If what I read about RBAs is true you better be careful of vaping the WTA in one until you do a little reading on WTA. I do not have an rba but I read that most people find they have to cut their nic level, sometimes in half when going from a clearo or straight dripping on an old style 510 atty. What mg juice do you vape? I have read that some people can use a lower nic level of WTA than the nic level they normally vape and it satisfies. Like I said, get on Aroma's thread and read or ask. Maybe someone here knows. I do not.

Well I really like gennys...I have a KFL which is alot of fun, but I prefer gennys ...right now i'm in love with my pulse G atomizer, also i only vape on ceramic wicks though I'm playing around with vertical micro coils in my KFL.I like to vape in the .8 to 1 ohms on mech.or 1.2 on a VV at around 15 watts.

I just ordered some WTA flavorless juice from a place called aroma i think 24mg.....how much do you mix with your juice.

Both DVap and Mr. Mann have written blogs about what WTA is and it's complicated enough that there's several vendors confused by it. But it is true that most ppl find they can cut the nic level or they vape less when using it. I know I can walk away from my PV vaping WTA. The amount I vape is cut by 1/3 or more which makes it not as expensive as it appears to be. Of course, everyone's different. That's my experience.

Oh crap - did I miss it AGAiN! That is some rare eliquid you have. I think if I ever got my hands on some it'd be in a display case with all the alarms, lasers and cameras in a 24kt gold vial and I'd sit and stare at for a long time. It'd be like a 70yr old scotch. Stupid thing is the factory is only about an hour and a half from where I live. I've driven by tons of times. Life is frustrating enough without that. I get Whole Cig now. It's available. There's other reasons why I may even like it more. It's nice to have competition.

From time to time, other vendors have stated they are selling WTA without understanding what it is really. They actually are selling a absolute or net. That's not the same. But unless they are totally transparent about the process, it can be hard for someone without a chemistry background to figure it out for sure. The absolutes and nets always have much more of a true cigarette like ashy flavor. There's a BIG thread of tobacco flavor connosiours on ECF. I get a kick out of how many ways someone can describe a tobacco flavor. I was one of those that smoked anything. I think I've tried seriously quitting millions of times and one of the first things that went was the brand addiction. I say this about WTA because it pays to be a little wary of a new vendor claiming they are offerring WTA. Their eliquid may be fine and good and worthwhile, it just may not be WTA. I'm a big fan of knowing what your getting.

I have had the opposite experience with WTA in that I can go for longer periods of time without anything. I can almost forget cravings but I'm usually vaping unflavored in the past. For me, staying away from tobacco flavors was preferred but not the most successful in the long run. I find a fine line in the flavors. Everyone has their niche. A good tobacco flavor can push me into wanting a smoke again. Other times it cures the crave. Vaping is successful because it is so customizable.

For me, my chronic downfall is hardware. If I have to think about it, fuss with it, fix it, clean it, adjust it, play with it, charge it, then a cigarette is more convienent. The end. I've also had some medical issues and many vapes cause coughing. That's been a struggle too. I just don't have the capacity to deal with additional hurdles right now. It's a process to find what works. At least it has been for me. I have to have a number of mods, tanks and liquids ready to go - right now at all times for any success at all.

After that, I have found that it's been more important to count the ones I don't smoke than the ones I do. My goal is to prefer to vape. I have no issue dragging out a mod and tank in front of others, usually where smoking is ok. Sorta. Big confession - the dang doctor was taking forever so, yup, I vaped in the exam room. No one was the wiser. He-he. I needed those vapes!

My last doctor appointment I told him I quit smoking and he did not sound thrilled about it so I took my spinner out to show it to him and saw his face so I took a big vape right there in front of him and smiled and said, 'see, vapor, no tobacco!' You should have seen his face and the nurse's face. But the nurse 5 minutes earlier told me how it was dangerous. Wonder if they ran to a decontamination room after I left. Ha!

He did not throw me out. See, old ladies can get away with a lot of stuff if we just go for it. I was not rude; I did not blow vapor in his face. Just a nice vapor cloud about 5 feet away from him and the nurse.

I have done that to 2 doctors now. One was more of a personal friend, but in their office nonetheless. The look of shock and horror is priceless. I gotta admit, I am so tempted to do it just for the reaction. Ever get in a full elevator and start staring at the ceiling, then watch how many others look up too? I'm a big sucker for stuff like that. Ppl are funny. Remember Candid Camera?

My friend the doctor really backed off and became curious. I've pulled it out for a singular vape several times since. She's also a proffessor so I had high hopes she might influence some other attitudes.

This last doctor I saw, I told him I was using ecigs and he kept asking me if I seriously wanted to quit (i.e. a chantix script). He wasn't worth getting into it with. A doctor "troll". It ticked me off because I'm probably the last canidate for chantix and it's boarderline malpractice IMO. That stuff should really be taken off the market. Sure quit smoking by having a heart attack. I guess that's if you survive nightmares and sudden onset suicide. What happened to least harm? I was not going to get baited into that conversation.

When I took Chantix the first time I was able to quit smoking about 2 1/2 to 3 months in and I quit for 5 months. I had nightmares and weird dreams that time. The second time I had nightmares and then was consumed with thoughts (and talk) of suicide so bad that I stopped taking it. Took around 3 weeks to be normal again after stopping it. Dangerous stuff. I tell everyone not to take it. It scared the living daylights out of me and my poor DH. He was afraid to leave me alone or if I would wake up in the morning for a bit there. I scared myself. That was 3 months before I started vaping. That whole experience led me to buy that first Blu ecig and google to find ECF. And now you guys are stuck with me.

