I'm sorry i found this thread so late....I've been vaping for nearly a year now, and I still smoke. it appears the only thing vaping has done is increase my consumption of nic.I was smoking a pack a day when I started vaping, the first day of vaping I smoked 5 cigarettes...I was ecstatic, and was sure I'd soon by off tobacco. As time wore on my smoking started creeping upward.I became obsessive about vaping, reading about and exploring everything vaping related...I've become a very educated vaper, that uses RBAs in chasing the best flavor, and to my great dissapointment I still smoke, to the point now where I am contemplating giving up vaping, and trying to beat cigs some other way. perhaps I am just an obsessive personality. The thing is i really like vaping.

Welcome! I would continue vaping, I am in exactly the same position. I can go anywhere between 4 and a PAD still. but, that is down from 3-4 PAD, so I am happy. I love vaping, it doesn't always love me!
Don't be disappointed, maybe you would be smoking more now if you weren't vaping. If you enjoy it why quit? All of us here struggled at some point or another, some prefer to continue doing both, others have finally quit. We offer support and friendship. Our combined knowledge might help you get where you want to go. Please feel free to ask questions and come back as often as you like. We go off topic, have fun but if you want to talk vaping we do that too! Hope you stick around!

Thanks for the kind words....I've run across refrences to WTA e-juice has anyone had any experince with it, or know anything about it.

I finally introduced myself last night :)

I learned from this very thread that all of us drop the analogs differently, some not at all. I think a good portion of us have reduced the number of them, but we're just not willing to completely give them up. Notice I didn't say able, but willing.

I know for me, analogs were (and still are to a point) a part of my life and part of me.

Over the last 24 hours, I learned not to berate myself and feel guilty for reaching for an analog or buying another pack. Just to be happy that I'm using less of them while still getting the nicotine my body needs by vaping.

A day with one less analog is a great day. Some days, we reach for it more, some days we reach for it less.

The biggest benefit for me over the last few weeks of my vaping was my 9 year-old daughter not telling me I smell like smoke anymore, and to blow the vapor out of my nose again :vapor: :D

...that, and I can take a full breath again :)

I think pretty much everyone in this thread has used WTA (I think ClaudiaP and Shari are the ones who haven't--could be more). What would you like to know?

For me, it was a game changer.

I also noticed a weird phenomenon--when I was still having massive cravings for a cigarette or if I was feeling like the vape was missing "something", the WTA would take care of that pretty readily. But once I got to the point where I didn't have the intense cravings anymore or feeling like I needed something else, if I used it it made me want to smoke. So for me there was a very fine line between keeping me off smokes, or wanting to start up again.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but that's how it was for me. I still have some, but I don't use it anymore.

I'm down to dregs in one of the 3 10ml bottles of juice I got when I bought my EVOD kit - is that like a rite of passage for a new vaper? :D

I've got 4 partial 10ml bottles and a 30ml in front of me of stuff I like, then 1 10ml on the shelf that has to be cut with something else. I just don't like it by itself. Stupid me for not tasting before buying at the B&M  Better do some tasting and shopping!

5 analogs today, 3 were social and 2 were waiting for the bus...a co-worker was stepping outside for a smoke and vaping just wasn't doing it for me. An analog was just my craving. I allowed myself to torch up :) Pretty good for being 1 PAD a month ago!

Congrats, Jim! Any improvement is good. As long as you're comfortable with it, it's all good. Keep up the good work.

In case you didn't know...you always get dancing bananas for milestones.

Don't give up! There are people, ways and things that can help you reach your goals, whatever they may be. I never dreamed I'd be able to give up the smokes, and that was my goal. Take baby steps if you need to and let the experience of the people in this thread try to help you.

I've never used WTA but some swear by it. It could be the key for you. Many people in this thread have had great success with it and they can share their experience. Just don't give up yet, stick around. :)

My experience with WTA is that it really works, I don't have anymore, but the stuff really helps a lot. I was fortunate to get some and try it, I found if I mix it with something it still helped me, Its best full strength. You really should try it, it might make all the difference!

Next time I get some, I am going to try 2 different ones a tobacco and a sweet flavor.

What have you been vaping Equality? What equipment are you using?

Well I really like gennys...I have a KFL which is alot of fun, but I prefer gennys ...right now i'm in love with my pulse G atomizer, also i only vape on ceramic wicks though I'm playing around with vertical micro coils in my KFL.I like to vape in the .8 to 1 ohms on mech.or 1.2 on a VV at around 15 watts.

I just ordered some WTA flavorless juice from a place called aroma i think 24mg.....how much do you mix with your juice.

First, I used the WTA full strength, then I started mixing flavor, I would say 60% flavored 40% WTA My flavored juice tends to be very full flavored so I didn't really dilute the flavor too much. I hope that helps.

Most everybody else vaped theirs at full strength, I didn't have that luxury , I am on a very tight budget.

