Questions I have from reading the last few pages (anyone can reply, please):

1 - Is WTA more addictive? I ask this because IMO vaping nicotine products is far less addictive than smoking. I am drawn to vaping, and sometimes to chain vaping, but compared to peak days of smoking, I don't crave it. Now that I no longer crave smoking, even while I still smoke, I am curious if WTA would suddenly make me crave vaping in a way I'm not currently accustomed to?

2 - For those of you who were 3-4 PAD smokers. I'm honestly wondering where you found the time to smoke that much? Which I ask tongue in cheek. Most I think I ever smoked in one day was 2.5 packs and was me being buzzed and wasting smokes, like having 2 lit at the same time and because of state I was in, I allowed both to stay lit. Or on days where I would say do 2 in a day, it was because I stayed up really really really late (think past breakfast time for most people). Yet, on a normal day, where I was doing 1.5 PAD, it would average to 3 an hour with about 3 to 5 hours of the day where I simply wasn't able to smoke (i.e. in the shower, or building that forbade smoking).

3 - Also wondering about 3-4 PAD smokers who wouldn't see it as huge / enormous success to go from that to anything less than a PAD. IMO, that would be moderate smoking coming from someone who was doing 60+ in a day. Anything less than 5 in a day would be, IMO, equivalent to what I'm currently up to which is less than one a day, but more than 1 a week. Curious what other (former) smokers think about this.

4 - Do WTA juices come in many flavors? Seems like I'm only seeing them as flavorless juices and is why I ask.

My last doctor appointment I told him I quit smoking and he did not sound thrilled about it so I took my spinner out to show it to him and saw his face so I took a big vape right there in front of him and smiled and said, 'see, vapor, no tobacco!' You should have seen his face and the nurse's face. But the nurse 5 minutes earlier told me how it was dangerous. Wonder if they ran to a decontamination room after I left. Ha!

I was in doctor's office a week ago. A doctor I've seen about 8 times now and who I like / respect. He knows I vape and hasn't tried to dissuade me from it. Anyway, there was that moment where he left for 5 minutes leaving me alone to my thoughts. And my vape! So, I took a puff or two, wondered for about 30 seconds if he'd even notice and when he came back, even I had forgotten that I just vaped in that room.

IMO, it is a non-issue to vape in a health clinic/hospital and this experience just bolsters my thoughts on the matter. Had he come back and said something that would equal (to most people) reasonable grounds for scolding me, I'd have reconsidered my position, at least a little bit.

Funny thing is, when typing that last paragraph, that doctor called me on the phone. The universe likes toying with me.

Whoops busted! Lox, did you order a little treat for your wife while you were at it? Fair's fair, after all!

I'm tired. It's a little over an hour until I can go home, I've never been so happy to see the end of a week in my life. Cold weather really makes people nasty.

Plus I want to sleep late again, I really miss it!

Jman, Aroma used to sell quite a variety of flavored WTA-infused liquids, but it's been a while since I've checked out their site. For those who really really can't quit cigarettes because there is something missing from traditional nicotine eliquid, WTA could be a blessing. You have no desire to completely quit cigarettes, so I would suggest you skip it. It's a lot more expensive than regular eliquid, and (when I was buying it) very hard to find in stock, in the flavor you wanted, in the strength you wanted. YMMV of course, check it out, you might love it or hate it.

Good Evening! And
welcome.gif
to our new friends!

I used WTA from both Aroma and Wholecig. Aroma's 24 mg flavored, and Wholecig's 17mg unflavored. I never cut it, always used it full strength. I wouldn't use it exclusively all day, that stuff is some kind of expensive. However, I always had a tank loaded and when I felt strong urges and cravings, I would use it. The miracle is I could take a break from vaping, actually put the device down and walk away. It definitely helped more than regular liquid with nicotine. After a few months I ran out and did not buy any more, I figure I'll leave it for those who really need it now.

