Wow I could have gotten it there faster on my wheelchair

Delivered 4pm on Christmas eve. Perfect timing for me since I wasn't expectng it. Ordering from the west coast is easy peasy. 1-2 days. Anything east of here? Ferget it. That include NM and TX. I got something from WI recently and it was mind boggling the crazy stops it made. Over 9 cities were involved.

It might get it's first trial tonight. I'm heading to er. My knee is blown up again. I know it's cartlidge flopping around and usually it'll flop itself out of the way again. But it's been 2 days now and I can't take it. I don't know what they can do. I know I need to esculate it to get seen by a doctor faster.

((((Aikanae)))) oh my! I hope you feel better very soon! Knee pain can be even worse than back pain. Please use alternating ice and heat. it will help even if the ice is a bit uncomfortable at first. I hope you are home from the ER already and were able to go to bed and sleep. Please take good care and again I wish you a speedy recovery!

OMG Aikanae, I know that pain. It is on the scale of kidney stones and child birth. I am so sorry that you are experiencing it. I hope they gave you a script for pain meds or at the very least an injection for pain in the hospital. I do hope you feel better soon!

I'm with Claudia. I can't like the fact you have gout. I also can't like the allergy to opiates. Been reading that rest, ice, elevation of affected limb, and Advil or Aleve can help.

Hope you get some relief from the pain soon.

The pain is much better on a script of ibuprofen and he aspirated some of the fluid = instant relief. I could bend my knee again. The actual dx was psuedogout and after some reading, it's really a misleading to call it gout. It's not a build up of uric acid which can sometimes be controlled by diet. Psuedogout is needle like crystals that are partially calcium that become embedded into joints. It's more of an arthritis. It's uncommon enough that the nurse didn't know what it was. I guess id'ing the structures in the fluid leaves little room for imagination. It also wasn't comforting to read that I should be 30 years older to have this. Nursing home, here I come! Geesh. I am out of acute pain right now. I'm sore, but that I can handle.

When I go to a casino I have X money to play with. Normally its 20-40. I put 5-10 in the machine and cash out when I double my money. Then pocket the winnings and put my starter money back in. Then I buy drinks with my winnings and leave with a few dollars more than I started with. But I enjoy myself. And win free meals lol.

I had a teacher with pseudogout in his hands and elbows and knees. He said it was so painful that he wouldn't even wish it upon his worst enemy. I don't remember what he did to control it though. Just know he had about 4 really bad flair ups a year.

Rant warning

I just don't get cheap people. Cigarettes cost about $6 a pack here. You can do RYO for about $12 a carton. But smoking was NOT free. I do understand being broke and trying to be thrifty. A penny saved and all that. What i don't get is people being stupid. I keep seeing stuff like "can I use lemon pledge in DIY" or is it ok to use molasses and honey as a sweetener or has anyone tried using aroma therapy oils. First of all DIY compared to store bought liquid is cheap - compared to smoking is really cheap. $3 for a 10ml bottle of sweetener or flavoring that will make 150+ mls of juice is a bargain. Why do you want to try stupid potentially harmful stuff. The same goes with gear. I swear I'm not making this up - "can you hook up a car battery to a 510 connector"? Wth is wrong with people? Then you see news stories about stuff exploding.
Maybe it's time to remove all warning labels like "don't use this toaster in the bathtub" and let "survival of the fittest" and natural selection sort it all out.
