vaping, seems kinda expensive. Until I compare it to a PAD smoking habit. Then suddenly, it seems cheap again.

Saw another thread today titled, "Big Tobacco can kiss my last ...." which included typical rant against BT. Came very close to posting in there and pretty sure all regulars in this thread can relate to what counter rant I may have posted, but decided not worth it at the last moment. Instead, just thought I'd note it here to help blow off some steam with (fellow) vapers that get on my last nerve when they choose to go in that direction and feel oh so righteous in their posting. Oh well. There are bigger fish to fry.

Hi Jman8. What devices for those prices are you saying have a lifetime warranty? Is that the Vapor4Life stuff? I am curious and not looking to refute what you are saying. That sounds like a good deal for a new vaper, since some people learning can be rough on equipment with juice overflows, etc. I am interested. I think I may have my sister at the edge of agreeing to try vaping and that may be an option for her.

I think I have spent just shy of $200 on devices in the almost 6 months I have been vaping. That includes 8 spinners and an MVP2. So far only one spinner is dead. 4 spinners I am waiting on delivery.

I read so of those 'militant' (my word) threads where everyone gets up in arms over big govt, smokers, antz, big tobacco, vaping anywhere and anytime. I do not post and now rarely bother to even open one up to read. Reminds me of the sixties and burning your bra and the Vietnam War protests and all that. I am too old and too tired to deal with it, whether I agree or not. There are extremists on both sides of the coin. I think some of the threads and people posting are just looking to drum up some controversy for entertainment value to see how many people they can get going. Though there are some worthy threads also, don't get me wrong.

You can come and rant with us. No judgment here in general. But be prepared for our feedback too.

I put my soapbox firmly away for the day. I'm tired! I might pull it out again after tomorrow but who knows. Like Shari I grow tired of refuting the same arguments over and over again. People sadly believe what they want to believe.

I'm in the home stretch now folks, almost go-home o'clock! DD1 reports the damn internet is down again. Since last Thursday every afternoon when she comes home around 4 pm it's down. Then sporadic off-and-on all night after that. Have to shut down and restart the router numerous times per night, makes me very ill. Windstream's response? It must be a hardware issue at my home, their techs are available to come out after New Year's and it will cost me at least $75. Once I was even told my router was too far away from the phone jack and was dropping the signal. There is absolutely NO problem in my area with their broadband. My foot!! The problem is internet supplies all our entertainment (we don't have cable or satellite, watch tv with a Roku, and of course browsing!) and we all get cranky when we can't get our tv fix!

Oh sorry about that  I got the standard with no extender cap, 2 batteries, will get more later, satin silver and red led. I went with the barebones least expensive one. Color doesn't matter to me at all, it can be whatever color I want anytime I want since I have the Cameo vinyl cutter hooked to my computer, and hundreds of patterns, so I can do plain wraps or filigree wraps or just cut out designs and stick them on it, using a nice indoor vinyl that comes off easily without leaving sticky residue. I actually prefer the red led over the other colors. :) That said I think it looks good just as it is in it's nice satin silver.

That stinks. I have been through same type of problems on and off with cable. Never their problem of course. Sounds like it is time to break out the cards and board games. Next time you get on internet, go on Amazon and buy the Book of Hoyle - has couple of hundred card games in it with rules, etc. Yahtzee is fun too. Hope you get it fixed (or should I say they get it fixed).

Now that you mention that you can make your own wraps I think I remember you told us all that and I just forgot. I remember because I remember thinking, dam is that woman talented. Sorry for making you repeat yourself. I hope you are enjoying it so far. Let us know how long the battery lasts and when your attys get here.

Last year I was having problems with my internet going out constantly. I had to unplug my modem and/or router sometimes a dozen times a day to get it going. My cable company replaced my modem and it kept happening, so I bought a new router and it completely solved the problem. Of course that doesn't explain losing your cable TV. I didn't have that problem.

Well I'm on terminal hold with them right now, they say my router is bad so they're connecting me with the correct department to buy a new one. Yippee. Merry Christmas girls!

I don't lose the cable, we don't have cable or satellite, sorry for confusion. We'll be good as new in a few days once USPS and Windstream get on the same page.

Hope you're all having a good night! I stopped at McD's for a payday treat for the girls, so no cooking/dish washing necessary. I'll go back to real food tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get to hang up soon. . .

Well, don't overlook this Gripper

I think it's the deal of the century. It's tiny, you can put it in a pocket easily. I got it for hiking etc. but it's been such a solid performer I use it all the time. It's designed for xl single coil carto's, which I have and still haven't used in it. I use the extension ($3) for all types of clearo's, ce4's etc. and nano clearo's fit perfectly inside (without extension). A single 18350 will give me a day and a half because when it's not in use, it's "off". Very simple and brainless. Add anything 1.8 ohm = the best tasting vape yet.

The nano clearo's are surprising. They are close to the same taste as dripping but hold apx 1ml. No wick or filler taste. Perfect for sampling. They run apx $2 and last forever and I vape VG sludge.

Simple, cheap, effective and it's going strong after 8 months. Mad Vapes keeps making them. There's few parts that can break. On YouTube there's been a lot of modifications done - largely dremel the side with the 510 connection so it'll accept wider dimensions like dual coil. It's definitely one of my best buys and a lot more versatile than I expected. It's not flashy but I think I like it better because it's not. There's nothing unneccesarly.

You can search for reviews "little gripper".

Sticking to a single mod or pv is like sticking to only one flavor of eliquid. It's not going to happen in my lifetime.