I've used both Aroma (2 flavors) and Wholecig. The Wholecig is 100% VG, and the one I tried was unflavored. Ends up I can't do 100% VG without a reaction. And unlike many I didn't care for the taste of unflavored VG at all (many seem to enjoy it with no flavoring added), but I also felt that the Wholecig, even cut down, seemed (to me) to be a bit stronger (as in more affect). I also didn't vape mine all day, I kept some in a cig-a-like and used it when I was really carving.
I just ordered some more, and I've bought another cig-a-like backup battery, and I'm going to be giving it another shot.

As someone that was a 3 pack a day smoker that worked 2 jobs, 7 days a week -- I still found the time! Commuting was wicked bad for my smoking habit! And what I couldn't smoke at work I more than made up for once I got off of the clock.

And yes, I do feel that it's an accomplishment going from 3 PAD down to a PAD or less ... but I'd really love to be able to totally quit at this point. *I* want to be in control -- instead of always having to feel as if the cigs control me.

Jman, I was one of those 3 to 4 PAD smokers. I was able to smoke nearly a whole pack just at work. I'm also a night owl and on my computer a lot. I was a chain smoker while on my computer. I was laid off for 2 years and that's when I went from 3 packs to 4 packs a day. When I went back to work I slowed back to 3+ packs a day.

I wanted to quit altogether but didn't think it was possible for me. Even cutting down to a pack a day would have been a great accomplishment for me, but I don't know if I could have maintained that without creeping back up to where I was. I don't know if I could even have a few a day and not go back to chain smoking. It's happened to me too many times before.

I can remember hitting that 3 PAD mark and it was frightening. On the computer, I can easily pass 1 PAD without notice. That does scare me. I'm not found of 1 PAD. I can relate to chain smoking. It's also bad if I'm visiting a smoker friend. Everytime they light up, I do and everytime I light up, they do. It's horrible how sneaky it is.

WTA is a ymmv type thing. On paper it sounds as if it would be more addictive, but my experience is the reverse. Go figure. I also have respirtory illness and I'm much better vaping WTA than non-WTA when I have a flare up. You'll find opinions on both sides. All I can say is to try it and make up your own mind.

I do not find it all that much more expensive than traditional premium eliquids since I tend to vape less and it's been my ADV at times. I find Aroma's flavors quite good. You just have to jump in. I didn't like unflavored WTA from Whole Cig until I got very ill and couldn't vape anything else. Then I fell in love. I think it's an acquired taste. It is still the most comfortable vape I have found to date. I have minor (tolerable) coughing with Aroma. I haven't tried their unflavored.

Anything about eliquids is VERY subjective. I can't stress that enough. There is no way of knowing anything before actually trying it. I like flavors in juices that I would NEVER eat and vice versa. There's flavors I like in both life and juice and flavors I like in life that I HATE in juice. Not only that, but my taste changes. What taste like crap now can be pure heaven in a couple of months.

Welcome to the flavor vegas I guess.

Well the weather is at 40 and feels like 70 after the sub zero temperature. .. was outside in shorts and no shirt earlier. . Felt good.

Roads are mostly clear now. Places where snow was packed are now solid ice patches. Makes getting out of the drive way fun. Had to push and slide the truck onto the road since I had no traction.

And just what are you going to do with it?
What types?
ONLY 2 lbs?
I saw a bag of 5 lbs calling me. Maybe not from the same source or type.
D*mn. I don't need another hobby.
I got samples of various cigarette tobaccos. I'm going to extract them, figure out their nuances, and blend them to get the perfect net.

ok, I finally forced myself to get up, it hurts! Feeling sorry for myself, I had to open a package of cookies I bought for roommate that I did noot think I would like, Keebler peanut butter cup sandies, OMG addictive! Now we all know that I am not supposed to eat these things. BUt I just couldn't help myself after I ate the first one, it was lust t 2nd bite!

So, if any vendor stops by these pages make a juice of it! Put that in a pipe and smoke it or in our case vape it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jmann, I smoked non stop morning till night. It was a joke I would take the cig into the shower and smoke till I had to wash my hair. had the ashtray right outside the door. I was able to smoke at my desk at work. Three smokers in an office that was converted from a 1 bedroom apartment above, the main office. I had the dining room another manager had the bedroom and a third manager had the living room. There was a cloud all day.