You are way past me on the RBA, RDA scene, I only have an Octopus and Squid, Haven't rebuilt yet I'm still using the stock coil. I need to do the Squid, just haven't gotten to it. I have to buy the supplies.

Yeah, well I'm a flavor hound, so that's what put my feet on the RBA direction fairly quickly,it's also what pushed me toward ceramics from their begining.rebuilding is alot of fun it really allows you to experince a very wide range of what kind of vape is possible

Well, since I smoked for over 30 years, I have to have more flavor than most. can't taste the juice otherwise. I smoked 3-4 PAD so I always add extra flavor. I do enjoy dripping and always had 510 drippers from the beginning. I love them for ease of cleaning and swapping flavors so easily.

The fact that in the beginning you are able to vape 10ml of the same juice is pretty good. I had a horrible time that first week or so finding something I really liked enough to be able to vape enough to satisfy me and stay with it. Then my adv was gifted to me. That is the only juice I vaped for months. I would keep buying and trading for other juices but all fell by the wayside after a ml or 2. My adv was NLV Gold, a sweet maple/waffle tobacco. Lox says he tastes no tobacco. I taste it, but it is the sweet that snagged me. Now I have a few others that I vape almost as much as the Gold. I can go a couple of days without touching it.

Don't sweat the cigarettes you smoke now, even if you are really wanting to quit them for good. Once you relax and not stress over it you will find your own pattern and may not smoke at all for a couple of days without noticing it. Or not. Either way you are ahead and doing great.

Hi Equality. Welcome to the thread. If you decide to sit down and read this thread like a novel, you may discover what is up with you and your vaping and smoking patterns. Lots of us go up and down and back and forth with the vaping and smoking.

What did it for me personally was upping my nicotine level from 18mg to 24mg. Right after I started vaping I got down to 2 cigarettes a day then I had a major equipment failure and went back to chain smoking for a week. When my new attys came in I started vaping again and never had another cigarette. But for another week I was stressing and fighting cravings at 18mg. A few people here suggested I up my nic to 24mg and once I did, that did it for me. Knocked those cravings right out. But then I was vaping so much through cravings that I could not sleep for the next couple of months. I became the resident vampire here, up all night. I still get like that but more so now because I do not work and my sleep pattern is all screwed up. Plus I always was more of a night person. My brain does not kick in until about 1pm.

Hang out with us. Glad you decided to jump in and post. I love new blood.:D

Alisa, I am so glad you said that about that fine line with the WTA. That is the main reason I never used it. I have periods (stress usually) when I feel I am on the edge of picking up a cigarette. With the recent deaths in my family and DIL on maternity bed rest and now the burst water pipe, I get so stressed that I do not know what to do with myself or how to calm myself down.

I have a tiny bottle of WTA with a couple of ml in it that I have, but have not used. It is there, in case. One more safety net before smoking for me. My fear of using it is that it would so like the feeling of a cigarette that I would cross that line. That is also why I stopped vaping the Plume Room Type M. It was ashy like my Marlboros and I did not like it for a bit. Now it reminds me of a cigarette too much. I worked hard to get where I am and my stubbornness keeps me there when I would probably pick up that cigarette. If I smoke one, it will be the whole pack, chain smoking. I will not do it.

I do read that WTA is wonderful for many people who use it. It really does help with what a lot of people say is that 'something' that is missing with just vaping. I have also read that you do not use it like a regular juice for an all day vape. I read that some just vape a little of it and it satisfies, or they mix it with some regular juice or unflavored nic. Check out the WTA threads, there is a bunch of info in them. I think Aroma is the standard. Others know much more than I do about it.

I envy people who know themselves well enough to be able to smoke a couple or a few a day. I do not have moderate button. I am on or off.

I think pretty much everyone in this thread has used WTA (I think ClaudiaP and Shari are the ones who haven't--could be more). What would you like to know?

I was a 3-4 PAD smoker so I started off vaping 24mg nic and still do most of the time. I did pretty well vaping at home more than smoking, but I continued to smoke almost exclusively at work. I was able to smoke pretty much all I wanted to at work, so I did. Most of my co-workers smoked and it was just too easy to smoke with them. It was almost embarrassing to vape my big APV while they smoked.

What did it for me was getting a little eRoll to use at work. When they lit up, I vaped my eRoll since it looks like a cigarette and feels a lot like smoking a cigarette. I felt like I fit in better using that when they smoked. I vaped my eRoll at work and vaped my Zmax at home. It worked so well for me that when I felt a craving for a cigarette I turned to the eRoll to get the feeling of smoking. Pretty soon I noticed I barely got cravings and now I rarely use my eRoll at all, even at work. All my co-workers are so used to seeing me vape my Zmax that they don't even notice it, except to occasionally tell me how good it smells. :)

Everyone has their own difficult situations and scenarios that may require a game plan. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. Think about what your smoking triggers are and how they might be addressed by a change in vaping equipment, liquid or something else.