I'm sorry i found this thread so late....I've been vaping for nearly a year now, and I still smoke. it appears the only thing vaping has done is increase my consumption of nic.I was smoking a pack a day when I started vaping, the first day of vaping I smoked 5 cigarettes...I was ecstatic, and was sure I'd soon by off tobacco. As time wore on my smoking started creeping upward.I became obsessive about vaping, reading about and exploring everything vaping related...I've become a very educated vaper, that uses RBAs in chasing the best flavor, and to my great dissapointment I still smoke, to the point now where I am contemplating giving up vaping, and trying to beat cigs some other way. perhaps I am just an obsessive personality. The thing is i really like vaping.

That's not all that much different than the way I started. The first month was actually fantastic. I was smoking less than a pack a week without trying. Then I got more expensive gear that failed and it was hell. Arrgghh. Quitting was not one of my top priorities at the time. I was going for harm reduction and that's all. I couldn't afford to vape AND smoke!

The worst part is I announced I had quit too. Geesh. How do I explain that and I got a ton of ppl questioning "see ecigs don't work. Quit cold turkey like I did" etc. Tons of it. Still get that. It's BS. Don't you think I would have quit if I could have cold turkey by now? That shuts them up because most ppl know that I have tried many many times to quit in every way possible. I actually have friends who claim they can smell smoke over the phone. Not just hear me smoking, but smell it. They are serious. Grrr.

Screw 'em. This is about you and your journey and what you want for yourself. I don't want to smell like smoke. I don't want to burn holes in my clothes or have the mess from smoking. I don't want the attitude of non-smokers. Most of all, I want to feel healthier and breathe. I came to the crossroads of choosing whether to make the investment into vaping or give it up and decieded it was worth it to me to vape. It's a personal thing.

I can say that right now, there is enough variety on the market that I believe anyone can customize vaping to their needs. I hope it stays that way. I intend to take full advantage of the opportunity that I have now and it shows. I have not saved a penny.

Im one for reactions too. Going on vacation is a fun experiment to see what I can get others to do without realizing that they are doing it.

I also tend to look security cameras dead on and smile and wave or use it as a " mirror" to check the inside of my nose, or make funny faces at. I figure the person stuck watching cameras need a little entertainment.

I am going to reorder in March (next time I should have excess cash) three-four flavors from China, Hangsen RY4, Dekang DK-Tab, Hangsen coffee, Hangsen 555

Glad to see you! How's the wrists??? Looks like you are doing great!

I might try the Hangsen RY4 (we haven't done tobacco flavors). Not to dis Shari's post but we really didn't like the Liqua Tiramisu - kind of like muddy peanut butter. Might try the coffee, though.

Wrists are coming back, although I've got a lot of PT to do on the left one, it's really weak and has limited motion. At least I get to torture myself, which is much preferable to having them do it. Have to make sure to keep working at it though, or they'll take over...

Have a great AM everyone!

You know I'v vaped on RBAs for a year now, I vape 12mg with single wick set ups and 6mg with dual coil set ups....from reading this thread I may need to up my nic level. some attys like the Kayfun even the manufacturer recomends cutting your nic levels, but most people I know into RBAs don't usually vape high nic levels. You find out pretty quick what levels work.alot of the time you may have to cut nic levels in RBAs is not because of the attys, but because of the kind of coils you wrap. there are alot of people who like to vape sub-ohm on them like say 1 or.8 ohm coils....then there are people who like to vape SUB-ohm coils like .4 or .2 vaping at those levels really forces you to cut your nic levels way down.
If what I read about RBAs is true you better be careful of vaping the WTA in one until you do a little reading on WTA. I could have written this post. Buying ecigs and liquids and fiddling were all well and good, but I was still smoking a pack a day like nothing had changed. I went through many many nasty liquids and many many devices trying to find something that would replace smoking. Finding this thread; reading reading reading about devices, toppers, mods, and good-tasting liquid; I spent a LONG time preparing to quit. After over a year and a half of supplementing smoking with vaping, I was finally able to put them down. So far so good, although I always say I'm one weak moment or bad decision away from a pack a day habit again. I have "cheated" and smoked a few times, but I haven't caved and bought a pack, so that's success in my book.

WTA, a variable wattage mod, and a few good tasting DIY flavors finally did it for me. My friends here who hugged and/or hit me when I needed it are the only reason I haven't picked it back up again. I came here and freaked out over cravings and how "hard" it was, and got some sense knocked into me whenever I needed it. It's been a while since I've had a crying fit, so it must have worked.

Good luck to you! We'll support you no matter what direction you go in, and give advice you may not want to boot!

So, how do you use this unflavored 24 mg wta juice, how much do you add to say a 3ml tank of regular e-juice.

I used WTA from both Aroma and Wholecig. Aroma's 24 mg flavored, and Wholecig's 17mg unflavored. I never cut it, always used it full strength. I wouldn't use it exclusively all day, that stuff is some kind of expensive. However, I always had a tank loaded and when I felt strong urges and cravings, I would use it. The miracle is I could take a break from vaping, actually put the device down and walk away. It definitely helped more than regular liquid with nicotine. After a few months I ran out and did not buy any more, I figure I'll leave it for those who really need it now.

Hi, Equality, and welcome!

Do you actually smoke and vape simultaneously? ;-) I've got an e-cig in my mouth so much of the time I couldn't smoke what I used to unless I used both sides of my mouth!

Anyway, my advice is don't rush it, and don't set your expectations too high. give yourself the freedom to smoke when you want, but try to convince yourself to vape for a bit before reaching for the ..... I have advanced degrees in both laziness and procrastination, so I found that I could easily convince myself to just hit the e-cig a couple of times rather than go outside for a smoke.

I still smoke a couple in the morning (and sometimes in the evening) but for most of the day inertia keeps me away from them.

Good luck!

Mark