When I got sick and couldn't work anymore, I smoked more, I don't go out much at all there is little to stop me except money at this point. I pre-purchased enough RYO supplies to last over a year. Well it's lasting longer than that. Roommate actually had quit for about 4 months and now since I did cut down, there is plenty left.

I did not find WTA more addictive, just more satisfying. I will eventually order it again. I think it makes a very big difference.

It is a huge success to get down to a PAD. it would be a bigger success if I quit.

As you have already read there are flavors at Aroma with WTA

I wouldn't say more addictive--however in my case, if I had continued to use it past my "I'm done with cigarettes now" point, I would likely go back to smoking again. Not because it's bad, or addictive, I think because it is so much like cigarettes that it evokes for me the "remembrance" of how it feels to smoke, physiologically. Same thing happens if I use Snus regularly. I usually only used WTA sparingly, but sometimes if it was in a tank I would use it all day. I started to notice that the more I used it, I would sneak in a smoke here and there more often than when I hadn't touched WTA for a while. And I craved a smoke more often as well.

I decided on my last quit, to not use the WTA anymore, and just use Snus instead. I don't like it as much as vaping, and so I tend not to use it unless I really feel needy. One can will last me a month or more.

I am not having any real cravings for cigarettes anymore, so for me, WTA was the thing that got me over needing to smoke, and then cutting the cord when I was over the need has kept me from starting again.

I've often wondered the exact same thing. I smoked a pack a day for 25 of the 30 years I smoked, and I thought I smoked about whenever I could. I guess not smoking in the house and not being able to smoke at work kept me from going to 2-3 packs.

N/A

WholeCig does unflavored, but sells flavorings separately so you can DIY your own WTA mixes. Aroma has a full selection of flavors; my personal favorite (although I didn't try a lot of them) is Sahara.

My worst smoking days were working from home as tech support dealing with irate customers who were not told how expensive my department was, costs 250 for a virus removal, 120 as a diagnostics fee if I couldnt fix it. Retrieving your forgotten wireless password? 70. Most of the time your password was in old ticket notes and the way the software worked I could not check your old tickets until after you paid. I always refunded if it was in the notes though. (Didn't feel right making you pay for what work I didn't do, made sure you wrote it down, and taped it under the router!) Unless you had a subscription plan. 120 the first month, 20 a month after that. Lots of angry people. Smoking kept me calm and able to calm you down and get to work quickly. (My average call time was 7 minutes for wireless passwords and 30 minutes for viruses, 45 if my tools fail and I had to remove it manually)
Done with customer? Light a cigarette. Finish notes and wait for next call (good days 2 minutes, bad 20 seconds). Angry customer wont stop yelling for me to say anything? Mute mic and light cigarette (supervisor said I coild smoke as long as they couldn't hear it, had to mute to hide zippi click)

I am glad to hear that you are healing. I think the older you get the harder it is to bounce back from any sort of injury. Bones are bad ones to snap back from. Work with that left wrist. When I broke my right one I babied it and it took much longer to get the strength back in it.

The Liqua coffee is quite good. The Liqua Tiramisu is good, but I have since had a few domestic ones and I will not buy Liqua's Tiramisu again. But if your choices are DeKang, Hangsen, and Liqua it is pretty decent. Some of the flavors are not good at all. I think it is the Hangsen Juicy Peach that seems to get good reviews.

The Fasttech Thread for all Fasttech Posts is a long thread where a lot of people from different countries have done reviews on a mess of the Chinese eliquids. For a lot of people that is all they pretty much can get their hands on easily. Have to do a fair amount of searching the thread and a lot of reading, but worth it. The last few months the thread is pretty much consumed with if their packages are getting through and how long it is taking.

I might try the Hangsen RY4 (we haven't done tobacco flavors). Not to dis Shari's post but we really didn't like the Liqua Tiramisu - kind of like muddy peanut butter. Might try the coffee, though.

Wrists are coming back, although I've got a lot of PT to do on the left one, it's really weak and has limited motion. At least I get to torture myself, which is much preferable to having them do it. Have to make sure to keep working at it though, or they'll take over...

Have a great AM everyone!
Mark
