Hey Karen, glad that you're over it. Not worth it.

Shari, that sounds like a real PITA. I'm not sure I would be able to handle the stress of that. I hope the insurance steps up and makes it right.

Right before Christmas I bought a mini-RDA and coils, and 2 new clearos from FT. Shipped on the 27th, arrived yesterday! :D

Aik, I saw you post a question on the clearos--I got one in purple and one in blue:

The tank is relatively thick plastic, I would compare it to something like what they use for the eRoll cartridges. Don't know if it's PC or not, but it's not thin like in most clearos. Bigger than I thought, but look nice on my spinner and iTaste.

Here's my dripper--it's soooo tiny!

I got a pretty purple marbled vase shaped acrylic drip tip for it that works awesome! The iTaste ohm reader says the prebuilt coil is 1.7 ohms, and I'm vaping at 7.5 watts. Loving it!! It has a flat deck, so if anyone who's familiar with RDA's wants to chime in I have some questions about wicking when I'm ready to start building.

Yeah, start of a long stretch of PITA I think. We will see how it goes. I have so much stuff in those two shelving units that is precious and breakable that I am in a quandary as to where to put it up for a while. It will be fixed sooner or later so no sense worrying today. I will be Scarlett.

That little clearo is a strange shape. Not sure about it. Does it take protank heads? The little RBA is very cute. Hard/easy to rebuild? Like the looks of it.

The purple on is referred to as the "Squid" in some places, no more than 6 drops, I have that and the larger size one as well called the "Octopus". My "Squid" needs to be recoiled, I am using my "Octopus" right now on the Provari to see if there is any difference. its a bit stronger on here than the Zmax and VV V3

I got these a long time ago and was afraid to use them. I didn't know how to use or was afraid they would leak all over because of the flat deck. Not bad, I still have to learn to build the coils. If I am lazy, I found out pre-built wicks are available from Discount Vapors.

I like that top one too, I don't have one. Let me know how that one vapes, I love fasttech, When I am sad, I buy something for $3-5 bucks.LOL

I hope your back to normal soon...not having your home feeling like "home" would be very hard for me, and worrying about additional damage as things sit waiting to be repaired would stress me to no end.

I liked the clearos because of their shape--sort of '60's/70's retro. I like bubbles--I have a ceiling fan with round and oval blades, looks like something from the Jetsons. :p

The heads look like Smok heads. I just got an Aro and the head looks exactly like that. Similar to protanks and evods but the chimney is longer.

Re: the rebuilding--I will need a magnifying glass and some very small pliers to get the wires into the holes. Thankfully, there was a coil and wick already installed! The body of the piece is about 1" tall and about 1/2 to 3/4" wide. Teeny! And the posts are even teenier. I guess though that once I get comfortable rebuilding these, doing something like an RSST or Kayfun will be cake.

ETA: Oh! It has a name? BF will laugh at that one...."squid"...lol. FT just called it a miniature RDA. I liked the color. If I knew it was so small I might not have bought it.

That was the one I mentioned a little while back that I almost got but chickened out. I decided to go for it this time. Glad I did! I have it on my iTaste and it really makes big clouds!

Ahhh. Too little for me. I am getting to where I can not see certain things even with reading glasses. Need bigger stuff. It is adorable though and like the color. Gotvapes had 5 new aluminum drip tips that are long and are very, very pretty. I play their weekly contest and they put the picture up today. You may like the look. I am thinking about getting on to see if I can use it on a 510 atty.

Date says 6/2008 not sure why, I had no charge in the camera. think it went back to when I got it? I have to play with the camera to see how to fix that. I don't even think I had the camera yet in 2008. Very weird.

The display is red, I expected that, I will need to see if I think I need to get the extra cap for the 18490 extension. I doubt I will buy it, but you never know. I have more batteries in the 18350 size.

Alisa, looks like the rda I bought that was called the mini bully. A trick you can use when rebuilding, take a sewing needle threader (the colapsable wire thingy you put through the loop to help thread the needle) and use that to help get the wire through the hole.

LOL...I have no idea what you're talking about. Oh! Yes I do...haven't used one of those in forever...I saw one guy who made something like that out of some extra kanthal. Might have to pop in on my mom and ask if she still has some.

I still have 10 prebuilt coils and wicks, so I will likely not be building too soon from now. But eventually, I will for sure.

What a great idea top! Where did you come up with that one?

Shari, threading a tiny wire (or string) through a tiny hole. Same concept, why not use the same tools? I used to sew often, now I hardly even repair my clothes that need it abd not sure where my sewing kit went to after my move.

Good news, house down the street from me is for sale. .. girlfriends dad is contemplating buying it, but not sure if he wants to save for a down payment or use his veterans loan and not need a down payment. Monthly payments and largely different, he is crunching the numbers.

Karen, what clearo is that? It looks really long.

it's an Aspire , pretty good. I like different ones at different times. that one hits really nice. I almost choked first time I used it. I am used to it now, so that doesn't happen anymore. I change between liking top coil and bottom coil all the time. I only have one of each style , If I find I favor something over all the others I make a note of it, for when I might ever have money. I have to say that so far the ones I got from Fasttech that are no name or clones are fine, no problems

Jim here, and I think I learned today that it's okay to still want and have an analog from time to time....from reading this thread :)

I intently read the first 130 posts, and if there's a limit on the posts you can click like on per day, I probably hit or exceeded it :D

I went to a vape shop just down the road from my house back on December 8th and got an EVOD VV starter kit (2 EVOD VV batteries and 2 EVOD tanks/attys) and some Rocket Fuel Vapes juice. I finished the carton of Pall Malls I had about a week later. After that, it was pretty much when somebody handed me a cigarette that I smoked it. Sometime in the last couple weeks, I found a Marlboro coupon in my wallet and bought a pack. With vaping, I found I only needed/wanted 2-4 a day.

This past Saturday, I decided I wanted more vapor. Went over to another vape shop and picked up a Protank II and some different juice. I'm still running the same batteries, and just carrying 3 different flavors to suit my mood.

Remember that pack of analogs I was talking about? It lasted almost a week. After 20+ years with only a 2 year quit, that was pretty much the longest I had made a pack last. I picked up another yesterday, and I'm still easily sticking with 2-4 (social) cigs a day down from 1 PAD. My boss is my smoking buddy, and I've given him a coupon to the vape shop that set me up. It's only a matter of time if he really wants it :)

I'm glad to see that there are others like me who may have tried to completely replace smoking with vaping, but realized that it really isn't reasonable "cold turkey" for some people.

Welcome Jim! So glad you found us! You'll find we are the most likable group you could find on ECF, We like to have fun now and again and we hope you visit often to enjoy it and even take part. As someone that both vapes and smokes, I am happy that you found a way to do both! For me, while I still smoke, I do want to quit, so far it hasn't "worked" but I do not beat myself up over it. I have been doing a little better this week so I am happy with my progress.

Look for posts from Jmann, he wants to smoke now and again and vape as he pleases, you have that in common.

As long as you are happy with the flavor and your current set-up that's all you need. I have a few different things (not chasing clouds but chasing the quit). We are here to chat or ask questions about equipment, vaping in general, sometimes even specific questions. Someone usually has an answer or had experience. Most important, no one here will criticize you for smoking.

I hope you come back again and again.

How's that Rocket Fuel Juice?
